    Great results even if you thought you could do better with the afterthoughts, it is very effective. At first I thought you were sacrificing a skeleton for this. Great job having both. Symmetry isn't so important on a rotting corpse. They get droopy or out of symmetry. Good work.

    I did something similar to one of these skeletons. I used black pallet wrap plastic. I stained my skeleton with wood stain first, just to give it that rotted copse look. Me being me, I had to animated it with pneumatics and stick it in a wooden box. Like you, I bought the pallet wrap for another project. I used it to wrap a bunch of those 275 gallon IBCs for rain water. It was cheaper than painting them. It keeps the light out. That same wire I use in the spray foam arms like you made for those trees, way back when you had your neck surgery. I really like this technique too. Those air sacks they use in shipping would work to fill some space.

I was wondering if I made the legs out of locktite foam. Whats the best way to connect them to the body? Hey boss, i have a question if you happen to see this. If i was to use locktite foam on a Styrofoam head say like the kind you get at Sally's. Would you spray it with watter to help bond or no water as it may keep it from bonding? I am making a static witches head for a culdrean creep. Thanks in advanced!

      no water if you want it to stick, so none then you apply then you spray the top with water- then you wait five minutes before touching. have fun!!!

    Hi Mr./Mrs. Beast,
    I am making a One-eyed Willy Pirate. I have finished everything except sculpting the cycloptic skull abnormality under the eye patch. I bought a $30.00 Walmart skeleton, removed the initial black paint with acetone, and sanded it lightly with 000 steel wool. I bought some of the suggested spray Loctite foam for doors and windows, some white cement, hot glue and the heat gun you suggested I buy from Harbor Freight. This prop needs to go outside and it rains here a lot. Can you give me some advice please? I also have to corpse the fingers/hands. The fingers are round with fingernail detail on the tips and very dark.

      @@StiltbeastStudios The Loctite will stick to the plastic skeleton and not come out? Do I spray water first them foam? or spray water afterward and wait five minutes to touch it?

    Imagine my heartbreak when I discovered, in the midst of creating a hairy corpse, that I am allergic to wool. Any recommendations for wool alternatives? (Sure, I can do cotton but that’s so very boring.)

    • @StiltbeastStudios
      @StiltbeastStudios  10 месяцев назад

      the clothing was just weed block fabric from home depot- super cheap- the hair was wool roving- or you can use yarn that you take apart the same way- I get mine from the woolery.com

    The spray paint doesn’t eat the foam?

    • @StiltbeastStudios
      @StiltbeastStudios  10 месяцев назад

      not at all, very few foams react to spray paint- spray foams are all safe.
