Bloblobber deco is one of my favourite weapons in 3 :D
One and only kraken weapon who's not a refrence kit and I just love the yellow!

Respawn punisher pencil would be interesting, since it's not really known for trying to get kills.

afaik quite a few people run rp pencil, i see it a decent amount in soloq & on the sendouink build database. would be really fun 2 see dude play it though

Great video, ever thought of doing the challenge with a weapon that tends to use a lot of quick respawn like wiper or tetras. Could be interesting 😁

ah yes, my beautiful toilet bowl, i'm fairly new to splatoon, i feel i've found a niche in the bloblobber, i love how, out of all the sloshers, blob is technically able to get a 1 shot kill, that and the fact that it has a really cool gimmic.
DUDE talked about how when holding forwards you can get quick kills, that's because the bubbles are closer together, so effectivly you increase its rpm, another cool thing about it is the bubles will travel a little further down hills, so think brinewater or hammerhead bridge, you can defend those areas and watch, as unsuspecting fools take on the blobs bubbles.

Huh, I actually didn't know any of that directly and I've been playing both blobs for a while. Thanks for sharing that! Def hoping to get some knowledge to help me advance more with it, because I want to push this weapon and so far this video is rich of things to study. Even if its just a silly challenge.

There’s so much tech that Blob has that hardly anyone knows about because it’s seen as just a painter weapon 😭

@@smolmuffin i wish you luck in taking the blob as far as you can go, just remember this, down hill and looking up for longer range shots are your friend, but also remember the opposite is also true

@@koveltskiis8391 the irony there is that's what makes it such a good painter weapon

@@koveltskiis8391 I really want to see the devs tinker a bit more with the bubble physics when they bounce off stuff, maybe an additional buff to them (they exist a bit longer?) because I love how they can get you out of a pinch, be used for trick shots or just be an annoying menace. Blobs an easy weapon to get rushed with but I tend to live longer in cramped spaces due to bubble physics or at a distance from the chaos.

You need ink saver for your sub weapon. You only need 2 run speeds. Blood is a midline. You shouldn't play it has a front liner

Try aggressive Ninja Squid Blob Deco someday. One of the keys to making Blob kill consistently is being close to the opponent, moreover, moving towards them to make the blobs go faster, and Ninja lets you do that easily. Think of it kinda like an H3 crossed with a roller, or a Luna with some added shenanigans.
Blobs' direction is indeed influenced by your movement. Move forward and they speed up. Move back and they spread out. Move left, and they will move left with you. Even the reticle shows that by moving left and right. Left stick has a huge influnence on your aim, and since unlike H3 all blobs spawn in the same direction instead of readjusting mid-burst, it's the best way to make them go not all four in a straight line against a more evasive opponent. Move with your blobs, and move with your opponent.
Also, don't spam, it's tempting to keep sloshing until you confirm something happening because the feedback comes so late, but it's better to do one calculated blob and get moving immediately.
And Blob Deco's reticle matches Marker's reticle perfectly by the way.
And for point blank shots, Blob's model is really far to the right compared to shooters, it has to be taken into account.

In S2 blob had wall also, which this weapon desperately needs because its slow. Most maps had a good spot to throw wall on tower. In S3 I might run blob on Rainmaker with object shredder, but thats it.
I always see players running blob though. I suspect it has decent usage numbers.
The thing that makes it special is bubble persistence and bounces. Yeah its slower, but it has infinite range with height. Bubbles keep going after hitting a wall or the floor. This gives you a lot of room for creativity in angled shots, in painting things beneath you, etc. It also allows you to swamp an area keeping players away for an extra second or two.
I sense hate from the try hard crowd because you can get splats by just swamping an area or from a long range safe place, and they feel anything that's not twitch based is bad. This is a purely selfish take of course. It's similar to a sniper in that you need to find a back way to approach them at mid range. They're often deadly short range as they can surround themselves with bubbles.

Everyone knows blob has a low skill floor, get to a snipe and keep pressing zr in the general direction.
What people don't often realize is how absurdly high its skill ceiling is, every single imput between looking direction and movement direction matters and affects where each shot will fly and there is not a single aspect of randomness to it. Prediction is vastly more important than reaction.
Really not much more satisfying types of shots in this game than perfectly flicking to splat a moving player a distance away with a single flick.
