I hear nothing but the same story from people here if there is a job opening, hundreds of resumes. The true unemployment numbers are being hidden. If you don't have an inside connection to get a job, forget it they will not hire new people off the streets. Even the fast food places won't hire you because they only hire immigrants who are forced to live in corporate housing and pay huge rent or they are fired and sent back to the Philippines. One house has 12 immigrants, and the fast food owner has three multimillion-dollar homes.

Problem is you have people like me that build houses for a living and it's getting real depressing building something you can't afford, so how many of us will continue to do what we do if we cannot afford to build one are selves. There's already a huge shortage in the trades and it will continue to get worse driving the cost even higher. A company pays 1 million to its 20 employees (50k each) per year. The employees tell the government to tax the rich. The government listens and raises taxes. The company needs to make up for the extra taxes, so it fires 5 people to compensate. The result: The government got richer by taxing more, so the Prime Minister gets a new vacation. The company breaks even. The 15 people left in the company have to do the work of 20 people, so they are overworked and unhappy. The 5 that got fired are now unemployed and even more unhappy. Taxing the rich never gave money to the poor, it just gave the top clown an extra vacation at your expense. Period.

Love the idea of a Tax Reform Task Force WITHOUT any Lobbyists. Just hard working Canadians who know exactly what needs to be done in order to save this country. I think it is a fantastic idea, and one that will garner a ton of support from the people, or at least I certain think it will.

I can tell you as a small business owner and one that own a lake lot and sold it Plus a buying a place for my children to stay while in University I payed more than my share of capital gains And what really piss me off I can guarantee that none of it stayed in Alberta where it was made and paid for

A few months ago I purchased a 20kg bag of split peas because it had the "Grown in Canada" stamp on it. Got it home and did a little research on it. Discovered that the peas grown in Canada were shipped to the USA where they were cleaned, processed, bagged, and shipped back to Canada.
Almost purchased a dog bed because of the Canadian Flag on it. This individual had an idea and employed a Chinese company to produce a prototype manufacture them, put the label "Made for Canada" on, and sell through Walmart Canada. He only had an "IDEA."
To earn the Canadian flag on the label, Ontario wine has to be composed of no less than 51% Ontario grapes. In BC, one grape will suffice.
Another warning to watch out for is "Packaged in Canada," which will also grant the use of the "Canadian" label.
We are losing businesses left, right, and centre and lulled into a false sense of accomplishment plus purchasing under the false impression that we are truly supporting Canada, because of lousy legislation on what qualifies as Canadian products.
A friend worked in the same factory since he was a teenager for over 40+ years while invested in extra rental property.
He even took in people into his own home that had no place to go at no charge while his wife had developed severe mental problems .
These are the type of people Trudeau is going after.

In 9 years Trudeau has not balanced the budget. I believe he never will because he can not stop spending. In trying to solve problems Trudeau makes impressive claims.
One claim he made is to plant 2 BILLION trees. So far he has only planted about 8 MILLION.
Another claim he made is to build 500 000 homes each year. Well so far only about 220 000 homes will be built this year.
Trudeau always has big plans but gets so little done at great expense.
I believe that for as long as Trudeau is prime minister he will always be raising our taxes because he is driving up the deficit so much. He needs lots of money to pay for his failed grand plans. As well Trudeau has wasted millions and millions of dollars. There have been too many scams in his government.

Mr Polliverre is 100 % speaking of the reality of Canadians. The Trudeau government has spent the average Canadian into or near poverty. Meanwhile those of us who survived quite well on below poverty income are litterally malnourished and living on the street.
Income tax is so high cashing in on retirement savings will not bring many of us up out of poverty. Discrimination against Canadians living in their automobiles is inhumane for the most part. There are likely sime who make the choice to live in a vehicle to save money. I know many, many people living in vehicles. I can say with honesty that most are doing so not to save money but to survive. We learn we don't need much more than a resonably warm, dry place to eat and rest. Driving around and around for no useful purpose other than to stay hidden, out of sight and out of mind of the folks who discriminate against the working poor or the retired/dusabled is not only exhausting, it is also: costly in terms of fuel, wear on every moving component on the vehicle, adds absolutely nothing to quality of life, is unessesary traffic, emmisions into the atmosphere, it is stressful beyound the imagination. Telling Grandma ir Great Grandpa to go park in the designated homeless encampment is far worse than degrading it is totally inhuman.
I have only been as close as the side walk beside a fenced in cage type homeless encampment. The sidewalk next to it screamed a warning of filth, infestation, human waste as well as crimes beyound my threshold to safely imagine. I litterally walked away in tears, knowing that governments cages impoverished and mentally ill, drug addicts and Grama and Grandpa in filthy disgusting cages in Canadian cities.
