Very important video. I tore my acl playing with an fg/ag they had a mix of conical and bladed studs) shoe a few years back. There’s no reason not to opt for a strictly ag boot or turf boot which would be a little safer. If money is your concern first off your health comes first and secondly I promise you’ll spend 100 times more on physiotherapy assuming best case scenario that your surgery is covered by the government depending where you live and don’t get me started if you live in the U.S where surgery isnt covered. I can’t stand watching people using fg boots on turf/ag at least use strictly conical studs. Also your boots get messed up way quicker I had a beautiful pair of Vapor 11 elites where studs broke off. This is an extremely important video. Buy 2 pairs of boots if u have too. It’s not worth the risk at all and it’s not even debatable. It’s a serious issue.
Wow sorry to hear that! I'm glad you think it was important to share. I've heard and seen way too many injuries, and in my opinion, there's not a lot of awareness of turf related injuries. That's why even some pros wear AG on grass which is wild.
@@soccerkicksofficial I haven’t really played on natural grass in a while. But if I do I’d probably use regular fg cleats because the fields I go to are strictly natural grass. It’s only the professional pitches I believe that mix em up because it’s easier to maintain and even field
Thanks for the note! Someone had mentioned I didn't include HG and MG so I'll have to circle back on those plates. I will note those are way less common but still important.
A big problem with turf boots is that in wet conditions they lack bite. Those Alpha Elite TF are exceptional in terms of traction as far as turf boots go! One of my go to pairs that work in wet and dry conditions. I have an AG Morelia Neo Pro IV that is excellent value for money as far as AG boots go.
@@soccerkicksofficial I just got the F-50 Elite in the AG and I’m actually pretty impressed - they’re not as good as Mizuno’s plate but it’s a big step up from other Adidas AG boots I’ve tried!
@@soccerkicksofficial No stud pressure for me! I know Boot Wizard mentioned stud pressure and Josh’s review was negative, but I think they’re fantastic! They feel really good underfoot and the upper softens up nicely after a couple of sessions. It also fits really well. For reference I have about 5 pairs Nike Ag-pro boots, a couple of Mizuno Ag boots, a few Adidas, and the Puma Futures with the MG plate. These are as good if not better than any of those in terms of how they feel underfoot on AG, and it’s just an all around great boot.
Great vid! I think its sad that many "pure" ag boots arent real leather. I was tempted to go for the morelia 4 but heard that the durability wont be as good as the alpha on ag, so i went with the alpha :)
Thanks for the video What do you think about puma mg for mainly turf, can't find any ag boots around here? it's either puma mg or turf boots that's what available to me
Tore my ACL twice ones on my left knee and on my right. Please don’t use FG boots. I brought some diadora cleats for ag and I thought it was okay because the studs were cronical but still tore my ACL because my cleats got stuck but some ag or turf boots
Ah no so sorry to hear that. What Diadoras were you using if you don't mind me asking? Both times you tore your ACL you were wearing FG boots on an AG pitch?
Great shout! I should've mentioned those but since HG or MG is not common in North America I didn't think to include it. However, definitely a mention I'll do in my next review when I revisit the topic 👊

@@soccerkicksofficial ya it’s no joke. Plus most grass fields are reinforced by some artificial grass
@pharaohsoccerp oh wow I didn't know that! Do you use AG even on natural grass?
@@soccerkicksofficial I haven’t really played on natural grass in a while. But if I do I’d probably use regular fg cleats because the fields I go to are strictly natural grass. It’s only the professional pitches I believe that mix em up because it’s easier to maintain and even field
@@soccerkicksofficial but in saying that I don’t know. When I do go back to playing on natural grass I might very likely get ag boots
This was a very helpful video, covering all aspects of the subject. Thanks for sharing!

The ag boots u can found it at decathlon with reasonable price and good quality.
That's great! Can you share the website? And where is it based? I can't find it.
Turf shoes are nice for injury recovery too not just prevention. Even on grass
Yes great tip! Turf shoes on grass is tricky though but AG on grass is not uncommon 😤

yeah 100% turf boots do make you want just a little more. The Mizuno AG selections are fantastic, the Neos are a great buy!

@Vikp684 I still have to try those but have heard good things! At a glance, they look solid 👊 no stud pressure or anything?

I know I said the Mizuno AG plate was better but I just got back from a session wearing the F-50s and I think it’s just as good….
Man , my position is CB/CDM can you suggest me between Copa Pure 1 & Predator Acuracy .3 & Mutator 20+ ?
I would go for the Copa Pure! It'll give you the most comfort and protection 👊

Unfortunately turf kills leather so great choice on going with synthetic 😎
Thanks for the video

Puma MG is great! If you want to have something a little more aggressive, go with MG instead of turf.

You missed HG from nike adidas and MG from puma
