Laugh as you want, but it's a reality that there are many people speaking with an Indian accent and there is a practical need to understand what they are talking about. It's educational and informative.
Both your Indian and British accents are perfect. I don't think many people outside India know that there are hundreds of languages actively spoken in India beside the officially recognized ones. India is the land of languages. Indians, although often made fun of for their English, have an excellent flair for picking up languages in a short time. They can actually learn and speak any international language the way it is spoken by its native speakers. However, not all Indians give importance to accent, especially to that of English as English pronunciation defies all logic.
The spelling is just inconsistent, and there’s so many sounds that you would rarely hear in other languages. Native english speakers also struggle with pronunciation in every foreign language unless they are bilingual.
Thank you for this, darling! In all seriousness though, as a British Indian, I truly hope and believe there will be a time when those who have ever mocked the BEAUTIFUL, PURE AND UNIQUE Indian accent will indeed suffer. So lucky to find this. I have a very close friend from India but I speak with her in Chinese because that's our common language. I am from NYC. When she speaks Mandarin I totally understand, but when she speaks English I'm totally lost. I will study your suggestions and try it on her. Can't wait. Thank you, you're brilliant.
I just love this video! I teach business English in Korea and a lot of ppl here need to communicate with Indian companies and one of their biggest struggle is to understand their accent. I've been looking for this type of video for my class but I was only able to find prank call videos :( Thanks, buddie! I'll definitely show this to my students.
The moment when you stopped speaking Indian accent and switched to your normal voice I had to stop the video to collect my jaw from the floor. I honestly thought this was how you really talked and I anticipated no snag. :)
I am an American who has sensory processing issues. Basically it means that I am disabled in how my brain interprets the sounds I hear. Often if there are multiple sounds going on at once, even if I can hear someone perfectly fine, my brain struggles to pick out the sounds that form the words they said. There are things that make this easier for me, like enunciated speech, subtitles on a recording, or hearing the speech in an otherwise silent environment. However, there are also things that make it more difficult, like use of slang or vernacular I am unfamiliar with, and accents that I do not hear in my day to day life. Looking up videos that break down an accent’s distinct characteristics help me when I’m trying to parse the words spoken by someone with that accent. Although this is probably not why you made this video, I do really appreciate it!
Hello Anpu. Thanks a lot for your excellent contribution to the Languages world! I have a student from India who is learning Spanish now but we communicate in English. Now that i saw your video, i kinda feel more identified when I hear the different sounds of English in your language! Thanks a lot!!!

Brilliant. I am teaching English in China and will use your video to get the students familiar with making different sounds and different intonations. Incidentally, it is because you use few airflow sounds in your native language that you speak English this way. You do this perfectly - and have a great sense of humor. Good luck and thank you.!
I could speak a Southern Indian accent. I learned by listening to Southern Indians (mainly my primary and secondary school teachers and classmates) back in the 80s when I was in Nigeria. Up to now I could still speak it.
Excellent linguistic support thank you, I am teaching english to a French lady entrepreneur who trade a lot with India and she is struggling with the accent which is fair enough so your support video is invaluable to break the earing into the accent as we would for any language learning Thanks!!!
This is very helpful for me. I have a student who is originally from India who is working on speaking with a more American accent primarily for work interaction, and in order to teach the American accent, I first have to understand how the Indian accent is made, particularly for certain letters and sounds. This gives me a lot of insight on how to approach instruction for this student. Thank you!! All your videos are very helpful!

So I searched out people speaking with an Indian accent and came upon you. This may help me understand him in a meeting we have in 10 minutes. I appreciate the effort you put into it.
Me: practicing this out loud
Mom: you studying a new language?

“I’m so sorry I cannot help you with your account Sir, let me get my manager from England..hold please”.
He's exaggerating it. You can tell he has a natural British accent. Pls don't make racist jokes.

Hello
Hello Anpu. Thanks a lot for your excellent contribution to the Languages world!
I have a student from India who is learning Spanish now but we communicate in English.
Now that i saw your video, i kinda feel more identified when I hear the different sounds of English in your language! Thanks a lot!!!
What I love about an Indian accent is the changes in intonation. It sounds so musical. Can't get my American tongue to make the rolled 'r' though.
This is great!! I need the accent for a game being an Indian medic, peaple laugh so hard when i talk Indian acccent while helping them survive thanks alot

Thank you so much. I´m from Germany and working in it-security and have to talk with Indians a lot. This helps me to understand them much better. GJ.
2:47,you can tell hes struggling on wich accent he should use lol
No its the indian accent
Brilliant. I am teaching English in China and will use your video to get the students familiar with making different sounds and different intonations. Incidentally, it is because you use few airflow sounds in your native language that you speak English this way. You do this perfectly - and have a great sense of humor. Good luck and thank you.!
I spent hours learning this just so I could say “thank you for calling Microsoft tech support”
I could speak a Southern Indian accent. I learned by listening to Southern Indians (mainly my primary and secondary school teachers and classmates) back in the 80s when I was in Nigeria. Up to now I could still speak it.
Im practicing this specific line
"Can you please write the nformation of your task manager?"
but if you want to say the word but, in the indian accent you say
*butd, butd, butd*
I'm indian, i dont know why im doing this..

Excellent linguistic support thank you, I am teaching english to a French lady entrepreneur who trade a lot with India and she is struggling with the accent which is fair enough so your support video is invaluable to break the earing into the accent as we would for any language learning Thanks!!!

I am much more confident to understand Indian English now.
Thank you so much, it helped a lot!😊
the moment he speaks London accent I was blown away
This is very helpful for me. I have a student who is originally from India who is working on speaking with a more American accent primarily for work interaction, and in order to teach the American accent, I first have to understand how the Indian accent is made, particularly for certain letters and sounds. This gives me a lot of insight on how to approach instruction for this student. Thank you!! All your videos are very helpful!
I’m Brazilian and I looooove India! 😍
Why ?
Me: watches video
Also me: hides caller id and calls friend acting like a scam
Anyone trying to learn the Indian accent with the help of this video, know that this isn't the general Indian accent, its more like that of south indian one.
Yes! 🙌🏼
There are many Indian students in my university so this video really helps me! Thanks so much!
mine too and i use the indian accent to tease the fuck out of them while they tease me with my "boston" accent lul
