    Thank you for showing us so clearly and for explaining why you're choosing to do these things - very much appreciated. And that peel-back-&-flip-up idea? Loved it!

    As someone just starting to get into book binding, I appreciate all of this fundamental knowledge.
    But I really love seeing the box making process! There’s lots of book binding videos available, but not very many using the same tools and techniques to make these beautiful boxes. Look forward to see what you have for us next!

    Thank you @ido!
    I make my own boxes from chipboard in this very method for my board games (the boxes they come in are always too big). I am very interested in seeing you complete the box you started in this video because this is the point at which I am usually done and just draw on the chipboard to complete the box - I'm very interested in seeing how you reinforce the creases and cover the box. Please talk about where you get your materials as well.

      Thank you for writing me, I will make a video with more of the process in the near future and its a great idea to make a video about where you can find materials. Im adding it to my list.

    Thank you, this is so clear and straight forward, l really enjoyed watching it. I'm not confident using a knife compared to using scissors but you show how controlled it can be, taken step by step. The use of scoring to reduce thickness in joints is genius!

      Thank you for sharing, Scoring is fine if you know the disadvantages. What I mean to say is, it is completely okay to use it.

    Bonjour,
    Excellente vidéo technique!!
    Je connais la technique de dédoublement du carton, que j'applique notamment pour faire une saignée, par exemple pour insérer un ruban sans que son épaisseur marque la doublure;
    Mais pour faire des boîtes à arêtes de 90° je n'utilise que la technique de tous les morceaux coupés. Une fois tous les côtés montés collés, je consolide toutes mes arêtes avec des bandes de papier kraft et j' habille enfin toutes mes faces de papier bulle que je coupe à ras et j'ai ainsi une base très propre prête à être recouverte de papier, de tissus ou autre matériau. Qu'en pensez-vous??
    Bonne journée
    .

      This is more or less what I do when constructing Boxes. constructing from individual pieces glued together allowing a 90 degree angle, then sanding to have a smooth surface, only then I cover the box with my chosen material.
      Thank you for sharing your process
