How bright are the taillights compared to stock? It seems a bit less bright that stock, it would have been nice to have a side by side comparison. On the other hand any chance you want to sell your old lights?

It is pretty easy to install. I only had to use a wrench and my hands. For a beginner you can do it yourself

I did not disconnect the battery. All I did was shut off the car

Any error massages? I installed same taillights in my 2012 Boxster and start getting ‘check reverse lights’ error message although everything works fine.

No codes. It just plugs into the same wire harness the car comes with.

Sad to say, no one makes a 718 style for the 987.1. The 987.2 gen tail light is designed differently from the first gen so this specific one will not fit.
