Am considering switching from Distrokid to CD Baby, the reason being that I want my music to stay up indefinitely, but don't want to pay $50 per album for "Leave a Legacy", it actually might work out far cheaper for me to move those songs to CD Baby, and I won't need to pay a yearly fee anymore. I have a couple of questions though: 1) As far as I know, CD Baby has a requirement that all the songs must be 16 bit wav/flac files. I am sure I used 24 bit flac files for at least half of my songs. Will there be any problem transferring these? 2) Several songs were released twice (once as a single and once on an album/EP, but with the same ISRC for both). If possible, I'd only like to move the albums and EPs over. Will I keep the full play count, or only those plays that came from the album? Also, will these songs stay on playlists (if the single version was the one added to a playlist, but the album version is the one I'm moving)? Would be very grateful if someone could answer these! Not 100% sure yet about moving the songs, just considering it

Yes you can I’m doing the same. Just gonna wait til next year when my year is up. My next release for next month I turned in through DK. UM is stressful and they don’t really seem to care about extra factors or resources for artists.
@@nancymanetmusic It is possible, but you have to be careful and organize your artist pages. We had plenty of mistakes such as second pages, uploads to the wrong artist pages and so on. It requires some administration but is possible.

Yes, I use distrokid and CD Baby for my profile. Distributors upload songs to a profile, they don't handle the profile, so you can have two different releases under the two distributors

Yeah just make sure that on that distributor site your original Artist Account is connected to it

iSRC is the more important code to have transferred over so you should be good

Don't they usually send you notifications through email if it live on Spotify and so on?? or maybe you can wait for a week to be sure.
