hi
I'm an Indian and this literally helped me in learning British accent lol.
Brilliant😂
I want to embrace this accent because there are a lot of youtubers from these countries that teach new programming languages. So thank you.
♥♥♥♥
Me too bro 😆
A student of mine is having difficulties understanding his colleagues' Indian accents. I recommended that she should train her ear to listen to that particular accent by identifying its nuances and prosody. I also referenced your video. :P Keep making videos. And I definitely agree, nobody should be ashamed of their accents and identities.
I completely agree with you about the nuances. Thanks for the sharing my video!
This is interesting i think in this quarantine period ill learn accents instead of languages

Me too iam trying to learn spanish i start with colors like verde etc and it was hard so i learned indian accent for the memes

The malayalam accent is little bit different from the other accents of South India. Each area in India has different accents 😂
😂
Sathyam😂😌
Who cares? Its almost the same
South Indian Accents are different from North Indian Accents.
@@mayankdewli1010 No South Indian English accent is really different from north Indian. Y'all don't know how to pronounce z. Always call it ji. Jibra, jero
You seem to be doing a stereotypical accent from the south (no clue which state since I'm not from there)😅 I wish I was familiar with this accent before I went there for work
It's malayali accent english and not how all indians speak
@@reshmasharma5246 no...it is a tamil accent.
The malayalam accent is different
He is speaking Tamil accent
All south indian accents sound the same to me. And same with north Indians. They sound almost the same unless you speak in some bihari or bengali accent. North indian and south indian accents are not too dissimilar. The only accents which is really different is of people from north eastern states like nagaland, manipur etc
I love your Indian accent. We need another video, please. :) Love your smile as well.
Thank you! Haha okay I'm working on it :)
Love to hear indian accent east or west india 🇮🇳 is the best👍👍👌👌🙏🙏🥰🥰
Love how you could switch from Indian to a British accent. Cool man.
“Hello, do you have a computer?”
“Ok, so what you want to do is press on the windows key.”

“Ok, so now you press enter.”
“What do you see on your screen?”
“Now type in run.”
“Thank you for letting me hack your computer.”
Best Indian channel ever
Your normal British accent it wonderful bro give us a tutorial on how to speak like that
Thank you for the video! It’s fun for me as an American to hear both your British accent and Indian, as I’m on a bit of an accent learning bend :) for instance, my American accent pronounces “phone” differently than either of the two examples. Keep up the great work!
Watching this part 2 made me realize when learning Indian accent, the world should be hard while for English accent it's soft,
This video is not about Indian accent, It is Tamil accent.
Where only a particular state of India speaks like this
You're a genius! You just made me pass my phonology exam! Thank you
thanks. Part of me hates that I'm "doing" an accent from a language I do not speak. The other part just wants to play the role well. Is it awful that I love listening to your Indian accent, as well as that of former classmates from different parts of India? Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely comment, Sally! It's not awful at all, actually, it's what my videos are all about - learning to love your identity and who you are. No one should be ashamed of their accent (and background).
❤❤❤❤❤
@@AnpuLondon your 'accent' isn't accurate at all though. have you ever travelled through india? there are many different accents
@@isildurrr345 Obviously all accents vary by region. Not all British people, American people, Mexican people, etc. sound the same. Like many RUclips accent coaches, he's just going with the one most well known.
When i moved to the US i just took on the US identity and my accent naturally became american. I felt no incongruence. In fact my US friends wouldn't believe that i was from India.
Also, accents in india are different based on the region. I think to really feel authentic you'd need to understand or speak the native language a bit so you can tell how the indian english sounds "natural" for indian ears.
I love Indian accent!😍💞
#from the Philippines.
Hey, well this is specifically South Indian accent and used by tamil (telugu) people in India. Not all Indians use this.
O is pronounced as O not A.
But your video is really nice and fun. 🙃
What do you mean by "tamil (telugu)"? They are two different languages. It is like, an accent is used by gujrati (bengali) people.
@@normalohio8421 may be so, but I observed this kind of accent mostly from south Indian people.
So what these languages are different, their English accent are mostly same. And I was referring to their English accent not their mother tongue.
@@yugalkishore3154 no
The tamil english accent and telugu english accents are different.
@@sojanvargheese7849 Okay Okay. You, being a south Indian, can easily differentiate but for me(general people), it seems same, south Indian accent. Now we've come this far so can you tell me the accent he's using in this video is close to which one, tamil or telugu accent? As you know better than me.
i recently joined an indian call center, and this video helped me a lot, i changed my name to mark and became a manager after a short while. ty so much

@Amy Goerge I have been, and I have a lot of north, south, east indian friends sooo
Can you please make a video of how britishers will speak hindi or any indian language in their accent and compare with normal indian person speaking hindi . Period
Thats the typical south Indian accent. Indians have different accent in northern or other parts of india. :) Infact, each state will have its own accent here..

Hi, just wanted to say thanks for making these videos - I am an English teacher for Colombian students, and they are IT guys who have to interact with Indian coworkers via Hangouts. They can't understand the accent, and it's been hard for me to quantify the different aspects of the Indian accent - these videos are making my job easier! Thanks

Very helpful, thxx 😊
You're welcome :)
Who are the Indian peeps seeing how many foreign peeps want to learn Indian accent.
Ngl its kind of a south Indian accent. the accent in the north is slightly different. It varies from place to place as there are many different languages and there are certain pronunciations in there languages which they speak automatically when they speak in English. So like it different when a British speaks in Hindi in the same way Indians sound different in English and for some reason it sounds funny. So please don't judge someone on the basis on there accent
I need understand this accent. thanks for your tips dude.

I have to work with your people, so I'm learning a little bit about your pronunciation.
british and indian accent is something you cant hear clearly without subtitles...
You're so talented ...... Wow !?
Hi Anpu! Thank you for all these informative videos on the Indian accent! I am a linguistics professor, and I'm always curious about different varieties of English, and specifically as they are explained by native speakers of these varieties, such as you. I see that you have mostly pronunciation focused videos, but do you have any videos on the different grammatical aspects/features of Indian English? Or if not, do you know of any good videos prepared by others on RUclips, that is suitable to share in class as a teaching tool (i.e. not one that mocks Indian English)? Thanks in advance!
