They do sound a bit like Drain STH, too. But Drain wasn't grunge. They were years later. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Veruca Salt, Silverchair, BUSH, Alice in chains, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots... these were grunge. Of course, we just called it alternative rock back then. Grunge somehow became a subgenre of alt. rock.
I take that back. Drain STH is grunge. Man, it's been a long time since I've heard them.

This is great. Just discovered this band and I'm in the process of listening to their whole back-catalogue. Love a grunge track with female vocals; there's been a distinct lack ever since the '90s.
So, I arrived 6 years late to this comment, but let me suggest you to take a listen to 'Poppy - Flux', very 90s, grunge-y and female front woman, perfection!
I'm 58 and grew up with the music of the late 60's thru the 70's, 80's , 90's grunge .. I"M GLAD I FOUND WOLF ALICE
