I am confused as to why youre already in a career level job and still need school? Is there a super EMT role that requires another degree?

I’m an EMT as well. So above EMT-B’s are Advanced EMT’s, then Paramedics. You have to go to extra school for both. You can make a career out of it but more of us do this during college to then become doctors or nurses. EMT pay isn’t all that amazing which is why we start to seek other options as we get older. Not to mention the back and knee problems from all the lifting, fatigue from all of our shifts and calls, etc. Eventually it’s nice to just slow down.
