GFX50r anyone?

If the rumors are true (as a Z50 owner), this will be very disappointing. I like to see the new Z50 mark II, have the following upgrade, IBIS, bigger battery (current battery really sucks), xpeed 7 processor, and at minimum a 24 megapixel sensor. Nikon, competitors Canon, Sony and Fujifilm, have lots better APSC cameras. So the real question is Nikon, getting out of the APSCl camera market?

Eye controlled AF was there in EOS 5 cameras....so it's not a new innovation. All are just making noise to sell their products.

This video lost my attention at around the 4 minute mark. None of the topic points actually matter in the field. I would be more concerned about auto focus if I was shooting stills. No one and I mean NO ONE cares about 240 at HD res. I have that option on my Monstro, and I never use it in a professional setting. With companies such as TOPAZ labs available as post 3rd party options, 240 HD is completely irrelevant at this point in time.

Thanks very much for a highly interesting video!!! 🙂 A three mm height reduction would bring it back to the 'original' M camera size. Many of us have been yearning for this since the M6 TTL.... "Buttons" on the film M was never really an option. A digital M would not need them if the screen was 'all touchable'. Hybrid VF - ? Yes, perhaps, as long as the "holy" *Messsucher* is not sacrificed. The "film rewind ISO button" has it's charm.... perhaps.. (also another 'attempted' "film advance look-alike, as per M10-D). In-body-stabilizer...? Well - on the M11, the shutter 'is open', but still a 'shutter' - and the original M curtains went out with M7, so-wie-so - But:How much should one 'water down' the M and it's 'required disiplin for real photography' - ? And - price: Ms were always expensive. Still..... ❤

What a silly video. Global shutter would be a step down as most buyers buy the FX3 for it's amazing low light performance and wide dynamic range. A global shutter would likely reduce low light sensitivity and dynamic range. Pass. No fan would be a huge negative, most people buy the FX3 over other Sony mirrorless specifically because it has an internal fan. There have been no credible leaks or rumors about an FX3 MKII, just wish lists. If Sony follows its own history, we won't see an FX3 MKII until 2026. We'll see a replacement for the FX9, then the FX6, then a replacement for the FX3. And there has been no credible rumors or leaks about an FX9 MKII or an FX6 MKII.

To me its just silly to make these sorts of comparison. Their lenses in terms of manufacturing and coatings differs as well. Regardless of which evosystem you choose, either one is great in its own right. For me, the Nikkor colour science is my preferred lens. For the Z8, there's no telling if Nikon will begin incorporate some RED features? Across the spectrum, Canon's prices for body and lens have shot up tremendously over the past 3 years

z8 has specs of z9, which was released in 2021. It's 3 years of technology advancement, so yes r5mk2 is better. Should you switch to Canon? it's up to you. When z9/z8 mk2 is released it will be better than r5mk2. I use z8 and I'm not going anywhere.

I was using Z8 for a year and now I use R5 MK2, Canon Eye AF is so much more reliable. Finally i don't have to check if photos are in focus

I want improved low light, low noise sensor performance! The R7 loses too much clarity and detail at ISO's greater than 3200. Give me great performance out to ISO 6400 and some minor compromise out to 8000 so I can use shutter speeds up to 1/1000 during concerts and during indoor sporting events in which you often need ISO's out to 8000 and you will have me in a NY minute. I also want auto ISO to be selectable to any ISO value, not just a max setting in one stop increments.
