I have both elite and mij in fg and elites are definitely my favorite. Material is nicely soft inside and outside and the sole is less stiff. MIJ feel more structured, harsher, thinner and way too grippy for me and also having way too stiff outsole compared to elites. First touch and juggling is pretty good with both of them. Those insoles are also so grippy you don't need grip socks with them even when putting them in other shoes. I wish they sold them seperate too.
I’ve tried on the MIJs 3 times and the Elites 3 times at random shops in Thailand & Japan. The Elites honestly fit way better for me (which I thought was just probably me). Glad to know Noah addressed this and can’t wait to get an AG pair the next round. These boots are so amazing for a new silo. Def give it a go 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I’ve had the turf version of the elites for a year now, and they have been great! They’ve also held up impeccably. Anytime I’m on short AG they’re on my feet.

They hurt my feet in the beginning. Hot spots were bad. But the moment they broke in, they fit so well. Tied, untied It didn't matter. Once they mold to your foot. It is like wearing nothing at all.
So hard for you create content on lower spec models how much you put out. genuinely happy you got given the wrong spec 🤣 ideal for what I’m looking for especially when they’re so much cheaper!

I wear the elites and they run a half size long. I wear US 9 and the US 8.5. They are one of the best boots I’ve worn. The lockdown is crazy and no slippage what so ever.

These are my goat boots fr secured and locked in and comfort plus fit 🔥will say defo patience needed to break in as a wide footed player though worth it tho
Mate you should try the MIJ in this colorway. I know you've tried the black and the green ones, but I think the white models, because of the paint, just fit better than the others, they're synthetics so they react differently to the paints, I found the black and the green ones to be a bit more stiff than the white ones.
I also have both and prefer the elites! I think the soleplate is more comfortable and flexi, and the upper also has a little bit more rigidity (in a good way) and holds its shape better!
i read on the mizuno thailand website (dont ask) that the alpha FG version is made with the same last as the morelia neo 3, while the AG version is made with the last of morelia 2. so maybe with the AG version you will have a little bit more luck with the width. i have only worn the Alpha AG so far and they are quite wide. my favorite boot right now even tho we are entering SG season right now :/

Great review mate. Been wearing the GX2 and the Mizuno Morelia Neo 4 Beta MIJ. I love the Mizunos for general ball manipulation but when it comes to pinging a long ball I find they struggle and don’t live up to the GX2. However the GX2 is slightlyyy too sticky on drier surfaces for general ball manip so might give these Alphas a go 😂 off the top of your head do you know which Mizunos also provide that pingy feeling when playing longer balls? If there any? Keep up the great work mate! 🙌
Interesting note about the sizing compared to MIJ. I've tried both Elite and MIJ and didn't notice a sizing difference. Maybe it's because yours is a prototype, or maybe it's variance from one colorway to another.
Can you do a review video and a one month review where you test the Mizuno Morelia Neo 4 Beta Elite? And maybe compare it to the MIJ model and if the MIJ model is really worth the insane price? Good video btw 🙂

Elite > MIJ for my foot. Especially if you don't like the stiff sole plate. It has that awesome classic 8 studs on the forefoot but they're shaped to be aggressive. For whatever reason, MIJ fit a bit longer than Elite in the same size.

Awesome review but I wouldn’t consider these a “takedown model” … for me it’s similar to how the superfly and vapors used to be…the MIJ are the premium variant of the elites.. if that makes sense 😂

My GOAT boots have both the elite's and the Mij and they arr both incredible, from now i will buy only elites because the cost less and they are 99.9% the same, in adidas and nike i have size 44, with mizuno i have 43 and it's perfect 👌 ❤
As cool as the MIJ version is I just think this is a case where you gotta give it to the elite versions because you’re essentially having 90% of the same materials. Have a pair of Alpha elites and frankly speaking it’s a pair I always have in my bag
The price of the MIJ's is ridiculous to be honest. Had them both side by side (in blue), and the only difference is lining is slightly thicker on the elite, and it doesn't have the Karvo plate. Honestly can't understand why they cost so much. The colour and finish on the elite was also better. For shooting they feel the best out of all the boots I've tried (vapor 16, ultra 5, Morelia 4 beta and others). I have 2 main issues with them. The way the upper curls at the toe box, it presses onto my big toe. I'm hoping with time that goes, but it prevents me from wearing it for long. Other issue is they don't have my size in AG which is annoying. FG soleplate works on turf, but is slightly too aggressive for me to play at 100%

Only gripe I might have with them is the studs are sharp and the solework and feel on the ball makes that a little slippery. Flat studs like on the Neo add just that little extra ball control in my humble opinion.
Nice review will strongly consider these. Do you think its better to have a slightly more tight boot around the feet? where the feet are slightly hurting? I have seen pros have really poor looking feet partly due to wearing more tightly fitted boots. for example, if you are usually a 9.5 US size where it feels comfort but instead get a 9 US for that extra tight feeling to have a more close tighter maximum control on the ball but you would sacrificing by hurting your feet a bit more? I noticed that when I went for a slightly more tight fit where it was hurting my feet, I did notice better ball control and ability generate more power. Also, say when you get a half a size down new boots at first it would be really uncomfortable but after you break them or do the steam method, they will be the ideal fit.

But I’ve noticed recently the insole itself slips inside the boot when I put the boot on? Is there a way to stopping the insole sliding down into the boot ( I appreciate the insole is quite sticky)
That's fantastic mate! Definitely a common occurrence for me too, especially because the insole is so grippy. Just try and wiggle your toes a bit to force your foot in without touching the bottom of the insole.

I got the elite AG on sale for 650rmb (90usd) best deal I ever got. Consistently prefer them over my 200-300 usd Nike/adidas boots. However have found one issue on the AG stud pattern the last two rear studs are very very narrow increasing the risk of slipping or rolling ur ankle. I hope they fix that in the Alpha 2 AG version.
I switch from Nike mercurial vapour to mizuno even tho I have narrow foot it feel perfect I going to get the bottom tier model and try it out and see what difference but after I turn the bottom tier one to metal studs

the AG version should be wider than the FG because its made on a different last afaik. i have quite wide midfoot and the AG alphas fit me comfortably. they run a bit longer than morelia 2 elites so keep that in mind with sizing. they dont stretch so they have to be a bit larger out of the box

That happened to me with the Mizuno Morelia Neo IV AS turf shoes. My usual US 10 was stupidly long. I got the Wave Cup Legend AS in a US 9.5 and they fit perfectly

Take one pair today in ohi sì al shop of Fútbol emotion. 150€ sale was a banger for me. Normally i wear 9us i Took 8.5us. Def for me half size down. 9 us was too big. Even now i have little bit extra space like i have in my phantom gx2

They don't mate, this upper is very stiff but will mold around your foot

the AG version should be wider than the FG because its made on a different last afaik. i have quite wide midfoot and the AG alphas fit me comfortably. they run a bit longer than morelia 2 elites so keep that in mind with sizing. they dont stretch so they have to be a bit larger out of the box

I got these with the AG soleplate and they're so comfy. However the AG model don't have the heel counter, why is that?

Did not run true to size for me. In my normal brand (nike) i use 44 eu. I went for a 44 in the mizunos.. they were like clown boots..:(
That happened to me with the Mizuno Morelia Neo IV AS turf shoes. My usual US 10 was stupidly long. I got the Wave Cup Legend AS in a US 9.5 and they fit perfectly
It's important to follow the mizuno guide, which is tracing your feet and measuring it. Fit perfectly when I did that.

@@NoahCavanaughnot really. I have unnatural long toes. So its maybe 3 mm between my big toe and the end of the boots. But my other toes are so long that they are at the end. So dont know, maybe in the mizunos my size they are longer than in your size? Like 44 in mizunos is like 45 in nike boots but 43/42.5 is true to size?
What about elite-ag does it have any difference from elite-fg?
I haven't tried them, but I've heard they're excellent!

Would you say the length difference is enough to warrant going to up a half size from the MIJ size? My alpha MIJ size is US10 but I have basically no extra space in the front. A MIJ US10.5 had a tad too much space lengthwise, but if these are shorter I'm wondering if my toes would be crushed going with the same size...
I wouldn't, no - these actually fit TTS where as the MIJ model fits 1/4 size long
