Today I am trying out aloe vera in my flaxseed gel recipe. My hope is that it will help keep my hair hydrated as the weather gets colder this year.

Another tip- Carefully strain the aloe through some cheesecloth before adding it to your gel so you don't get those little chunks in your hair like I did!

Yes I just finger combed the gel into my hair and this time I let it air dry!

Saw the video and thank you. Can you tell me if you scented your gel? If not what does it smell like naturally if you can describe the scent. Lovely curls🥰
The gel does not have much of a scent at all... maybe a little bit earthy but it's nice and hardly noticeable. Sometimes I like to add a pinch of cinnamon or add a couple of peppermint leaves while I'm making it to give it some more life!
Your curls are beautiful! My hair is not as curly as yours but I am wondering if you also get these white flakes when the gel cast breaks? They are so hard to get out and cause terrible tangles too. Do you have any advice on that problem? I would be so grateful! Love your videos!
