Basing it on my recent experience with FarCry6 , the AI will be absolutely broken and dumber than the most basic enemy npc 20 years ago. All that said I can’t wait to buy the game 6 months after the release on a -80% sale.

yeah ubisoft and ai, man, they havent had good ai since wildlands, even the newer assassin's creed games are dumber than a Dodo bird....
And as a added benefit, most bugs will be fixed at that point.

Kinda depends. They’ve had some unique titles like the recent Prince of Persia game or that Greek mythology game with the terribly forgettable name that I’m currently forgetting.

Good on Jack for getting the bag, but the fact that Ubisoft is paying people to just talk about the game without actually providing anything new and fresh but a sub-3 minute story trailer is a pretty bad sign IMO.
Plus, not a Jedi, not a sith, no lightsabers… boring. I think I speak for everyone when I say what we want from a Star Wars rpg is the ability to choose what path we will walk light or dark. Sure it would be cool to be able to just completely not be a Jedi or sith if you choose to and just be a bounty hunter or even a storm trooper but ultimately we just want kotor with modern graphics and live action combat🤷♂️

Already know where this is going like all Star Wars media. You start as a "outlaw bad guy" and eventually you will join the rebels and fight the empire as a good little girl that you are.
for once I would love to see a game like Tie-Fighter Where you start out as playing for the bad guys and you stay playing as the bad guys at the end

Same, no preorder from me. I haven't preordered a triple A game in a while aside from Dragons Dogma 2 because I loved the first from 2012. I'll wait for reviews from multiple channels. I don't want to waste my money.
@hannes0000 it was, very much a Bethesda game. But I did like it and still yet to finish it. 100% a let down though, but it did bring some enjoyment in places

I've been burned far too many times. I'm hopeful that it'll be a good game because the concept for it sounds great but man I have lost any and all faith in Ubisoft over the last 5 to 7 years.
I can already see the map icons, the collectables, the towers/beacons, the questline, and microtransactions menu in my head

maybe there won't be any map restriction, or at least "untraditional" fun way of opening new section of map
and all those things I mention aren't always something bad, but it's just getting old and Ubisoft sometime execute it poorly/too over the top

Same but you know simply because its ubisoft and the fact it is going to be an AAA game people are gonna hate it so much. These days it seems like indie games are in and AAA games are out which i completely and whole heartedly disagree with. The nitpicking of AAA games has gotten seriously out of hand these days.

@@FcoEnriquePerez Its the team behind division and division 2, its going to be mediocre at WORST and a masterpiece at best. They have a good track record of not making flops. Just becuase UBI is the publisher doesn't mean everything they publish is bad.
@@xSintex Ya facts! Im somewhat optimistic for that reason. I actually enjoyed the division serious quite a bit! However I am a bit worried due to UBI and just the general lazy corporatized open world games they tend to develop and or publish. I just hope its not a 80 hour snooze fest crammed with a bunch of mindless busy work like the new avatar or recent assassin creed games. I cant stand spending $70 on a game just for it to feel like a chore to complete it.
Just wait for the next SW game that features a male protagonist, and problem solved!

It’s a Ubisoft game. It will have their signature blueprint, go here, open map more up, go there, more missions. Most Ubi games are pretty well optimized at launch as well so I think if expectations are tempered it will be a good game. They did well with Avatar.

@blakkelure he could be, but the fact that Ubisoft constantly feels the need to sponsor content like this everytime there's a release, and it ends up being just as mediocre as the rest of their recent catalog. That's the pertinent point.

Jack will be under that "we are nothing without our reputation" if the game flops hard because he will start to lose people's trust and reliability for promoting a terrible game from an even more horrendous company.

Im never pre ordering a ubisoft game again cus i can already tell what kinda game this is without even looking at the game play. it will be a open world that feels big but is just filled with the same 4 or 5 activity's that mainly involve kill all the enemy's in this area or climbing towers. and it will feel needlessly grindy to try and encorage u to buy the xp booster in the microtransaction store.
Yep, wait for the discount 6+ months after release when patches start actually fixing the game.

I appreciate that this video cut between the new story trailer and the previous gameplay footage. In doing so, it really looks like they've made some downgrades. Maybe due to the performance of Avatar? Although, I had no issues and did the modification to push the graphics even further. Just looking at the characters, the gameplay footage from months ago features some cut scenes as well, but there's more depth to them- especially so in the lighting. I'm hoping for a decent game, that's where the bar is right now and I'll probably sub to Ubisoft+ to check it out at some point.

The only explanation I can see is that it’s not an imperial AT-ST but rather a modified one that one of the syndicates hijacked.

Let’s be honest, we were all hoping to have character customization for this long awaited type of game.
But it's made by Ubisoft. I do not trust any big studio with star wars. They want money first. But I'll watch.
I would definitely wait a year or two til it goes on sale. AAA games nowadays are not worth the full price especially if they have an expensive DLC/Season Pass announced before it’s released and the contents within.
It is not made by Ubisoft... ubisoft is the Publisher... not the developer...
The Snowdrop engine created by Massive Entertainment is absolutely fantastic graphics-wise. This game is going to be visually extremely pleasing for sure. I generally don't like Ubisoft though, but one has to remember that Massive Entertainment is just a Swedish studio that Ubisoft aquired - the quality from different studios may still vary. That said, we won't know if the gameplay and story will be good before the game is out.
What do you think you're doing here with a comment as reasonable as this. You should be predicting the failure of this game like all the other genius devs and game directors in the comment section. Seriously though I really hope it's good. It looks absolutely fantastic. I'm cautiously hopeful.

performance will no doubt plague this game at release. some of the sneeky stuff looks pretty fun, but the actual shooting looks really rough.

Outcast A New Beginning is worth a try. I’m enjoying it
Ubisoft has fumbled so many touchdown plays lately that I'm hesitant to get too excited about this title. Speaking as a huge fan of the Star Wars franchise, I want to believe this game will be an incredible experience but I know better than to place any unwarranted faith in Ubi to truly capitalize on a great opportunity like this. I'll keep my eyes on the progress, but until I see some reviews and gameplay on release I won't be spending a dime.

Though I doubt this will ever reach the potential of _Star Wars 1313_ or _Project Ragtag_ - _Massive_ are know for delivering decent-sized games with fairly-enjoyable 100-hour playthroughs. But its still a Ubisoft game, so... be on yer guard 😬

Everybody forgets that it's Massive thats making the game Ubisoft is the publisher. Massive has a good track record World in Conflict, The Division, The Division 2. Can't wait to play the game
The most bland looking Hannah Solo simualtor Ubisoft could've made
If there's one thing they can do right, it's the environments. Both The Division 1 and 2 had amazing location designs. They know how to set the scene and immerse the player in the game world. The engine also allows for good optimization so I'm hoping it will also play well. Im a bit skeptical though, because you can't really trust studios lately to release a game without having some sort of issues, be it bugs, glitches, poor optimization or lack of content. Not to mention in game purchases which have no place in a single player title, but Ubisoft seems to have a different opinion on that topic. I honestly hope it's a good game. I guess we'll see pretty soon.

If Ubisoft just re-skinned Assassin's Creed Black Flag, where we played as Star Wars era bounty hunters/mercenaries, I'd play the hell out of that game. Let me create my character, run around the WHOLE MAP doing pop-up quests, raiding bases, and hunting bounties, then when I'm done, finish the storyline.

It seems like most people are unaware that this is developed Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The fact that Ubisoft isnt the dev gives me some hope.
The problem here isn’t the development team. The problem is ubisoft economic backing. 90% of the time the game is unfinished. This, I believe, is because of higher ups in the company promising investors an impossible timeframe.
No skill tree? No looting? Weapon bench? Trading? Anything?
I feel like I have played "this" game already even tho is not out yet 🤔
