Bro has been prime minister for 8 years and is still blaming the former administration for their problems. After 8 years an American president just dips, maybe Canada should have some term limits.

I mean sometimes it is the fault of predecessors and could take a leader in a democracy decades or even a lifetime to change those things. A dictator can work much faster. But I do agree that he should blame who or whatever is to blame for not rectifying the mistakes made in the past right now. It’s easy and simplistic to blame something on your predecessor. It reaches the voters easier. It’s all a theatre basically, overly simplified dialogue to play the voter.

Instead of always trying to blame the past why not do something about it? People tend to hang onto all the past and use blame to make a point......let it go, move forward and get off the high horse and make canada better, making it great will be a tough nut to crack considering the last 8 years!

Yes, I wish that too!!! Because the biggest thief in the country where I live, which is Brazil, the current president (Lula) was elected with the help of the Brazilian Supreme Court of Justice and the old traditional press. He was arrested, sentenced in three courts by more than 11 judges for corruption. And then, his judges friends at the Supreme Court released him, it's like a mafia. Until now the Brazilian people don't understand how he won this election, he can't go out on the street because mostly people cursed him.

I will add that I am not 100% convinced about Mr. Poilievre because every politician that is not in the place of power offers salvation. But Trudeau does not seem to have a practical solution for the issue of affordability in this country. He also has done numerous things to undermine trust in his decision-making at this point.
It has been a hard road for any government, particularly through COVID, so I don’t think he deserves blame for everything. I do still think it is time for a change.

If you want an economy to move... you have to incentivize the money to move. Poor people save money rich people spend it if you force them to invest it or lose it (inflation does this naturally as if they leave their money sitting it diminishes in value). If you want poor people to be able to save money you have to have a healthy economy and right now nobody has that because we've failed to keep the money moving and competitive by allowing mergers with minimal scrutiny I can't remember the last time a merger was disallowed because it would reduce competition. Taxing the 1% is a distraction from the real problem of failed antitrust law. What should always matter to you is how much money you have and how good a value you get for your tax dollars... if you are getting bad value that is whee the buck should stop, not hey why isn't the 1%er helping pay for my bad value goverment services. The 1% already has a job to do with their money and that is to fund the economy... because after the point of becoming a millionaire, there isn't much different in quality of life between a milllion bucks and a billion. And note this all can and has been done without force.... with the right incentives an economy can flourish naturally rather than be destroyed from the inside like ours is now.

It's just a vague statement with no plan to actually achieve it and it proves that Trudeau is actually right when he says he has no solutions. The leader of the BQ said in an interview that Poillievre hasn't presented one piece of economic policy that he could support or oppose since becoming leader. I don't think Poillievre has even managed to pass a single bill that he sponsored in his entire 20 years as an MP.

What I have gathered from watching these snippets (and I could be very wrong because that is all I'm seeing is a small slice of these meetings) is that one side will ask why this is bad, or how is the Prime Minister going to fix this and the Prime Ministers answer is always some form of "We will do XY and Z for Canadians and we do XY and Z for Canadians. We will solve these problems", but I never hear him say an actual solution or how they are currently doing XY and Z. And isn't his job if he's been in office this long to already have solved it?
