Coach Johnson would’ve cut or trade many. Most fans of today’s Cowboys think this team is really good but just like you mentioned when it matters they’re weak. Jerry may have struck out with high priced big named free agents but atleast he tried.. now they make no attempt to make the team better it seems.. it’s washed up beat down late 30s defensive lineman for vet minimum.. now everything is about vet minimum, it’s like they know they won’t win the big game so why spend money 💰
@@shariffwilliams326 you make another well point but regardless of how they turn out this season what I do like is they have youth on that offensive line now. Since the end of the 2016 season the line has deteriorated which hurt the running game and somewhat the passing. Getting 1 to 3 yards on 1st forced Prescott to throw more each season. He’s been looking a lot like John Elway to carry the team. Zack Martin gets respect bc of his all pro status but he’s starting to miss games like long overdue to be released like Tyrone Smith. Maybe those 3 can bring back some stability like we had with Demarco Murray and Zeke’s first season.

Hey Dallas!! Steelers fan here. I have some good news and some bad news, depending on how you look at it. I don’t think Najee Harris is very happy and wants a new contract. The Steelers declined his extension! He looks good and lost at least 15 lbs. this offseason. I love the guy but I can’t stand Tomlin!! He’s rushed for more than a thousand yards since he was a rookie. Id hate to see him go but he deserves credit for what he’s done! Tell me what you ladies and gentlemen think, should he sign a contract with Dallas?
The Cowboys don't sign FA's who are looking to get paid their market value. If Harris is willing to play for peanuts which I doubt, there's no way Dallas would sign him.

As much as I love my Cowboys, and yes I'm a life long fan, you have to understand If Jerry is involved in the team culture, they won't go past the Divisional round. You may ask why? The answer is, if the 'Boys make the playoffs they stay relevant, and that is all Jerry is looking for to build the brand. #53brands makes a bit of sense, but #Jerrymakingmoney makes the most sense. So I have accepted that until Jerry sells, or passes on, the Cowboys are a good playoff making team. Though they are nothing more than that.

Regular season: good record. Playoff bad record. Confused? Not if you look at who they're playing The cowboys have a good record despite being an average team because their regular season competition sucks because the NFC east has been garbage for a few years and they make up the bulk of the teams played against with guaranteed 5 wins vs commanders and giants and split vs eagles. So 5-1 then 11 more games. Of those let's say 5 on average against below 0.500 teams they win all 5 so now cowboys are 10-1, now of the 6 more games against good above 0.500 teams they win only 2. So 2-4 against above average teams to bring them to 12-5. Sounds about right. Come playoff time the opponents are above 0.500 and the average Cowboys team get beat. It's not complicated or mysterious to anyone who wants to look. So there is your answer

Being slow off the snap has nothing to do with reps. He is slow off the snap. He was like that in college. He is a first round pick. As a 1st round pick you are expected to produce . Example would be jalen Carter from Philly. The guy can play. Mazi Smith is not very good. Luke schoonmaker is not very good. You can see talent and players who are good and ones who are not. You should go back and watch how slow he is off the ball in college. Please don't talk smack about somebody's knowledge when you may or may not know as much. You think Mazi Smith will improve. I believe he is not good and will be a 1st round bust. After this season we will see who was right and who was wrong.

Mazi Smith is not very good. A 1st round draft pick should not struggle this much. He is so slow off the snap and he is easily moved. Not to mention he is hurt and has not practiced and has not put his weight back on and has not gotten stronger. That 2023 draft is terrible.

They made him lose weight, so he will be moved easily. And he has problems shedding blockers, which has a lot to do with strength and size. And the speed off the snap will get better with reps, he’s not slow like you say, his timing is off. And he has been putting the weight back on.
