- Duct tape corpsing is an easy way to get a tendony gooey effect for your corpses and super fast. I only had an hour of footage from this whole project (two hours of time just had interruptions). If you have a skeleton and a blowtorch then this is an amazing way to get organic details quickly

As Oliver Twist so eloquently said, “Please Sir, I want some more.”
you shall have it!
😆
OMFG you're my new fave!! I'm a "paper towel and liquid latex" kinda guy but I'm soooooooo giving this a shot!
I'll be up all night devouring your videos like a fat kid on a cupcake.
A cup of coffee and a stiltbeast corpse, what a way to start the day! Definitely would like to see where this goes... ☕
just dont paint your coffee and drink your corpse
I'm just happy you didn't test to see if the blow torch was hot with your hand
since I can see the flame, there is no need.
You're a freakin' magician. Just when I think the bag of tricks is empty, here comes another and another and another...lol. great technique...and yes, I definitely want to see the end game on this bad boy. As always, thank you for sharing 🙏. Great work!
Thank you! Cheers! I keep trying new things, and some of them even work.
So it's been two years since this one has been posted. I'm having a UV Halloween party. I want to do a green sludge toxic corpse prop (think corpse with green toxic sludge). Problem is, time is short. So, I'm thinking of using this technique with neon yellow / green duck tape. What are your thoughts on this? How would you achieve a toxic corpse on a time crunch? I don't want to sacrifice quality either. My fear is I use too much neon yellow duck tape and the project gets away from me. Perhaps I use mixed media. Some spray foam for guts, maybe some neon duck tape mixed with non UV? idk. Would love your input man. Thanks ahead of time.
@@603VILI hope this comment isn't too late for your party, but I think that would make a great idea if you are too worried about the neon I would layer another color either underneath or on top like a dark green that you could break up the neon with. Also don't forget paint is your friend as far as things go and layering can give you the depth you want. you can also repaint if theres a mistake, hope this helps 😊
@vixwolf2037 thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, my party was last weekend. I "winged" it and just did what came to mind naturally...which ended up being paint. If you want to see, I'm happy to post a link to my IG.
Yes please. I’d really like to see the rest of this build. I need to learn every technique you’re willing to teach.
then you are going to be here a while lol
I love rewatching these old videos. Especially getting close to haunt season...❤
Yes, yes, yes. I want to see the completed build.
Thanks again, Alan. As usual...great info for home haunters.
Im definitely doing it on a video, glad you liked it.
Would love to see the rest of the story. What about combining this with the plastic wrap corpsing?
soon!
Amazing again💀I have seen one other project and you are so talented. Will continue to watch, can’t wait to see more💀
Got to finally use this method... added plastic wrap corpsing on top of the duct tape corpsing... came out real nice... thanks for this tutorial i am a huge.. huge fan..
sweet! glad you tried it!
Our haunt group did a project using cat skeletons, which were cheap and didn't have any articulation in the joints. Our resident corpsing expert cut the skeleton apart at the joints and used a length of armature wire to connect the bones again, winding the wire around the ends of the cut bones. The wire was then wrapped with clear packing tape (which may be the same kind of vinyl tape you're using). The packing tape merged with the plastic corpsing and took the gel stain exactly the same way. The wire was completely hidden, and the skeletons are now poseable.
thats a great way to do it!
What you've got there is what we in the UK call 'parcel tape'. It's used to seal parcels for posting.
Definitely need to see the finished corpse! He looks great now, but really want to see him with some fur and other extras!!
its coming soon as Im able lol
I laughed when you said the duct tape corpsing would work on human skeleton. That is because people are nuts.
I went to a magic lecture I Palo Alto Ca., with engineers aplenty. The guest was the premier coin magician in the world. He would do a routine and explain it, normal lecture style. David, the lecturer, used half dollar and dollar coins. Occasionally an old English Penny, the size of a half dollar. Great material.
This guy would ask, after every routine "what coins would you use in Japan (hong Kong, Taipei, etc) and David would say"the same coins I have here". After being asked, literally, 12 times David was losing his mind. Not a difficult concept, like a skeleton is a skeleton.
Oh, the coup de grace was when a spectator challenged David on a fairly basic routine and pulled out a z xeroxed copy of a book and waved it at him and said "This is the bible of coin magic and HE doesn't agree with you ". David looks at him and said "I WROTE that book and YOU copying it is stealing from me!" Lecture ended and I was laughing my ass off.
nice. yeah people are nuts.
Thank you you posting all of your ideas and techniques. Spreading the creativity by having spook school with boy scout troops!. They turn their entire camp(Camp Miakonda) into a haunt every year. It was great seeing that the kids props and special effects make-up were more impressive than the local haunt that came in! So thanks again for the knowledge to mentor the youth!
Awesome! that sounds so cool!
Allen never ceases to amaze. Halloween can't come soon enough!
its on its way, ready or not!
Can’t wait to see how you finish this entire build!
Thank you! Happy Halloween!
Allen you’re funny. I love your sense of humor.
Thanks! thats very kind.
Hell yes I want to see the rest of the build! What a perfect prop for haunts, where everything is dimly lit and spending hours on “movie quality” effects is just wasted in the darkness where nobody can see the detail anyway. Firsthand experience here, it’s so frustrating to spend a ton of time on something to have it go unnoticed! This is bold and gets attention! 👍💀
yeah, definitely work for the conditions its going to be in, too frustrating other wise.
I'm so on board with anything that gives me a reason to use a blow torch!! Epic.
do it!
That's a neat idea, you can also create wounds that are very realistic with hot glue and paints.
good idea
I just recently saw a prop guy do the same thing with Saran wrap (plastic wrap). And after wrapping the skeleton, he took a heat gun and went over it and the plastic wrap sucked up to the skeleton real tight. Then he took some dark wood stain and went over that. It looked fantastic!! Like old decaying bones. Really neat. So I think these ideas are just awesome. Thanks!
❤️💜💚
thats plastic corpsing, did a video on that 10 years ago, almost industry standard now!
Dude your channel is good for the same reason the Sam the Cooking guy channel is great. Great results, made attainable with attainable materials.
thank you so much, I love what I do.
Well done. This technique is a game changer. Thank you sir and of course we wanna see the finished product
I will get back to him soon
Dude you're a bloody genuine. Please show us more!
sooon!
I have NEVER seen this technique.. It is so effective and cool. Very Very creative WOW... Love the tendons and sinews....BRILLIANT
I love your videos. I hope you made one showing the end result of this bad boy! I’m watching this video 2 years after you made it and it’s still phenomenal. 💀🖤
Would love to see the finished build. This technique is super cool. Love the results.
Coming soon!
I just found a skelton bat at the .99 store and some black duct tape. Figured I would try a small piece first. Can't wait to try this later tonight.
You can do it!
Yes, please. I would love to watch/learn on this series
I wanna see the whole process... very enjoyable to watch the prop come to life
Can’t wait to try it with the dog and cat skeletons from dollar general! Awesome work friend!
Have fun! Happy Halloween!
I just had a lot of success this season with similar method using plastic grocery bags and lawn and leaf trash bags as well .. I was able to use the heat gun with those and painted it up after
This is great. And yes I would love to see the video of the finished product. I’m very excited to try this technique.
Its a really fast way to corpse- just do it outside.
Nice Skin Job....tremendous simple idea...endless subjects/ variations...
Wow!! Amazing and so quick.
What a great project!
Please show further the hair and brain work.
Thank you!
soon as I get to it lol.
Allen is the deadpool of prop building. He plays by his own rules.
and I fight ninjas!
Wheuf, I could smell those hot tape fumes through the screen. My mother used to work for 3M's industrial tape and adhesives division. That smell can really linger in clothing.
Amazing work on the corpse by the way!
Thank you! Go Make Stuff!
I realized I'm late to this party but holy horror I'll be trying and using this technique this year 🤘
its a good one!
This is so cool! I would love to see the rest if the project
Sooooon!!!!
“Human skeleton escapes man in prop house.”
What a terrifying idea. I think I love it.
Me too! Happy Halloween!
@@StiltbeastStudios Thanks! Happy Halloween to you too!
Hey, is that a skeleton behind you?
love this technique, def gonna be doing this. Would love to see how you finish it out.
Coming soon!
Have you made the duct tape corpsing #2 video yet? This is so awesome! I’m thinking I might use this for my 12ft Home Depot skeleton from last year.
not yet, but its just some finishing- you can do it and thats a great way to go with the big guy!
Be careful not to torch the wiring and electrical components
In a nutshell: awesome. I think it has many other possible applications. I will try. Thank you, your advice is of great help.👍
Glad it was helpful!
Yes Mr. Hopps we would love to see a full video on this!!!!
soon!
I use painters real thin plastic sheets and cut into strips and wrap around each section and use the heat gun on high and it works great. I've even made wings for my corpse using the same technique. The duct tape is a new idea, thanks!
yup, thats plastic corpsing I have done several videos on it, the first one about 13 years ago. Its so fast! I will be doing a whole series on corpsing this haunt season.
Perfect! I'm going to try this technique next to my oily rag bin.
Fire bad! lol.
I found ur channel a year ago and man u impress me so much!!!would love to see an all dollar tree build... graveyard/props etc
Thank you! When possible, Dollar Store resources help keep things in budget- a graveyard is an awesome idea!
@@StiltbeastStudios hey thanks so much for the speedy response!!!I have been searching for a tutorial on how to make a human head out of a milk jug I have a hard maniquin head but after hours of searching and no luck I decided to give it a shot like the milk jug skulls ...I'm very impressed but quit a few lines through the face thinking maybe I can make her look old or decaying???I have a large tree stump in my yard do you think it would be possible to add pool noodles...heat gun to make a spooky tree or would the dead wood be to much of a mess?love ur channel ur such and amazing teacher I'm gonna look at some of ur masks videos for ideas how paint my head's
Love this. First time seeing your channel. Got yourself a subscriber.
This is new to me and I love it. Going to try this for Halloween 2022. But if you say this was a fast video just for this…I can’t wait to see your other videos and what you can do.
Awesome, thank you Brian! Hope you have a great Halloween season!
That looks totally AWESOME. I hope mine looks half as good.
they WILL!
teespring.com/stores/stiltbeast-studios Buy some merch!
Another great tutorial, allowed me to take an old broken skeleton and turn it into a course, only difference i used a mahogany paint only. Thanks agian
sweet!
Thanks for this easy technic and would love to see this prop finished.
Coming soon!
This was so amazing! Your videos are so inspiring! Glad I found your channel!
Thank you so much!!
Thank you because you make it so easy and understandable
This reminds me of one of the first videos of yours that I ever saw. You were using paint and cling wrap. This is a Really cool new take on the process!!
this way is a bit faster I think and yields different visual results.
@@StiltbeastStudios what I like about it is that it creates the perfect cavity for you to fill with whatever nastiness you can come up with. That would cut so much work time out of the build!
Hi, would love to see the rest of the build also the body for the dollar tree evil teddy bear and at some point an evil snowman with beach balls.
Sooooon!!!!
Great idea. I do the same with clear window covering for winterizing, from the Dollar Tree, and then painting. The only difference is, I can use a heat gun with the covering. But love this too!
this turns out really sturdy, one of the reasons I like it.
That looks so good, its crazy.
and easy!
Very creative! Throughly enjoy your videos!
Glad you like them! Thank you, and have a great Halloween!
Definitely would LOVE to see the rest of this.
you will, soon!
Very nice. I think I'll have time to do a couple of my skellys this year. Thanks.
Have fun! Happy Halloween!
What a great technique! Very realistic and effective! Excellent work, dude! 🤘
Thank you! Cheers!
This definitely changes the game from using the plastic wrap. Plastic does offer that look but sturdiness and quality not so much, it just feels cheap but with duct tape that changes everything with durability and better weatherproof protection, which it doesn't become brittle from time to time like plastic.
it is much studier!
Yes, I want to see the finished product. So many possibilities thank you
Im definitely doing it
I would love to see the rest. Thank you for your channel. I really appreciate you.
Wow! What an effective, quick technique! Another awesome DIY video! 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Definitely want to see the rest of the build
you will!
Nice job Allen, I am working on a corpse skeleton project right now. Just may try this technique. Your timing is impeccable.
this technique is a ton of fun and gives great results.
I have been following you for years and all of your uploads are excellent. But I have yet to make a prop that looks even decent let alone awesome like your props.
Clearly you are gifted.
Best wishes
You can do it! I have no doubt. dont forget I might have more practice.
@@StiltbeastStudios
You most definitely have far more experience than I.
You have vision that far exceeds my imagination and your application is quite simply top notch.
I love your works and I enjoy my feeble attempts.
Thank you for everything.
Best wishes 👍
“Make sure you do this outside!” (Reminds us multiple times)….proceeds to do the entire process inside his shop 😂 Great results though!!
do as I say, not as I do. a stiltbeast mantra!
The torch! That’s the key! I’ve been using duct tape but always it left lines, w just heat gun. Ty
Fire good!
YES, please show the complete project
sooon
Yes I would like to see the rest of this build . Please
soon
Great job bro let's see the finished product more videos 👍👍👍👍👍👍
What an excellent idea.. Man I love this channel..
Glad you enjoy it!
Love that Target gorilla skeleton !
Its really the best- but more of a chimp in my opinion.
Nice!! This is a game changer! I’ve got a small monkey to corpse and I’ll definitely be trying this out! And yes, I definitely want to see the rest of the build!!
admit it, you just want to use a torch
Did you ever post a video showing the rest of the build?
If so could you post a link?
This is so fascinating or have these videos been on my life?
right here, and more to come!
Let's see that finish product
soooon

Stiltbeast Studios the birthplace of the eyelid

That was morbidly awesome
To up the enjoyment, watch during dinner!
Yes please show the rest of this build
I will, its coming!
LOL I loved this video. And that technique is so cool! I have to try this, thanks for sharing!
easiest way there is!
SUPER VIDEO!! I usually grab the 3-4ft skeletons from Walgreens on clearance after Halloween. I have a few laying around that I can try out the technique for my yard cemetery.
Since you're corpsing, the 🧟♀️ 🐌 sound would be awesome in lieu of the Ffwd squeal.
I dont add the squeal, I just left it in the video lol
YES SIR..Would love to see it done!!!
I'm GOING to do one or two for my yard haunt!!..Thank you for the Great idea...Please keep up the great work..
This is a really fast and fun way to corpse in my opinion.
Can't wait to see the finished product
me too, Im excited
That's fantastic! I can't wait to see the finished product!
Thank you! Happy Halloween!
So simple yet so brilliant.
Glad you think so!
I would like to see the rest of this build. This is looking cool and has great potential
Im definitely doing it
