I think that this incarnation of the band with Adam Pearson/Chris Starling/Mike Varjak was greatly underestimated, especially by the '84-85 and nothing else' cult
I would honestly credit Adam Pearson equally with Mr Eldritch for the band's image/aesthetic/approach/overall 'vibe' during those initial wilderness years. He seems to really 'get' something about Eldritch - nothing he wrote sounded like anything that the band had done before he joined, but there's not a note of it that doesn't feel Sisters-y. I think he's proof if proof were needed that the Sisters really is a band of collaborators, rather than an Eldritch masterplan supported by backing musicians. I'm very pleased by the Sisters who followed Adam Pearson, but I think he's a truly instrumental member of the band, and quite possibly responsible for keeping the band alive after recording stopped. The FALAA-or-bust crowd can bugger off.
@@TomNobody631 Too bad Pearson went off the deep end in recent years, his songs for the Sisters are really good. It's a shame that he was the road block to getting them recorded too
@@katakauchi I guess him being the roadblock for the songs being recorded back in the day is mostly hearesay, and conjecture, but nowadays Pearson is a grifter trying to sell some weird social media idea tied in with some weird religious concepts lol
