Hey Noah, just to share 2 things. The wave cup turf is actually a "takedown" and the Morelia Sala Japan TF is the highest grade that Mizuno offers for turf. Secondly, the Sala Japan has a flaw that the suede materially doesn't stretch at all. 4 purple toes later, I decided to go up half a size and that's the best decision I've made.
@@RobertrVr more doesn't mean better quality unfortunately. It really depends on the whole construction of the boot and its fit. The Sala is just miles better than the wave cup for me. The wave cup gave me and several players with heel blisters galore.
I was lucky to get these exact shoes in my rotation and after 1-2 wears I can easily speak about how glorious they are. If only they were more accessible
i have the elites in the mcdonalds colorway and i love them they fit superbly and they feel like they will never ever break. the grip isnt quite enough for 11-a-side tho for me
I think Asics Destaque TF deserve a shout as well if you can’t get these. They come in extra wide 4E and offer your toes a lot of wiggle room. They’re a bit pricey on eBay but it’s worth it.
Those Asics Destaque look quite interesting, have you tried them? If so, what are your impressions? Currently looking for a new TF pair and I have both Asics and Mizunos on my watch list. Appreciate the input!
@@javilt22 I have two different pairs, one has a synthetic skin which is the cheaper version. But there’s another version with K-Leather in the toe box similar to the Mizuno Morelia Pro’s. They’re a tad bit pricey on E-Bay but if you can get them, they’re worth it.
I have the elite version and this is incridible, though my only concern is that the midsole there is not much cushioning similar to Nike Premier or New ballance 442, but apart of that is awesome. Definitely Mizuno has tech to do better regading the midsole that it will be perfect for my taste.
I ended up buying the Wave Cup Legend AS shoes for $130 and they’re awesome. I went down half a size to 9.5 from my usual 10 and that seems to be just right.
Heh Noah did you ever end up playing/practicing in the Adler Yamatokyos? Just curious since the shank isn’t apart of the Karvo insert and the midfoot isn’t as stable did you notice your feet get tired quicker?
Hey Noah, this comment is not too much related to this video, but it’s your most recent upload right now and I have a quick question…. So I’m trying to decide wether my next boot should be a Mizuno Morelia Neo typed boot, or the Tekela v4+. For the Tekela, the main reason I haven’t grabbed it yet is due to the suggestion of the sole plate in your “play test video” You said you believed it may be a bit too aggressive for AG surfaces. However, in your “Control boot ranking video” you said due to the conical studs of the Tekela it’s suitable for both AG and FG, which Re Sparked my interest in the Tekela. I play on both FG and AG Surfaces, so the Tekela ‘AG’ plate is not good for me bc it’s not suitable for FG. However, ironically I’m mainly on AG surfaces at this point in time, but I know I need a boot that’s suitable for Both. Do you think I should avoid the Tekela bc my team sessions trainings during the week most days are on AG, or will I be fine playing 4-5 days of the week playing on AG Surfaces in the FG stud pattern? Apologies for the long comment lol
Thanks for the context mate! At the end of the day, FIT is the most important. If the Tekela fits you well, you'll be totally fine for both AG and FG. I wear the Tekela on AG on a semi-frequent basis and it's totally fine!
Hi are these true to size? They only have the blue version with tongue in stock. I wear adidas Copa pure elite true to size … in Nike don’t remember but not true to size . Is the blue version also recommended? Thx
@@NoahCavanaugh Hi thx to your recommendation I got the Wave Cup version, the fit seems awesome... Just one issue, the laces are thinner than I'm used to, feels like they don't adjust so well... Will changing the laces fix it, or is this a upper break-in issue? What's your take on these laces?
Will there be an update on how it felt playing on these? Also, I currently use vapor 15 pro for tf, but they are worn out. Are you able to give your opinion on how the touch on the Mizuno compare to vapors? Thank you in advance! Love your review content

I just bought the Mizuno Morelia Neo IV Pro AS turf boots, and they are a full size too long. I was very disappointed cause I have the Rebula Cup in a size 10, and they fit me perfectly.
My personal favorite turf shoe is the Athleta O-Rei Treinamento A005. Been my go-to since I lived in Taiwan, similar construction to the Morelia Sala. Granted they are incredibly hard to get outside of Asia, but they’re easily the most comfortable turf shoes I’ve ever worn.
Please do more turf boot reviews. I would say most people play on turf these days. I used to play grass, astro and Indoor wooden floor with felt ball(my fav) but exclusively play turf now
Are they good for wide feet? Trying to choose between these and "Mizuno Morelia 2 Pro AS", whick are considered good for wide feet according to tokyofootball site. I also like to dribble a lot and "SALA MIJ" looks a bit clunky with this suede in front just like tiempos, wonder what's a better choice for a winger...
