I like the format, the overall casual vibe and appreciate the detailed fingering explanations. That seems to be the most helpful element for me. Thanks much!
sweet!!! Im just gettin started an had all kinds of fun exploring that TY!!! btw I am doing JC's Jackson with the wife an some how managed to trip in here for some fun.
To be honest what struck me most here was the guy's SHIRT! That's a really nice shirt, nice colours, and just perfectly matched to the theme of country music. Where did you get it?
Great video, I think it's good that you're posting some bass lessons now and it's basic beginner stuff. IMO, it helps all the beginners understand more easily about what's going on in music and gives them good practice routines. Man! I wish they had the internet back when I started learning to play. 8( haha Thanks again guys!
Hey! Thanks for the awesome lesson! I'm a guitar player and recently starting trying to learn bass. One quick question; when you are going back and forth between the root and fifth, are you fretting the note with both pinky and ring fingers??
Hey! Thanks for watching. I usually 'back up' my pinky with the ring finger for strength....taken from upright technique. Never leave a note ringing when you go between the root and fifth. Cheers!
The amount of fret buzzing you produced is pretty bad my dude... Maybe the bass needs some work, or either work on your fretting hand accuracy. I dunno just my two cents

On your walk up/downs what are the tabs ??? Just started learning and thanks
major 4ths and roots. very fun and very easy to learn
Awesome! Marty taught me guitar and googled this for my first bass lesson!
great lesson ... easy to follow ..thanks from UK.
Not just for Country, but for Polkas & Marches too!
Rockabilly as well. I-IV-V progression. Thousands and thousands of "hit songs" uses this primitive formula.
I love the bass vids. Would like them more if I could see what you're doing on all the walk ups/downs.
Check tabs for "I Walk the line" - very similar, should help
G-A-B-C is the first walk up, I think. Don't have my bass handy to verify.
so in other words, root-5-root-5-root-5-root-5-6-7-root

Do the f holes on your forearms affect your tone?
Yes. Yes they do ;)
please clarify what finger tip is pressing which note. I see four fingers, and none of them appear to be moving.
youtube now has a play button that you press
Do you have a website that you post beats on. I’m looking to buy one
En los próximos vídeos los puedes hacer mas cerca del bajo ?
great lessons, basic, explained well and fun, good job! perfect for a beginner like me....
I wish you would have talked more about walk-up notes.
Hello. What kind of bass is that? It has a real good upright bass sound.
Minus the bad fret buzz
No backing track?
is that the plan Dutch?!

What's that bass?
Can you send tabs?
are they drunk?
cant play country unless your drunk, its a rule
👏👏👏👍👍👍🎸
Quite a confusing explanation - Not one of your better lessons
Where's the exact pedagogical move tha you use on the other lessons --- ?
Just saw this. Your not going slow enough and explaining all the notes and notes your fretting during the walk ups and walk downs.
Thought I was watching mariachis 😃
That was even Illusive...I don't know like Scot Grove fucking talked about it....I don't know fuck else talk about that lol
I looked this up because I'm currently of the opinion that all old country bass sucks. I feel like I've heard this same country line a billion times

Being a country music bass player back in the day must have been the easiest job.
What do you mean? They struggled trying not to fall asleep. They also drove the bus and procured the weed.
this is the worst instructions ever, I went from this to this and then this...got it?
poor sound, mumbling, and unclear finger movement.
That's what makes it authentic country.
Next time tell the notes you are playing, every note, trust. Does RUclips have any good guitar teachers?
Lesson stinks!
