I’ve ordered a few deluxe versions of Turkish Delight directly from Turkey after having a few perfumes that smell like it. I was in love with the scent. Keiko Mecheri has a lovely one called Loukhoum. Ava Luxe has one of the same name. They are utterly gorgeous. I think I tried one by Serge Lutens as well, that started with Rahat. So so delectable. I had to try the sweet these were based on. I’ve grown quite fond of them, even the ones with rose petals on or inside them. They are very different to anything else in my opinion. My husband will only eat the nut ones, nothing floral. For anyone wanting a recipe for these, RUclips is full of recipes on it. It takes quite a bit of time and stirring-fair warning for those limited on time or patience.

My son has been to Turkey on holiday three times and each time he has bought back a box of Turkish Delight but they are not the soft pink ones that we have in the UK, they are quite and chewy like a soft toffee, they are absolutely lovely, if I knew how to make that type I would always have a supply of them.
