the AI behavior is very basic. They don't take cover or anything. Just stand still or walk towards. Always disappointing to see how little enemy AI has progressed from games like FEAR or even Halo
division 2s AI was pretty smart most of the time well both games and some pretty decent pathing.
Thinking back to like Rainbow Six Vegas the AI was miles better than this and that was 2007.
@@jakedenis4579dude the division 2 was an amazing game, getting sandwiched between two different enemy patrols with heavies while trying to get to the STARTING POINT of the mission you need to complete lol

In fairness this game has no release date, it's very much pre-alpha. There are MANY things that they will be adding, I would assume proper AI is one of them
Its pretty barebones, but still pre-alpha. I have high hopes for the devs to make it great, maybe even better than Tarkov. Because right now it has lot more polish and content than Tarkov had at the start.
Unless it has a great anti-cheat, it will have the same problems that Tarkov has and many online games do.
What it presents is very good, but it’s certainly missing something. There is definitely an emptiness about it.

@@strippinsits the bots i think, the AI in almost every tactical shooter just are never done correctly and it sucks the life out of the game. its cus the devs focus on the weapons and ballistics rather than the playability of the game. that is why ready or not is so successful because void focused on the gameplay rather than customising ur op like build a bear
@@Why477 the AI from a tactical basis certainly need improving. But i think a world like this would benefit from a sense that he AI are virtual players with their own motivation and have options for interaction other than just kill or be killed. Chat gpt meets FPS bot etc.

Because it requires too much mental focus to play and it's easy to die in fps games which causes anxiety while playing them so you watch a streamer because you know that the streamer won't die and you get to watch the fun gameplay.
I want this game to go well soooo badly. I had not heard of it, but all this footage has me salivating. If this was fleshed out, with unlockables, extraction gameplay, different types of missions, buildings and areas with fun exploration, this could be top tier.
Second Playtest and again just for streamers...
@@Eaez probably because there’s a lot of people out there that would play this build and not understand it’s early access. Then just bash the devs for no reason. I think it’s appropriate. They are using streamers to communicate that it’s early, and not to jump to conclusions so quickly.

@@branchflake yeah unfortunately but all the top streamers are more mature and understanding. Can’t speak for all of them. The game has nothing wrong with it except for what’s missing from it. And that’s obviously to come in the future.

Issue is the computational cost of doing picture in picture rendering. Hope it works well with lower- or even mid-end systems.

Game looks awesome. More of this please. Great watching you two play this. The "could of taken out of someone's internet" part made me laugh so much. ( I know Jack's internet was outed by a tree recently I believe it was)
Everyone hating or disregarding the game has to realize, this isn’t even early access yet, to be this put together and this functional before it even reaches early access is very promising. Obviously time will tell and we will see how efficiently and effectively they are able to roll out updates/fixes/features but for a play test this looks absolutely phenomenal. Take arma reforger for example, which I love, it hit early access in a MUCH more barebones rough state than this and it’s finally shaping up to be a great tactical shooter, this is already leaps ahead for how early it is. If you don’t like realistic tactical shooters then this was never gonna something you liked, but for fans of tarkov, insurgency, squad, arma, this game has all of us eagerly awaiting our chance to dive in with friends. And I know it’s a big ask but I really hope Microsoft takes notice and attempts to help these devs bring this over to console as well. Tactical shooter genre has so much untapped potential for console players, especially older players that don’t enjoy the speed of cod, Fortnite battlefield and apex or the sweat of siege. For whatever reason console devs seem to forget that we have always loved realistic tactical shooters especially with an emphasis on coop. Both rainbow six Vegas games and the graw games live on till this day with players doing coop t hunt and campaigns. This is just a larger step in the right direction from a those games and I’m hoping and praying for this game to succeed
Even just seeing all the stuff theyve fixed I saw from Tomos streams to this video is very cool and definitely gives promise to the game and the team.
The environments and the weapon models are absolutely beautiful. Definitely hope this game goes well

if they make the ai work and optimise the game, this could be a very good game, the ballistics simulation is absolutely crazy with all the ammunition variants and weapons.
I am really looking forward to this game. I am just concerned about sweats camping LZs and camping your factions base. I really hope they have something in place to combat that. Great video Jack!

Visually speaking the game looks amazing, gameplay looks fun also, a mux between arma and tarkov and dayz, I can't wait to try this!

I feel like it’s a good start. The atmosphere is undeniably good. Some parts of the map feel empty but the POIs look good. The factions are a good idea, that if flushed out and expanded on, could be a really cool element. For it being pre alpha it’s at a good spot. Definitely needs to be optimized better and maybe have specific gear for certain factions making it easier to tell each one apart. I’ve got in some situations where I’ve shot a friendly running towards me or coming out of some bushes because cus you can’t tell.
I didn’t even realise this video was an hour, I was so into the game 😮. Can’t wait for this to launch, really want to play it.

16:40 the bamboo thing is very real and true only one down side, it can only be done in grow season, then it really grows fast. example you see the bamboo come out of the ground, lets say it sticks out 0.5 (what ever your value is) the next day its 1.0, day after 1.2, and so on, really really grows fast. oh and if i'm not mistaken its one type of bamboo.
Damn this is one of those games that comes along and has so much promise that we can't help but hope it's amazing. Hopefully it just continues to improve.

Jack let Tomo know that Picatinny rail might fit the mosin to mount the scope. He was looking for a way to mount a scope the other day.

Would love to still see a coop/single player version of titles like this, a hardcore version of Ghost Recon.
If I remember right it can go up to 2 inches a day. We had bamboo in my backyard in Florida and you can easily see how much it had grown from the day before. Mythbusters also tested that bamboo torture myth in a torture myth special I think. They said it was plausible or confirmed I can’t remember which

Still have amazing hopes, feel like this is one of the few games if it gets well supported they will continue to grow and make it better. A.I isn't always the easiest thing to work with, especially in a huge open environment like this. However the work they put into the environment speaks a lot. I feel like they will grow nicely ❤
Helicopter pickup reminds me of the cycle frontier's spaceship extracts, not like tarkov where you just stand in a place

Cool walking simulator. I would crowd the village with mobs and action.
For context not that I'm some kind of expert but the "sight seeing" tour from the helicopter pilot are actually probably meant to be tactical maneuvers to avoid taking as much fire and to make it harder for an enemy to use anti aircraft capabilities. Again I'm not an expert but I know helicopter pilots in Vietnam flew in circles at times for those kind of reasons.

You won't need cheats. If your buddy is in a different faction than you, he can see on his map where all his faction members are and communicate that to you.

Those are great games but they have one thing. More time. 10+ years of time being updated and revised. This game isn’t about getting in cars, until and if they decide to make it about that. I doubt it and I think it should stay this way but we’ll see.
