I have both the A1 and A9III; the low light is essentially the same between the two, but the base iso on the A9III is an annoyance sometimes if you like fast primes in sunny conditions
@@jamiesondean I find the Shadow recovery at ISO 125 is better than ISO 250. The shadow is much cleaner and looking at clothes or even faces when. Lifting that shadows.
How does the A9III perform in low light. Is its minimum ISO 250 a hindrance?

@jamiesondean you can use 125 iso just don't clip the highlights and you'll be fine.
@ not for video or if you use auto iso. ISO 125 is the same as 250 on the A9III anyways, as far as actual sensor sensitivity goes.
@jamiesondean ahh I use 125 all the time for photography and SLOG3 at 2000 iso with and ND Filter.
