- On this vlog Connor and Eric take you to the scene of 2 wildland fires and a structure fire that spread to vegetation. You'll also see images and video from the Pine Gulch Fire, the biggest in Colorado history, where Brush Engine 41 and a Safety Officer from SMFR were deployed. SMFR crews are also assisting at the Cameron Peak Fire and with Hurricane Laura.
*We are experiencing high demand for patch requests. Patches are currently out of stock.*
All fire departments should be like south metro, having multiple towns inside one fire district allows for better funding and training, and if any fire videos should be used for training, it should be your department

hello from Australia really like your video's
How many calls does one area get in a year and which is the busiest station.
The numbers of calls an area gets can be very different because South Metro's district is very large with urban, suburban, and rural areas. In 2019, three station districts (11, 21, and 34) had more than 2,500 calls while five station districts (38, 39, 40, 43, and 47) had less than 500 calls. Station 34 is South Metro's busiest station with all the units stationed there making 6,355 runs in 2019.
I can’t wait!
Awesome Guys.
Stay safe Brothers. Hope you are wildland teams and search-and-rescue teams get home safe.

Former Voly in New Mexico. Currently US Army in Germany! Requested a patch! Hope to get it in the mail soon!
Y’all should make videos of you guys responding to calls with lights and sirens
7:10 not suprising, october is california's most active wildland fire month because of off shore drying wind events (diablo/santa ana winds)
it seems like its been dry all around in spots in the USA up here in New Hampshire we are down 7 inches of rain the lake we have in town is down 35 inches some of our dry hyrdrents are dried up luckly we do have cysterns. we only have 21 pressurized hydrents in town everything else is tender support. Hope we all get some rain soon. Is the large wild fire showing signs of contaiment you spoke of?
So I noticed, that there was a new pickup serving as safety 35. Is this a temporary unit or did south metro buy new safety units?
You should do a day in the life of a bat chief and PIO
They just did a bc day in the life
LOVE FROM AUSTRALIA

you should do a fleet friday on the other dive unit
I got to go code blue just got called.
I love you Conner
whats the difference between a brush engine and a brush truck?
A brush engine can be seen at 1:54 & 8:17 and a brush truck can be seen at 1:50 & 8:10. There are also Fleet Fridays available for a brush engine at ruclips.net/video/wm6Qf1Cnhb4/видео.html and brush truck at ruclips.net/video/6SPVuByLrEg/видео.html for additional information.
A brush truck is a pickup truck with a tank and pump for quick access for hard to reach places and a brush engine is a hybrid between a fire engine and a brush truck that provides better access than a fire engine. In the wildland world, a lower number typically means something that is larger and more capable than something with a higher number; for example a fire engine is a Type 1 engine, a brush engine is a Type 3 engine, and a brush truck is a Type 6 engine.
Do you have to pay for Patches
How many Sutphens are in the fleet?
South Metro Fire Rescue - Centennial, Colorado just curious, I live down the road from Sutphen. It’s just crazy looking at the apparatus being tested off the highway.
do you guys have a Fairfax County Fire and Rescue patch?
If you didn’t I could have send you one.
What will the next day in the life be?
Where in Colorado are you guys located
There District is quite massive, but simplicity is next to denver, some of their District boundaries boarder denver, littleton comes to mind when they absorbed them.
1:34 There is a safety 12? where is it stationed?
Safety 12 is a training officer dedicated to the Troy S. Jackson Training Center located in Englewood, Colorado. There is also a Safety 10 who is the Chief of the Training Bureau and Safety 11 who is the dedicated training officer for the Joint Services Facility in Parker, Colorado. They are usually at the training centers where they conduct trainings and do not typically respond to calls like Safety 18 and Safety 35 do. They can self assign themselves to calls and operate like a Safety Officer if they are available.
From Indonesia🇮🇩
Csfd has crews at the fire and at Laura
Any Tips for Physical or Mental excercises to prepare for the academy?
From what iv'e heard, cardio and stamina training. You should look up the passing requirements for the academy you are going to and train towards being able to do that. As for mental. just keep calm and keep your eye on the goal. anyway Good luck, I'm hopping that ill be going to the academy in about a year. Also they have a series on their academy so you could watch that to see what to expect
Matthew T Thank, you
Hey South Metro I’m a firefighter from New Jersey how can I send you guys a patch from from my dept?
9195 E Mineral Ave, Centennial, CO 80112 - attn: PIO
Don .Titzler thank you ver much!
What's southmetro ops 7 on pulse point Eric
I do not think that there is an SMOPS7 unit, but there is MCOPS7 which stands for MetCom Ops 7 and is one of the many radio channels that South Metro units have access to so that they can talk to each other on. The MetCom Ops channels are used for operations at an incident that need a lot of talking so that they do not interrupt or get interrupted by other units on a different call.
Yes @CharileBerlack I would like
that
Hi all
Eric and Connor, we're getting closer to snow fall...I know it doesn't seem like it at the moment...how long before you start talking about people starting to winterize their homes and vehicles and the hazards that come with prepping for winter? Also, the proper ways of prepping chiminies and cars so as to not cause fires and accidents that can cause fatalities, injuries and property loss...Fire fighters and medics do an awesome job but prevention...rather proper preparation for hazardous conditions can help keep everyone safe both citizens and first responders. I look forward to your fall and winter prep blogs to help citizens keep themselves safe. Perhaps the vlog will save lives and property as well as keep first responders out of unnecessary dangers that always seem to accompany the change in seasons and the weather it brings!
...on a separate note...the helmet face on Connors helmet seems to be bigger than her face :-) is it really that big or does Conner really have a small face? Can we get a PIO helmet face that is in a better proportion to her face? No offense intended...it just looks odd, and a bit funny looking. Conner does a great job and was hoping she can get a helmet face that doesn't make her look small, shes a giant in everything else!
Off-topic but every time I hear Connor's name I think of my Nephew. Spelled the same way too, we recently lost him and his siblings in a custody battle with Kansas because of my sisters' past drug habits.
Your incident has been updated.....
