Man I won't lie, this is a good video, well-spoken. I'm currently using Amuse but to touch on your points i'll have to get back at you when i have more time to comment.!
Aloha. Checked out your music and I like what I've heard. Good work. I've been with Tunecore for years and honestly can say that they are hands down the best if you're getting streams and you promote your music. Payments, paperwork and resources are usually always in good order. I use Distrokid as well when I know it's a collaboration project (easier for royalty splits) or for some singles. Both are good but Tunecore has more resources to exploit in my opinion and the new price model is a no brainer. If I were to pick one it'd be Tunecore but I use both for the reasons stated. Hope this helps. 🤙
Hi Papi. I really enjoyed watching your video. Super informative! I was wondering if you have access to your Spotify Artists page using Tunecore. Also, are you still having issues uploading your music to RUclips and getting copyrighted for it?
As far as the RUclips and tunecore problem goes involved this by simply adding my music that tunecore uploaded to RUclips To a custom Playlist on my channel So all the music is available on my channel even its uploaded by tunecore.
Hello friend, thank you for this video, I will also use tunecore, but how do they pay us? Is it monthly, quarterly or weekly? And is there a deduction when they pay us? For example, I will receive a payment of $400, a deduction of $5.99.
From most streaming platforms you keep 100% of revenue (Spotify, Apple Music) from others like TikTok and Instagram you keep 80%. I receive payments every couple days because it is broken down something like Semi Monthly. Maybe today I get April Spotify Stream payments and I’m 3 days I get May streams from RUclips music.
Hi i have a question about uploading with distributors... what if i go ahead with content id with lets say tunecore.. and then whem i upload my musicvideo to youtube after that, i get a copyright Claim? Do i upload my vid to youtube first and then register to the distributor? What is the best way to go about it? Also my music is serbian, distrokid doesnt have serbian language as an option.. does the language of the music an affect on whie distibutor i use? Does tunecore have serbian as an option for language? Any help is appreciated thanks!
Vlade, I also have had trouble getting copyright strikes; I uploaded my first music video to RUclips so I will find out if TuneCore strikes it within a few days. If they do strike it again, I will tell them to no longer upload my videos to RUclips. In terms of Serbian language, I am not sure if they have this but I have not looked.
hello and thanks for your video it was very informative, but i have accounted some problem with tune core I have uploaded my music and made some money but when i asked for a withdrawal they said that "Withdrawals Are Temporarily on Hold" and i have no idea how to solve that, can you please help?
I assume it would be in the payment section but perhaps they do not allow use of payoneer. I keep the money on my account to pay for future subscription renewals, I am yet to withdraw anything
Hello Tell me please I registered yesterday on Tunecore accidentally forgot to check the box where the vocals That is, I have no vocals. And I can’t change anything since the request is gone. Is it critical? hello from Moldova
hey bro thank you for your information about tunecore. I've been using SoundCloud (Repost) as my music distributor for about 1 and half year and it is just awesome for me. I mean their service is as good as I want at least. I haven't have any issue or problem using SC. But one thing that I wanna mention is that they take 20% of the money that is being collected. However they pay you every month and thats kinda cool thing. But recently I am thinking about switching to another distributor that actually does't take any percentage of your money, you know what am saying. So I am just wondering which one is better to use and to trust. I am going around distrokid and tunecore these days and just cannot make a decision). On youtube like 50% people are considering but 50% of people kinda not liking TuneCore saying they are having trouble using it. Distrokid and TuneCore have their plus sides like Distrokid is faster and trustable but you gotta pay some fees to use some of the add-ons like youtube content ID, and I think you cannot write your own label name on your songs' credit section and you can not get your own youtube channel be verified as an artist with the help of them. TuneCore gives you these things that I mentioned like youtube content ID, your own label name, and youtube verification tick with the subscription, which I and others prefer to have... Let us know if you will have another experiences using tunecore that would be a help to the others to make a decision.
Same question about best practices for tunecore and RUclips. IIUC sign up for tunecore RUclips Content ID but don't let them distribute to RUclips. Next upload to your own RUclips channel, which may get a Content ID strike, but you can now approve/clear it? It seems a bit clunky, is there a way to verify your RUclips channel in tunecore, that would avoid all this 🤔😂
@@papikodak Hey again! Sorry for delayed reply. I don't really know which one is best I haven't made a decision yet but I think I am going to go with distrokid for now (EDITED HERE: I wanted to update my comment that I am becoming a bit opposite with Distrokid after a deep researching. What I've found out is that with Distrokid you HAVE TO PAY additional fees after annual subscription like RUclips Content ID which is I think one of the most important services when it comes to collecting royalties. And you have to pay per single or per album every year additional to your annual subscription plan. So imagine if you go with Musician Plus plan which is $39.99/per year and if you switch RUclips Content ID you gotta pay $5/per single or $15/per album EVERY YEAR. And of course it means that more songs/albums you release the more money you pay every year. But if you stop using Distrokid they stop working with you as well taking your songs down for life which means you loose your songs on music platforms and stop receiving money from your work. That's what I was gonna tell you guys). And SC is still paying me I haven't renewed the annual subscription yet so that's awsome!)
