Overview: The 2021 Wethepeople Reason has amazing quality. Everything on this bike screams 'street rider' with the pegs, 4 pc bars, and free coaster, you will have a blast shredding the streets. This bike has responsive geometry like the pro's ride. Choose between matte black and matte blue.

Getting a top tube that is taller than suggested will make the bike feel more controlled and less responsive
Getting a top tube size that is smaller than normal will make the bike feel a lot more snappy and responsive.
B: Chain Stay Length: 12.75″ -
This is a short chainstay.
A short chain stay makes the bike feel twitchy. Spins will be easy, but airing and jumping might feel hard to control.
A long chain stay will make the bike feel really controlled. Spins will feel sluggish, but manuals and air tricks will feel nice because it will be more stable.
C: Head Tube Angle: 76° -
Steep head tube angles make the bike “snappy” meaning more responsive to fast turns.
A less steep head tube gives you more control.
D: Seat Tube Angle: 71.5°
E: Bottom Bracket Height: 11.75″
F: Stand over height: 9″
This is a tall standover.
A tall standover gives you more seat to pinch when doing barspins and t-bogs.

Thanks for the video, keep them coming! Whilst the front rim is a single-wall rim, we have for sure not "skimped out" or "gone cheap". The Rim itself is a Salt VALON Rim. This is our own design and utilizes our own oversize pin technology and thicker profile which actually makes it incredibly strong for a single wall rim (stronger than many cheap double-wall rims many brand use). We tested these Salt Valon single-wall rims in the lab and in the streets with our team and many of these original ample rims are still being ridden! So far we have never had any reports of people "taccoing" these rims or damaging them. Using a single wall rim allows us to use that budget on speccing higher quality sealed-bearing hubs, which we feel is a fair compromise, especially when the quality of the rim does not suffer. Much of the R&D we as a brand actually work on is creating incredibly well-performing, price-point components which help allow us to create bikes with incredible quality and the best bang for your buck. I ordered this. The single wall worries me but I have a kink double wall rim front rim i can replace that single wall if he gets bent outta shape. I love how much detail you went into with this review. You got my sub for sure man!😁

Hey dougster i bought this bike a month ago and the single wall does the job very well.
Great review, thank you. I just bought this bike, should arrive in a couple of days. I really don’t like the blue one, I ordered the black one, and I also ordered a can of black spray paint just in case I decide to get rid of the bling of those cranks. Mine apparently comes with a Salt Pro cassette hub, not a freecoaster. I prefer a cassette actually, and should be slightly lighter with a cassette. The pegs are steel and pretty heavy, I’m planning to use it without pegs for a while and later if I want to put pegs I might get 4 kink drifts (very light and plastic).
Though it is a single wall rim, the salt stock parts dont mess around. After 13 months of riding the crs fc 2020, the rims and almost everything else has not failed me and are strong as ever
Hey doug… i’m in the process of buying my first bmx and i have found the wtp reason 2020 matt lilac at a decent price (hint: less than 300 😁) as it is second hand… I have made sure that it is in good shape and as a matter of fact it has barely been used. The only problem is that i cant seem to find any reviews on the 2020 version 😢 only this video (which btw congrats is very well made) which covers the 2021 model. So my main question is: does the 2020 version have exactly the same specs as the 2021? (this would allow me to follow this video as a guide to the bike) If not… is there any way for you to touch on the topic?
p.s. at this point i also want to ask… do you recommend me the bike? considering that i am somewhere in between 5’11 and 6ft and the bike is practically new and costs me around 250… dw i made sure that it isn’t a scam… just need to decide quick otherwise ill loose the opportunity… (no pressure 😂)

Damn 76 ht is wild. I don't prefer a steep ht but im not a street rider per say. I run a 74.5 with 13.6 cs and still feels quick compare to what i used to ride in the early 00's. Great videos though I'm stoked i found this channel. Im a trail/transition rider so I don't think I'd like this geo. But hey to each is own.

I dunno. The high end WTP bikes like the Battleship and Envy are worth every penny, but their lower line stuff is overpriced. I can say the same about Sunday. The Soundwave is a great bang for the buck as is the Street Sweeper, but most don't buy those bikes.
Completely agree. Completes in general are overpriced. Cheap pinch bolt cranks. 2 piece forks high ten frames etc. They cut so many corners and increase the profit margin. I'd rather build a custom with high end used parts. I know not all kids can afford a 1400$ custom build but there are ways to get a solid bike without blowing your cash on a terd complete
@@mikedevlinbmx7208 A company like Sunday or WTP etc have a huge amount of over head and need to cover that and come out profitable. They also have to recoup their losses from the life time warranties they offer. I don't think no other BMX companies offer lifetime. That obviously costs them money. Even if I have to pay a few bucks extra, I personally don't mind because I know my bike is backed by the lifetime warranty and the great Sunday customer service I've experienced.
A bike like the Soundwave will easily run you $1500-1600 if you built it yourself. So the $1100 the complete costs is a steal. Which is why I got one myself. I've run a business most of my adult life, so I can say doing business is a lot more costly than most people think and companies need to profit to stay open. I think most companies actually lose money on selling their high ends but make it up on a bit over pricing on their lower ends.

I hope 5 hours is fast enough. If it’s a 2022 Williams on sale go with that. That will be the best value. Imo the 2023 Williams is overpriced and if it’s between that, go with the reason. Both will be good for the type of riding you’re doing so I’d go based off value

can you change the rims on the reason to double wall rims rather than single?
Yes. It's actually only the front rim that is single, and a replacement double wall front wheel is pretty affordable.

Dude if you're a heavier guy, (im around 210 and hi-tensile steel parts dont last.) just step it up in quality. If you are heavier and riding at a beginner level, get a mid level and if youre riding mid level get a high level. hope that helps!!
