You're missing a lot of context here. First, shooting stats in the 1996-97 season at the rim and among all distances is unreliable. FG % that year was 45.5%, and the average percentage at the rim was only 55%. Yet the next year, the first year that there are reliable stooting splits, average FG% was 45% but 63% at the rim. So you shouldn't compare current shooting percentages at the rim to a year where the stats are unreliable. A more fair comparison would be to the 1997-98 season, and yes, there's a significant jump (70% today vs 63% back then). But it's not because of lack of rim protection. In the 1998-99 season, arguably the NBA's worst offensive season, teams averaged 5 blocked shots per game, whereas today the average is 4.7 per game. The biggest issue is play style. First and foremost is the pace of the game. In the late 90s and early 2000's, the pace was around 90 possessions per game, whereas today the average pace is 99 possessions per game. That means more possessions to shoot, and being played at a higher pace, more fast break baskets which means easier shots at the rim. That's why offensive rating, which accounts for pace, is a more effective measurement of offensive efficiency than point per game. Today's Ortg of 114.4, which is a record high, is only 6 points higher than the 1994-95 season. For comparison, in the 1961-62 season when the league average was 118.8 points per game, the Ortg was only 93.6, which indicates that the higher pace made up for virtually all the difference in the high scoring of that era. The second difference is the three point shot. One area where players are definitely more skilled at is shooting 3s. Having a center or even a power forward in the 90s shooting 3s was almost unheard of at that time. Dirk Nowitski was the first of the modern stretch 4, a seven footer that could shoot from deep, and from then on more players at every position began shooting 3s. That leads to more points not only because 3 point shots are more efficient shots than midrange or long 2s, but with 4 or 5 players playing on the perimeter, it opens up driving lanes to the basket. In turn that forces shot blockers to play farther away from the perimeter, making it more difficult for them to get to the basket. This is what happened to the Jazz in the playoffs when they had Rudy Gobert. Teams like the Clippers played 5 out and negated Gobert's rim protection. The rules have had an effect, but it's a bit overhyped. After handchecking was banned in 2004, offensive rating increased by 3 points per game, and remained pretty constant until the 2015-16 season. So the rules account for a small increase during a 12 year span, but don't really account for the 8 point increase that we've seen over the last seven years that have had more or less the same rules. That's where the play style and having more 3 point shooters come into play.
And still we have nobody that comes close to Wilt. Remember that he AVERAGED 50.4 one season (despite Bill Russell slowing him down into the LOW 40s on average in THEIR 12 games!).
@@chrisuncleahmad789 probably because of the defensive teams during that era. At that time there were about 7-10 good to great defensive teams. And another 10 or so that were average to good.
Hard to stop an offensive player when he can carry and travel all over the damn place. And at the same time. Tweaking rules that make it harder to play defense. Adam Silver is destroying nba basketball....
The NBA is disrespecting the legacies of the older generation of players by changing some rules to make it a fast phased less defensive game and by doing so making old players look not great. Such blatant disrespect!
@@chandlerthebing3472 What do you mean by being on the edge of your seat? Me personally this is what makes the NFL much more interesting than the NBA It takes incredibly hard work and perseverence to score a touch down, no TD's are given for free.
It just gets frustrating when the media and current NBA players act like we don't have eyes and can't see the severe lack of defense and BS foul calls.
I'm glad younger hoop fans are actually starting to call this out. Carries, travels and illegal screens are making it too easy to score. High ppg are only spectacular when it's earned
I won't be shocked if Wembanyama averaged 30 points as a rookie since we already heard from guys like Giannis and Luka that it is easier to score in the NBA than in Europe
@Dynamic Zones without the handcheck isn't really harder to score against. It makes you take more long range shots but the league adjusted to that hence why it is the way it is today. The kicker and most important thing is that HARDLY ANY ZONE DEFENSE IS PLAYED.
Adam Silver is CONVINCED that more points equals more money. Maybe he is right; but maybe, he has not anticipated DIMINISHING RETURNS. It is only a matter of time before audiences get tired of offensive barrages and begin to long for BASKETBALL!
You can’t play defense when the guy you’re trying to guard is allowed to travel double dribble,carry..I would be a pro if these rules were around when I was prime.
Definitely the reason I stopped watching. I just check the box scores the next day to see who's the latest person to score 50. 😂 I'll still watch the playoffs tho.
Because they don't know basketball rules and are think basketball isn't fair if they don't have a ref call a foul if the can't fairy prance their way to a dunk. Real Basketball in how it was written up to be a sport and people who know the real rules know that the NBA doesn't follow any rules other than kiss the star players or refs butts or we throw u out for good.
Part of the travel issues is that up to 4 steps is now LEGAL under the 2009 revision to the travel + gather rules - so they're NOT travelling nearly as often than under the older "1 step, no such thing as a gather" rules that other levels of basketball STILL PLAY AT.
(From the UK) I watched NBA between 93-99, then had a 20 year hiatus from the sport then started watching it again. Took me a couple of years to get used to today's NBA, I thought where the Eff is the defense lol?!?!
Watch how players who don’t have the ball move and how the defense reacts to them. Offense is greater and defense just gets overshadowed by how good offense is now
@@craig2069 You respond to a lot of messages. I wish you knew what you were talking about. It's obvious you are only used to watching this new era of defence-less basketball, and trying to come up with reasons as to why it's superior to the past era. The NBA made a deal with the devil, the day they chose for LeBum to be the chosen one. His skills were sub-par compared to the previous chosen ones, and in order for their new messiah to be effective, they had to change the rules. Those rule changes have hurt the league. I refuse to watch any game where Lebum plays, I already know what I'm going to see... a punishment will be laid upon anyone guarding LeBum, an absurd amount of fouls that will disrupt the flow of the game, which it will make it painful to watch.
@@craig2069 Players that move when they don't have the ball has ALWAYS been a mark of good teams. Consider the 1985-1986 Celtics as a PRIME example - it was NOT just Bird doing that.
Even me as an ordinary person not even playing basketball that much, I can say that the defense today is abysmal at best, I miss the days when players would struggle to get a point out due to the tough defense.
with rules that NBA has today, Jordan would average 50 :) also many teams from 90ties in 4th quarter would have no players left on a court, everyone would have 6 fouls today :) if you put teams from today in the 90ties, they would not break 40 points, but also, teams from 90ties would score considerably higher, over 100 easily. you ask why only 40 points :) well because of turnovers, every second action travel or carry or illegal defense would be called :)
Bro I love your channel you seem to be the only one to understand. The way you were breaking down the points and comparing them nobody adds this much context 💯
JxmyHighroller, 2Raw4 Sports, and even Jonny Arnett has made videos on how bad these teams play no defense today and all the traveling that the NBA has been allowing which is why the scoring is at an all time high since the 60s. So Uncut Hoops is the 4th basketball channel talking about this!! There has already been 16 games where players have scored over 50 points or more for this season and the numbers will most likely keep going up because of how the NBA rules are today!! ANd I wouldn't surprised if someone breaks Kobe Byrant's 81 point game this season.
@@craig2069 Kobe had a rare "insanely hot" night, in addition to his usual "push the volume". One of the uncommon cases where he shot better than 50% from the floor (rather than his very common 60%+ BRICKS).
It's a combination of the change of rules/enforcement of rules and styles of play. Teams have realized that 3 pointers and shots at the rim are more valuable than mid range buckets so they prioritize getting quality looks from there which spreads the floor. That being said, I think there's some simple rule changes that would make it much easier to play defense and bring these offensive numbers that we're seeing back down to earth. Things like eliminate defensive three seconds, enforce carrying (or cupping/palming) of the ball violations, and take away the gather step. Being able to take three steps is such a huge and unnecessary advantage for the offensive player.
Then why is this load management stuff, have a holiday take 30 three point shots aan that’s what they have today crying for fouls from the logo bring back the old rules
@@jamoa3395 Too bad Adam Silver hates real basketball. He wants to celebrate stars, and push woke BS, because he things stars are the ONLY thing that brings fans in to watch the game.
Simply enforcing ball violations (traveling, carry, double dribble) as well as the off arm will expose a lot of these fake overhyped “superstars “ of today. Not to mention penalizing all the flopping.
If anything, it was harder for MJ and Kobe to put up 35 per game back in their time than it would be to score 40 now because of the quality of the defense and the rule changes that have been made to incentivize more and more offense since the mid 00s
NBA Commissioner needs to UNBAN Defense!!!! Bring back Hand-checking and get rid of the 3 second rule. I'm not saying to bring back Thug-Ball of the 90's, just to un-ban Defense. However, arguably much more impressive than all of that was during those 7 years, he only missed a grand total of 7 games!
Just to put some context here: Jordan led the league in total missed shots ever since the 1986-1987 season except for his 1995 return. *"DPOY"* Subjective fan voted media award, Hakeem averaged more blocks, defensive rebounds with better defensive rating and block percentage. *"missed a total of 7 games in those 7 years"* 930÷13= 71.53 games played per year with the Bulls. When did Hakeem come up key to block shot? or ran all the way from the key to the basket to get a rebound. So in your eyes, only centres should win the award. @@sugarnads Teams didn't 'let' him do anything and it was more a inditement of the fact that he had to score all those points to make the early Bulls at least competitive as most of the other guys on the team were not of a high enough standard (All Stars etc) to support him. But the point was simply that he didn't need the 3 ball like the players/teams live and die by now to score a lot of points and the fact that mid range scoring (which he mastered) is a lost art that could be exploited but is basically ignored makes no sense. We all know that 2s generally are easier to make than 3s because you are closer to the hoop (you do see a number of missed 3s these days are barely reaching the hoop) and if you miss both you are still no worse off, missing a more difficult 3 trying to match your opponent instead of scoring an easier 2 to keep the deficit more manageable (which likely would reduce the number of uncompetitive blow out games) seems a better strategy rather than continuing to jack up 3s with the hope that eventually you might start making them.

They really need to bring back defense. I know Silver said they focused on offense to put butts in seats butt has it worked? The best viewed playoffs and finals of this era is still worse than the least viewed finals from the Jordan era. Part of the reason that era was better was the rollercoaster ride on both sides of the court. Defense actually isn't bad, it's all the rules & officiating. Refs don't let defenders get within 6 feet of their matchup, how are defenders supposed to adequately defend when the rules cater so much to offense? There are still elite rim protectors in the league today. Gobert, JJJ, Rob Williams, Mobley, Adebayo, Embiid, etc. There's only so much they can do however with the officiating and the rules being as offensive heavy as it is
I think this is a great point but I would say on average players on defense aren’t as good. The elite rim protectors and perimeter defenders are elite but the average player isn’t as good as the average player before
@@PK5_144 I'd argue the average player is just as good, if not better than in years past, especially the elite ones. The average NBA player is better in general today than back then, but also players today have to cover a lot more ground on defense, and are also exposed to more complicated schemes and systems than in the past too. More fundamental basketball was played back in the day, which I think is easier to defend.
@@camctrail I respect your opinion but have to disagree. The offensive schemes are not more complicated at all. In part because of the way the game is officiated, players and coaches know that defense will not be rewarded. Consequently, they do not give the same effort as players from the past. Your list of "elite rim protectors" is kind of a joke, as even the guys you mention spend far more time out by the three point line than near to the rim. I think the best example I can provide of the poor defense being played in the NBA right now is the amount of switching that goes on. We see it constantly, and in every game- lazy bigs switching onto smalls, and vice-versa, leading to mismatches and resulting in easy buckets. Marks my words, come playoff time we'll start seeing players make the effort to fight over screens and play better defense.
Exactly! It's not that the players are BAD, it's that they're seriously HANDICAPPED by Adam Silver's "focus on scoring to the exclusion of REAL BASKETBALL". The NBA isn't nearly as bad as "Professional Wrestling", but it's heading that way and noticeably along on the transition.

Been saying this for year but people just call me a hater lol. I remember in the 9s as a kid how special it was to see a 100 point game. It wasn’t common. Nowadays you hardly ever see a game below 100. People keep saying “oh the players are just much better these days that’s why they score more”. Gimme a break, it’s cause there’s little to no defensive and everyone lobbing up threes.
I blame it on 3 things: 1) all the threes shot today, 2) increased pace of play, and 3) AAU basketball, which is all about showcasing the offensive skillsets of every individual player to help garner them exposure for college & NBA scouts. On-the-ball man defense is fast becoming a lost art. I can't even stand watching AAU ball. Couple that with today's emphasis on three pt shooting & the "threes or layups only" policies I would never
The fact that a player like Doncic can put up these ridiculous numbers says it all. Sometimes it looks like he's hardly even breaking a sweat, there's hardly any serious resistance on his offense. If the defense would be tougher, he'd still be good, but not putting up these ridiculous numbers.
Well, when you can physically abuse the defensive player by dropping your shoulder and knock on his ass like in the last clip. I would say his numbers make sense.
Good offense will always beat good defense, that's why the offense doesn't need all this extra help. Allow hand checking, force man to man defense, bring back illegal defense calls, start calling carries and traveling again.
I tried getting into the NBA but it seemed like the teams just took turns scoring points. There was no struggle, no intrigue, just you score then I score and whoever has a marginal lead at the end wins.
Feels like the no defense thing is because no one wants to get hurt at all whatsoever in any capacity so they just basically step aside and let everyone shoot the ball. I don't even know why the defense side tries to catch up on a fast break anymore. You ain't gonna do shit anyway really so why bother?

There is no defence these days. Oh how I miss the 80's and 90's. And don't get me start on the All Star game, a joke. Don't remember last time I watched it.
Shooting and making 3-pointers are so boring and easy. Especially after you master it. It’s just an entertaining aspect for the viewers. Then after shooting a 3, you’re too fatigued for defense. I’ve played basketball with Lithuanians and other Europeans, being from France… and it’s not easy to score then. But playing high school basketball in the States, everyone just shoots threes all of the time and didn’t care to really get back on defense. All of the foreign players noticed this, too hahaha.
To me the NBA today is a terrible product. Teams and players take 5 months off and then they show up for the playoffs, it's a joke . The regular season is meaningless, everybody plays 500 ball and then they hope that you can just show up for the playoffs and win a championship. 😂
Great video = thanks for doing the work and looking at past era's. For a great example of how the rules of the game have been changed and ignored see the "thinking basketball - evolution of scoring" video. One of the examples shows 4 violations of the offensive player on one possession and in today's game = no call and then a foul on the defender!!
He’s accomplished more than jordan did in his own era. Lebron came into the league having a horrible shot but got better. He’s 38 and is still one of the best offensive players
Just dont like the way the the league punishes defense now and lets everybody go to the hole anybody can score now thats why everybody has a 30 point a game now
The NBA has changed the rules in favor of the offense. enhanced hand checking, gather stupid steps, shooting 1 more 3 points in stead of grabbing rebounds.
No, REMOVED hand checks entirely - they're now fouls. 2 steps for travel not one AND ADDED the "gather" step or two gather steps depending on the situation. The 3's were a long time evolution, been going up almost every year for DECADES now - and finally passed the ABA 10-15 years back or so.
Once again great video Pointing out facts about how the current NBA Is full of fake numbers Easy points for players that would not score fifteen to twenty points in the '80s 90's or 2000 NBA season. I just know that if people take these numbers at face value that they're putting up it's like come on man are they just trying to create a Wayne Gretzky Out of thin air like Breaking Records was supposed to be earned not given?
So good to see a video done on this topic. I think there's a secret pact amongst players to enjoy the big dollars they're raking in without injuries. Is it just me or does it really feel like the last two years is a really win it feels like everyone just stopped playing defense? Don’t get me wrong I know that it’s not been as defensive for the three or four years before that but I’m really tired of hearing or reading comments like “these are the best players in the NBA has ever had look at all. The guys are having these 50 point games.” Yeah you drop the same guys anywhere in the 80s or 90s or 2000s their scoring 12 points. And to hear some stupid comments like Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant wouldn’t be as good today, are they serious? They were being mugged in averaging 30 points a game. In today’s game where no one’s coming within 10 feet of you they would be having 60 point games on a nightly basis.
I think its both. The 3 point line craze is another reason scoring is up. and that players today keep track of how their shooting the ball more then ever before. Also today player recover from injuries faster and have better training habits. It would be weird if scoring wasn't up. but they definitely could play more defensive.
A big reason more points are also being scored is because 3PT shooting is more prevalent than it has ever been(and players are far better shooters from 3 compared to previous eras), and the rules favor guys on offense.
I don’t think that’s a big reason but one of the reasons. The main reason is (Soft defense) and everything that comes with it. Kindergarten defense makes way for easier & more shots whether it’s from the perimeter or at the cup. = more points.
3 minutes into tonight’s Minn/Denver game 4 (10-7) 3 wide open shots my 13 year old nephew hits at a 40% clip outside. And 2 layups where the defender gave up.

@@craig2069 No, because coaches did not allow their players to shoot nearly that many 3 point shots. Even the greatest 3 point shooter of the era (Reggie) never shot 8 per game for a season - and only 1 or 2 seasons IIRC he averaged 7 or more attempts. BTW - Louis Dampier IN THE ABA IN THE 1960s shot more attempts in his biggest 3 point season than Reggie did.

Dude, get destroyed: ruclips.net/video/Lhu1MMtaMz0/видео.html
Precisely sir!

Couple that with today's emphasis on three pt shooting & the "threes or layups only" policies I would never
90's defense sucks and all of you know it. they were just more physical
There’s a reason why the top four players in the NBA today are foreigners ..
The NBA is honestly so boring to watch
Good offense will always beat good defense, that's why the offense doesn't need all this extra help. Allow hand checking, force man to man defense, bring back illegal defense calls, start calling carries and traveling again.
I tried getting into the NBA but it seemed like the teams just took turns scoring points. There was no struggle, no intrigue, just you score then I score and whoever has a marginal lead at the end wins.
Gee I wonder why LeBron scores so easily?
A BUNCH OF PRIVILEGE 3 POINT SHOOTERS…SO EASY TO HIT 25 30 POINTS…STAT PATTERS 😢
Can't compare decades without deep diving.
Like you said in the early 70s this was the scoring pace. PLUS I believe today the players are more efficient.
I stopped wathing NBA in the 90s, so when I see the defense in BBall today: its aboslutely pathetic
Feels like the no defense thing is because no one wants to get hurt at all whatsoever in any capacity so they just basically step aside and let everyone shoot the ball. I don't even know why the defense side tries to catch up on a fast break anymore. You ain't gonna do shit anyway really so why bother?
The NBA is a joke. I don’t know how anyone can watch the NBA right now. No passion, lack of competitiveness and everyone is nonchalant. I stopped watching the league
Kobes 23 in game 7 look much more impressive than most guys 50 point games today
This is why I don't watch the NBA anymore.
The league fosters poor defense!!
Today's game is hard to watch
There is no defence these days. Oh how I miss the 80's and 90's. And don't get me start on the All Star game, a joke. Don't remember last time I watched it.
The All Star game has usually been a joke.
The sad part is that REAL games, even the playoffs, have gotten to be the same way any more.
Defense isn’t just bad in the nba It’s terrible in college football too
The disrespect that todays game get is insane
With the amount of carrying and palming the ball. With people literally carrying like running backs no surprises the scoring has been inflated
To me the NBA today is a terrible product. Teams and players take 5 months off and then they show up for the playoffs, it's a joke . The regular season is meaningless, everybody plays 500 ball and then they hope that you can just show up for the playoffs and win a championship. 😂
They literally done nothing to avoid the players go past them. They attack without any struggle lol🤣
Basketball is a joke. I only watch highlights on RUclips. I can probably score a bucket in the league today 🏀
NBA: not watchable until Xmas, not believable until the playoffs
Great video = thanks for doing the work and looking at past era's. For a great example of how the rules of the game have been changed and ignored see the "thinking basketball - evolution of scoring" video. One of the examples shows 4 violations of the offensive player on one possession and in today's game = no call and then a foul on the defender!!
NBA is a 3 points challenge.
All the games are all star games
That's why lebron's scoring Record should be held with an *
Nah he’s earned the record man, it’s a longevity award he’s had a great career. Don’t let his fanboys overrating him make you diminish him
He’s accomplished more than jordan did in his own era. Lebron came into the league having a horrible shot but got better. He’s 38 and is still one of the best offensive players
@@craig2069 he’s accomplished LESS in 6 more seasons keep it for real man
Just dont like the way the the league punishes defense now and lets everybody go to the hole anybody can score now thats why everybody has a 30 point a game now
@Craig mj accomplished way more in 15 years, what are you talking about?? Lebron is in year 20 still chasing mj
This is my opinion only. With the lack of Hand cheking and physical play the current NBA is so soft it's almost Unwatchable what the consistent traveling ball Carrying It's almost laughable... I just know that if people take these numbers at face value that they're putting up it's like come on man are they just trying to create a Wayne Gretzky Out of thin air like Breaking Records was supposed to be earned not given?
I dont even pay attention to new age scoring stats. Theres no defense and anyone can drop 50 at any time
@4:53 look at the defender's hands like shit I can't touch this guy. tells you a lot about how weak this era is.
2:18 90's defence was great :P and again at 3:45
The NBA is on 2k all-star mode.
So good to see a video done on this topic. I think there's a secret pact amongst players to enjoy the big dollars they're raking in without injuries. Moreover the advent of "Live Betting" makes it even more suspicious. Tonight Sixers were ahead by 27 points and barely managed to win by 4 vs Cavaliers. Scores in 130 each is becoming normal. What a Joke! I hardly watch it anymore unless nothing else that night.
I remember when 40 was a great night and if you scored 60 was un heard of the nba sucks now no defense flopping and the 3 made me hate the nba game is unwatchable
Look at what just happened now.... It's even worse with 70 point games a year later with virtually zero defence!
I knew this was coming 😂 I told people this way before.
I love that in every video people make that has clips of Lebron in it he is traveling in at least one of them. 06:46 He travels so much it’s hard to make a video without a clip of him traveling. 😂 He has surpassed Patrick Ewing as the king of steps.
Do you know what a travel is? Because that wasn’t even close to a travel.
@@gggyy7104 We found the Lebron Stan. Hahaha count the steps.
@@Kashed It’s very clearly 2.
@@gggyy7104 after he picks up his dribble, he does take 3 steps. I slowed it down at .25 speed and it is 3 steps but that's allowed by today's rules. he ALMOST takes a 4th step but passes it off before he does. great body control.
@@soramirez5473 why did NBA players with lebron win bronze in olympics.because they called traveling the right way
In the early to mid 2000s, NBA offenses were awful
It goes both ways
@Night rider I watched basketball in the early 2000s. It was unwatchable, culminating in that awful Pistons/Spurs Finals
They were “awful” because the defense was way better
@@starsportscardshobbiesandm7222 They weren’t better. They just hacked and fouled a lot more
@@chrisuncleahmad789 better than phantom fouls being called
@@starsportscardshobbiesandm7222 So you’d rather call no fouls?
No wonder Lebron has such an easy time scoring ☠️
Lebron was averaging 20 ppg at age 19 before hand checking was banned
Right
The NBA defense is as soft as Cool Whip.
Really I moved all my bets to college ball and NFL, THE NBA IS JUST ENTERTAINMENT MEANT TO RAZZLE AND DAZZLE ITS NOT A SPORT, IT IS CAPARIBLE TO THE WWE
You better don’t get close because ref will call a foul on you without touching anyone 😂 😆 😝 FLOPPERS ERA
Please what is the music in back ground
AND THEY TRAVEL SO MUCH ITS LAUGHABLE…I MEAN TRAVEL ON THE COURT 😢
Defense is bad today because you can't look at the offensive guy today
You have players today who can make half court shots with no effort. The offense is significantly better than defense
@@craig2069 of course but when you can't even touch the defender without being called a foul the defender is trying to play a guessing game while the offense can lean into the defender and get free throws
@Craig you can't even touch a offensive player nowadays with your finger,,, they'll call a foul
That's offensively
Bird would get foul calls for his trash talking today.
THAT'S how bad the defense is handicapped in today's pathetic JOKE of an NAB.
It's not the last 2 years.
It's more like the last DECADE, perhaps a little longer.
Saying the 96 Bulls is one of the greatest off. teams is nonsense. The 96-98 3peat Bulls claim to fame was D. They had no scorers. Only Mike avgd 20+
Switch those two in terms of reasoning, yes shooting is better but defenses aren’t allowed to do their job
@@mattmmixes 3 pt shoot is def way better compared to the 80s
In the early 2000s, teams making 5-10 threes a game was a big deal. Basically it was TallBall
@@stephordless8876 Kindergraten defense ? You mean like this: ruclips.net/video/s55jUcooSho/видео.html
Right ?
3 minutes into tonight’s Minn/Denver game 4 (10-7) 3 wide open shots my 13 year old nephew hits at a 40% clip outside. And 2 layups where the defender gave up.
The NBA is becoming unwatchable. Two thirds of the shots people put up are uncontested completely. It’s like watching a shoot around.
Defense in the 90s was so good because that's all they had..
It's a starting 5 trying to be MJ Kobe and Steph Curry every team now.
If curry played in the 90s he would average 40 ppg and 15 apg
@@craig2069 With hand checking, better 1 on 1 & team defense and moving picks being called, Curry AVG. 14.5 PPG and 7 APG in the 90's.
Curry's Stardom is a product of structural rule changes.
@@craig2069 with hand checking,, curry getting his little ass knocked around,,, maybe 18-20 ppg on average
@@bricefleckenstein9666 despite all of what you're saying, him as the athlete he is, that's why he'd shoot the lights out in the 90s.
