Spoke with Pakt about the sling, they said there aren't plans to sell this exact sling, but they may be working on a new design for sometime in the future! I'll be sure to keep everyone posted. What's your favorite EDC item these days? ⬇️
I love the simplicity of your edc and the small background stories for every item in the video. It shows that every item has a purpose in your everyday life and not just sitting there in your bag. You never fail to inspire others!
Yea for getting off the social media bandwagon! I abandoned Facebook ages ago. I mostly just use RUclips now because you can learn so many cool things on here.
For sure, I’ve been really happy with it! I find myself needing pliers, screwdrivers, and knives constantly when I’m working. It’s been so convenient to have a good multi tool on hand.
Nice to hear someone with a similar mindset! I love my tech but am just not ready to cross that barrier and you can’t beat the aesthetics of a regular watch.
Yeah it was a splurge of a purchase at the time. It definitely helps to know that it’s manufactured in Detroit and they pay really good wages to their staff. Quality has been excellent after all these years too.

Minimalism is a way of living to me , and it is important for upcoming times too , when people can fill life with memories and not mere objects . Always great to see ur videos mate :)
My EDC is a slim wallet with 3 cards and one bank note. Keys. AirPods. 256GB iPhone 8, 32GB Apple Watch SE. I have it all in a red & black theme. I am a huge music lover so have thousands of songs on my phone. I love my smart watch and have a couple hundred songs on there in case my phone battery runs out of juice while I am out.
I've just started using the pakt sling as well, been through bellroy, peak design and trakke slings, all excellent in their own way, but when the pakt backpack arrived it just seemed to make sense that I'd use that. The only thing I carry that is different from yours is a notebook and pencil, just much prefer analogue capture. Love the videos, keep on keeping on...
I love your mix of minimalism, technology, sustainability, and overall life style tips (like car-free living). And production quality is top notch. It’s like you made this channel just for me! Subscribed!!!
Aer has a sling that I purchased, but I always feel self conscious going out with something like that. Almost like I'm carrying a purse or something. I'm so used to having my backpack that the sling seems too small. But, I should probably get over it and try it out again. Get all the keys and junk out of my pockets.
I would have definitely been right there with you 5-10 years ago, but the sling bags have gotten so popular and common now I feel like the stigma has mostly gone away for me. Haters are gonna hate, gotta rock your sling if you want to haha.
Awesome content as usual! big thanks to you for sharing Josh. I use the Waterfield Sutter Sling for my EDC.... I live in Dubai and the hot weather here prevents me from carrying anything bigger than a sling and for the wallet I used to have the Craft and Lore Enfold Card Wallet made from the horween chromexcel leather but now I am trying the Bellroy Slim Sleeve Premium. It is a nice wallet especially that it fits well with my jeans pants.
Thanks for the support, your setup sounds great at well! I can definitely imagine you’d want a lightweight carry in all of that heat. Lucky enough to have mostly mild weather where I’m at in the US.
Sir, can you please tell me the name of your wallet? I have a few Shinola product myself but I cannot find that specific wallet on the website.. thanks - EDIT: nevermind, found it thanks to your link. thanks again
Hello , just discovered your channel...subscribed and hooked. I really do enjoy your ideas and thoughts on everything about everyday living . Thanks for helping us figure it out. 🇺🇸🤙🏻🅰️
Great video! I’ve been watching your videos for the past couple days, how’s the Pakt backpack treating you? I’m looking at either getting either the backpack or the One.
Thanks so much! The backpack and duffel are both awesome, but I definitely favor the backpack for my usual travel. Just easier to carry everything on my back instead of in hand.
Good video, I'm really into edc, and if I could recommend looking into a main knife to go with your Leatherman, look into a Benchmade bugout or mini bugout, super Light weight and funtional, Benchmade customer service is top notch. Also not for everybody i guess but I'd recommend a proprietary light weight flashlight, like a rechargeable olight slr1 baton or even cheap a single aaa streamlight microstream to keep in your bag.
I’m a handkerchief user as well & like you correctly pointed out, it’s a better experience blowing your nose on cloth. I would love to know where you got yours from, they look really soft.
It was several years ago, I honestly can’t remember where I got them. I think it might have been Kohl’s or JCPenney or something like that? One of those types of department stores.
Great video, but a wallet less world is truly scary. Don't know exactly how you meant that, but when currency is gone, good luck. Big Government will always equate to small people. At any rate, the Squirt is awesome and I bought a Shinola leather watch strap a few months back. I mostly wear my GShock Mudman, but have a few nice automatics which I really dig using quality leather straps with. I know Detroit well, but am actually from Cleveland. Nice video and keep up the good work...
I meant more digital payments over physical cash, definitely not a ‘no money’ sort of system or anything like that. Love that squirt too since I picked it up, I’ll definitely check out that watch!
Just turned 3 last month, he’s doing great! He was in this video for a quick second and some of the others from time to time, maybe sometime I’ll do a whole video of just him haha.
I can appreciate the concern, but I feel like the chances of someone slicing the sling bag off of me are probably similar to a regular pickpocket if it was still on my person, or someone just robbing me at knifepoint. Probably not ideal, but there aren’t many convenient options that are. The many joys of city living, haha.
@@joshfenn because this is America or we have the freedom to have to conceal to open carry even in some states I live in the state personally wear there's things like mountain lions or you never know Riot protest personal protection I live in a town where if I call 911 they don't even answer the phone when it takes police 15 minutes to respond and you have a man with a machete in your face and I could mean the difference of you returning home to your wife or husband and or children don't you want to return home
Sounds like you live in an incredibly dangerous area of the country between the mountain lions and the machete men. Luckily I don’t really encounter those situations literally ever so I don’t have any benefit to carrying a gun. You do you though, glad it’s been a wise choice for you.
seems like a dumb idea especially when you get like a Glock 43 something subcompact that would not even affect your daily routine the problem is a lot of people are no longer fighting for our rights to own guns as it says in the Second Amendment we have the right to own guns and train and have a militia to protect against a tyrannical government maybe a government that raises property taxes to an outrageous rate because we the people should be as well or better armed than the government that is trying to control us just saying something to think about
@@joshfenn Better to have a self defense weapon and not need it than need it and not have it. Furthermore, that tiny knife on the multitool is not a self defense weapon. If you do not want to carry a proper knife get some pepper spray.
A wallet freeworld.........Care to explain how that's gonna work? No ID, no currency, no banking card, no condoms. You're perfect world is gonna cost the last 10 people gainfully employed in your hometown wallet company their job.
Contactless payments are pretty prominent in many parts of the world already, further expansion is a matter of when, not if or how. The company mainly make watches and bikes actually, the wallets are just a small accessory in their stores so I think they’re safe. Also, make sure not to actually keep condoms in your wallet, you don’t want to compromise the effectiveness and have an accidental pregnancy on your hands. 👍
