When I delivered papers in 1951/52 it was a job for a teenage boy that was 7 days a week and paid about $30/month which at the time was not would have been about $0.25/hour and your parent had to haul you around early Sunday morning due to the size of the paper. I left that to go to work in a repair garage cleaning parts for $0.50/hour which I looked at as being a much better deal. Delivering papers is not the best job at any time and that guy was stand up for the job as well.

Yet in most first world countries you are still let go when applicable, without bond if it's justified. And just like in the states people can also be held until their trial if it's a major crime or if there's a reasonable flightrisk. Bond has nothing to do with "innocent until proven guilty". You can be this without having a bailbond (or taking the money from your account). In the majority of the world that is.

Yet in most first world countries you are still let go when applicable, without bond if it's justified. And just like in the states people can also be held until their trial if it's a major crime or if there's a reasonable flightrisk.
Bond has nothing to do with "innocent until proven guilty". You can be this without having a bailbond (or taking the money from your account). In the majority of the world that is.
