Awesome product! It's been a few weeks I'm shopping for a remote starter for my 2009 Acura Tsx. Winters are rather harsh here in Quebec and I got jealous of my Gf starting her kia before going to work in the morning. I'll stop shopping them on amazon and go have a look on your website, wow!
I just had BESTBUY install a remote start on my 13 Acadia then they sold me alarm add on then they sold me a better remote Pro 901. So I got two remote but only one works now they said I would have to buy an other remote. Not to sure if it’s a compustar thing or a bestbuy but not so happy

@@Jufran84 that is not true, in the US there’s two versions. If you buy the t13 version it comes with the R5 remote. If you specifically buy the R5 it comes with another R5 remote that’s it.
Few questions... -Will this bypass the newer toyota shut off when you unlock the door? - if you have a traditional turn key, does proximity work to unlock? -do you offer an option to convert ignition to push start for older cars?
Why does only one of my remotes work with proximity unlock? They both perform all other functions - the one just doesn’t proximity unlock. I’ve gone through the settings for setting the feature and also reprogrammed the remotes.
@@BenasaurusR3XI read another comment not too long ago from these guys saying they don't plan on using USBC because it doesn't offer a faster charging rate or any other benefits. Lame
Maybe I missed it but does this have an alarm as well or just a remote start? Additionally, do I still have to use the Toyota remote to activate the alarm?
What about if you have a physical traditional key still? If I add this, will it allow me to drive off without putting the key in? And if so, how do I turn the car off?
If your car uses a traditional key, you must insert the key into the ignition in order to drive away. Otherwise, when you press the brake pedal, the engine will shut down.
@@compustaronline I have a 1994 Chevy Silverado and a 2007 Chevy avalanche canvas unit and let’s say I buy the kit that comes with the two keys. Can I use one program to work for both vehicles?

I pressed once and held down the button to access the menu on the remote to turn on proximity unlock and the "Red Lock" symbol keeps flashing and then when I press once to try and change it, it flashes red really fast the chirps 3 times and exits menu. Also is it all remote based programming or is there something that needs to be turned on in the options of my CM7200
Yes, as long as you have a shock sensor installed. The PRO R5 supports 2-way alarm alerts, and if you have DroneMobile connected, you'll also get an alert on your phone.
It's crazy that most cars already have those features, and yet we all really need a good car alarm anti theft device. Not one mention on how the alarm works to stop theives who use all those nice features to steal your vehicle. Geeeez 😢
I do not recommend this key fob. For one, you can easily accidentally unlock and or start your car if this fob is in you pocket while sitting. Another reason I'm saying not to buy this product, my unlock within proximity works whenever it wants. And the last main reason is at this very moment. My keys are sitting on my night stand untouched and my car has been starting on its on since 3pm this afternoon. It is now 156 am. I'm super pissed! Can't wait to go to the shop in the morning.
I'm here now. Great customer service so far. Without hesitation they told me their going to replace it with a brand new one. I'll keep you guys posted. I can say I couldn't find anyone with this issue. It could be a rare mishap.

On the PRO R5 Box it clearly states that the remote is waterproof.
Any upcoming plans to update the R5's charging cable/port to USB-C?
Was just thinking this. By 2020, USB-C was pretty standard for many devices. I probably, maybe, have one micro usb cable somewhere.

We recommend contacting your installer. They will be able to walk you through or have the tools to help you diagnose this issue.

Yes, our systems work with standard keys. You can use our dealer locator to find a Compustar dealer to do the installation.

Can't buy the remote with out the LTE for those us that already have it and using micro usb in 2020. You almost had it compustar, so close.
