Haha yea, except truly bottomless, would not have been a fun time trying to monkey our way across. Apparently we got super lucky with the levels of the Red River, a local told us it usually is far higher
@@HikingAmerica you did get lucky but you “paid” for it with the fire reroute. April has been much drier than normal hence the low water but also drier making fires a danger. It’s unusual for fire to be a concern in KY in April. But it all worked out.
Does Miguel’s offer hostel style accommodations behind the restaurant? That fire was finally brought under control this weekend with the help of some rain that was overdue for this time of the year. Nice job with the vlog.
It does, that was our original plan, but then hiking with (3) people we saw a motel up the road and it’s especially cheap when splitting it 3 ways. As for the fire yea, glad to hear it was reigned in!
Phenomenal upload, atmosphere is outstanding and so relaxing here.
Thanks, it’s a fun hike.
5:35 It looks just like one of those New Zealand bottomless bridges. 🤣👍

You haven't yet mentioned if Spammy is riding along on the bottom of your pack.
Hmmmmmmm, mysteries of life. Truth be told I forgot Spammy, and it nags at my soul every single day!
@@HikingAmerica oh no. Poor Spammy is missing the adventure
