Was on the WB studio tour a few years ago in LA. She walked right past me as I stared at here with probably the goofiest grin ever. She smiled at me and said hello 👋 made my day!!! Such a talented and versatile actress, she elevates any production she is a part of!!!
One of those rare examples of an actor who is always worth watching regardless of the production, and is always a great casting choice. And a rare example of being gifted in versatility.
So true. Discovered her on Cybill (she was so fun as the drunk best friend) and then saw her in so many other things, and many dramatic roles. Always wonderful.
I've only ever seen her in films and on television, but I've always been impressed by her versatility and comedy core. The range between Leonard's mum in The Big Bang Theory and the part she played in Mama Mia is huge but both are real, and really funny.
I did the same thing at 60 years old in 2008, smashed the kneecap to 11 pieces. I was not in a musical but it still bothers me today in 2021. You’re amazing CB!
I'm glad Minnie Driver got over Calista Flockhart stealing Harrison Ford and then we're getting rejected by Barbra Streisand with Josh Brolin so hope she's happy as well nice interview with the two women
It is sometimes difficult to imagine the offstage lives of actors and how they view themselves and their careers. I remember going backstage after seeing Sweeney Todd. The first question out of Cris Groenendaal's (Anthony Hope) mouth was "How did I look climbing the stairs?" My date was surprised and confused, but I knew that he was referring to the fact that he was still recuperating from a torn achilles tendon. That was the hardest part of acting that role for him. Christine Baranski knows about that, I am sure.
Excellent interview on both sides, Minnie shows depth of understanding, lets her talk without interrupting and making it about herself as some stars do,,,
Oh Miss Baranski...l played that Role....its a beast...there are 18scenes...and Mame is in 17of them-new costume..shoes jewelry....the stage people called it a "four letter word"....but we had a marvy cast...and it WAS fun...
Funniest woman ! All the way back to Cybill, her best scene was when Marianne found out she was broke and thought some retail therapy would cheer her up- until she realized she COULDNT shop anymore and pretend fainted. Classic and hilarious
*Hardest Role for Christine Baranski? This 'ol broad naturally fit all her roles in nice shoes whether in a dress or pant suit. Now that's the conversation to be having. The old woman who lived in a shoe ain't ever given this 'ol dog a bone...* JLSwag
Met her briefly years ago in a public restroom, and she is an incredibly humble soul!
Because she's a classy lady
Miss Baranski never gives a poor performance, any thing she's ever done. Awm
Christine steals the show every single time. So good to see Minnie in this format. She always seems so genuine.

Her greatest role in my humble opinion was playing Maryann in Cybill.
that did become her breakout role
Used to love that show
She made that show
Omg yes 😂. Dr. Dick...
She was in Bakersfield with Cybill and couldn't believe that an establishment there did not serve cocktails: "Is this Earth?"

True, & there sure aren't many!
I’ve always loved her as an actress. What a class act.
Christine Baranski is totally fabulous!
I loved Christine Baranski in the Good Wife. She is brilliant.
Christine is amazing in whatever role she takes on. Why does she not get more recognition?
I so love her. Got to see her in Sweeney Todd at The Kennedy Center... What a thrill ! 👏🏼💙
Christine Baranski is so classy and that’s a rare thing for today!
Plenty of classy people if you look..
I've only ever seen her in films and on television, but I've always been impressed by her versatility and comedy core. The range between Leonard's mum in The Big Bang Theory and the part she played in Mama Mia is huge but both are real, and really funny.

"Mame'd"... I love it!
What an exquisite actress. Her timing is impeccable. Saw her on Broadway, winning a Tony for Tom Stoppard’s “The Real Thing”. Absolutely brilliant.
She is great! Loved her in “Bowfinger”. She does comedy and drama wonderfully! Beautiful!
Bowfinger is criminally underrated. More people should see it.
@@edwardrusk I agree Edward. I absolutely love the film. It's hilarious.
Yes! Bowfinger is one of the best comedies ever 👍🏻
Always, always, always worth seeing!! Never lets you down.
At first this looks like an interview from the 90's, then it shows Minnie driver and nope it's current! Neither of them age
I'm glad Minnie Driver got over Calista Flockhart stealing Harrison Ford and then we're getting rejected by Barbra Streisand with Josh Brolin so hope she's happy as well nice interview with the two women
Leonie Diana Francis that’s a weird way of putting it, by all accounts Harrison Ford pursued Calista Flockart, she didn’t steal him at all
@@Prieze868 Did Minnie date Harrison? Isn’t he old enough to be her father?
just love Christine Baranski... What a talent... And she's beautiful too
I adore Christine Baranski! It's one of my favorite actresses! She is beautiful, verry talented and so verry funny! 🤗❤️
She is incredibly versatile as an actress/singer/dancer. My favorite Baranski Moment is “Does Your Mother Know?!”
I love both these women! Thank you Variety for these amazing interviews 👏🏽
Christine doesn't age fr! I saw The Ref in 1994 as a kid and thought she was cool and beautiful, and still do now. How is she 66 years old?
I am so glad you told us how hard actor's & actresses work! Good for you! You go girl! Admire your backbone!
Class. Work ethic. Impressive. She must have been in SUCH good shape after all that. Plus she's funny AF!
Would love to see you in Mame! Must have been fantastic! You are one of my favorite performers. Thank you.
Amazing! Hope you get an Emmy nom for TGF!
I loved her when she spoke of her ex, Dr Dick.
Me too! She was absolutely brilliant, have been a fan ever since. Love everything she does, always worth watching her.
And she was probably in heels, nothing but respect.
How uniquely gorgeous and lovely are both these women!

The first thing that popped into my head when she said she fell was "Maimed" I almost spit Pepsi on my monitor when SHE said it! LOL
Me too.. I spit out my soda in laughter. That certainly is finding humor in adversity. :)
Love 💘 Christine Baranski !!
Christine Baranski!!!!! where is the full interview??
If only the actors and actresses or entertainers, could learn a lesson from this. Most people would have just left NYC.
Excellent interview on both sides, Minnie shows depth of understanding, lets her talk without interrupting and making it about herself as some stars do,,,
I loved Christine Baranski in the movie “The Ref”. Sooooo funny!!!
I love her! Great interview.
And she was wonderful in the role!
I loved her in Mamma Mia💫
I just LOVE HER!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love your work!
She shines in everything she does no matter the size of the role.
I love her! She’s so classy and talented ❤😊
Christine Baranski is just fabulous... Period
I love her!
Ah!! What a talent! What a woman!!!
Oh Miss Baranski...l played that Role....its a beast...there are 18scenes...and Mame is in 17of them-new costume..shoes jewelry....the stage people called it a "four letter word"....but we had a marvy cast...and it WAS fun...
Sadly her show never transferred to Broadway, where she would have triumphed.
I guess that severe injury was the reason why.
Minnie Driver’s laugh gets me every time.
Looove Christine so much
i thought the answer might be - act as cybil's friend
That is what I thought. Lol.
Funny...Rosalind Russell broke her ankle in preparation for the '58 movie while running down those stairs!
oh, wow!
I hear all of that. Been there. Damn. "What We Do For Love"
She was fabulous in Mame.
I loved her in "Bad Mom's Christmas!"
She's delightful.
Great actress. Period.
Minnie Driver is gorgeous. Also, love Christine!
She is truly unforgettable
This woman is art.
She is Everything
That is amazing!
Loved her in birdcage
Wow, she is tough!
Trooper extraordinaire!!!!!
Funniest woman ! All the way back to Cybill, her best scene was when Marianne found out she was broke and thought some retail therapy would cheer her up- until she realized she COULDNT shop anymore and pretend fainted. Classic and hilarious
She’s pretty hot for an older woman. I like her eyes when she smiles.
saw her in Mame...she was good but would have been a better Vera...But still a great night of theater
Two classy ladies right here.
Great actress.
Wow Minnie Driver is gorgeous.
So that was harder than dealing with Cybil Shepard ..... hard to believe!
You really think they disagreed that much? I read that she caused problems for Chuck Lorre but I haven't read anything about Christine
Wooow, I can only imagine how grueling that must have been.
Sexy classy I loved her in The Good Wife and then she did great comedy act in The Big Bang Theory as Leonard’s mom.
She Seems like a classy lady
She is rather fetching!
Stars interviewed by Stars? cool!
I didn’t get much further, after she dissed the hosts acting ability by not mentioning it as an attribute. 😂
Gag me with the kneecap story.
Anybody remember her in Frasier?
Yes! Thanks for reminding me! That's what I wanted to remember!
"SLIPPERS... SIZE 6"

How refreshing to hear a female thespian actually refer to herself as an Actress, instead of an 'Actor'. Why are people so afraid of Gender?
👻 Boo, I’m gender!
Seriously nobody is afraid of gender, jog on Vanessa.
Zoey best of season 1
I suspect the hardest job she had was working with Cybil Shepard
Who?
Mama Mia......funny lady..
She’s so diferent from aunt Agnes.
hmmmm, Minnie would make a good female Joker i think.
Sexy, sophisticated, infinite talent.
Beverly Hoffstaeder
What?! Playing 'Patsy' over and over?!...
Mean while someone is sitting in emergency room right now with a panic attack because they were misgendered
High falutin, air of superiority, grandiose and effete. If only she could act.
When did Minnie Driver start stealing chandeliers? Tacky, tacky.
Doesn't Minnie Driver look like Meghan markle
Oh boo hoo.
