Tula Pink leads us through the narrowing down of the ideas for her collection with help from her mother and her brother. It’s all about the vibe and choosing the right animals, plus Tula wants her designs to "communicate something." Tula defines what it is to be an illustrator and starts drawing a different way of looking at an elephant for her upcoming design collection. She then describes how she chooses colors for her design. Tula Pink sews on a Bernina sewing machine. Purchase exclusive Tula Pink quilt kits, fabric and more on Keepsake Quilting. This video is also available to download on Keepsake Quilting. You’re a wise young lady who appears to give MUCH thought & consideration in what she thinks, direction she wants to go to, , the goals she desires to reach for! Oftentimes I take deep breaths to re-realize where I WANT to go, what I want to do. Sometimes it is not easy. I totally enjoy you & your work! 😅👏

Man, you and Angela are truly changing the look of "craft type" videos with this reality "artist" video category. I'm so loving your story. Thanks for being an inspiration to me (60) and so many others (25ers). It's wonderful. A true boast for getting a college degree when you're talented. I truly appreciate you. I had a family business years ago. I wouldn't trust anyone else to work with me this closely than my family. Thank you.

My favorite quilt of yours has the border. The center is filled with your lovely traditional blocks🧢. It says TulaPink. Your Friend. Shirley Cawyer. 😅

You and your family are so great. :-) Thanks for sharing about what training you got in school. My daughter is 6 and such an illustrator already. She's so specific with her illustrations, and draws real life situations and perspectives as well as her stories. I will be excited to see what she decides to do. She recently got a sewing machine and loves it. Thank you for sharing so much about how you create your beautiful pieces. And if you don't read your RUclips comments, please, someone, pass along my gratitude.

Hi Tula. Loving your videos. I found the zebra painting at a nursery in New Zealand when I visited my brother .I liked them so much that I've used the painting for my Facebook photo. You are talking about morrocan Indian colours for elephants.Maybe this will get your creative juices going. Love Kay .

I just love your line of fabrics and really appreciate all the work that goes into making your beautiful collection. That in turn makes me astatic when I buy it and make something out of it or just hold on to it because it’s to amazing to cut up. And yes I have been known to buy 2 sets. I am a paramedic which make my life sometimes very dark even though for the most part I am truly blessed by helping people, which I love. Your fabrics bring me into a place of happiness. Thank you for sharing your creativity.

First off let me echo how fantastic your designs are. You’re a young woman with years ahead of you. I think you will even surpass yourself. I have an idea. I write, quilt, paint, and a bunch of other things. I also had for me, a weight problem. I was watching your video and you mentioned never sewing for yourself. I sewed clothing also. Have you ever thought of making yourself some of those kaftans. With your ability I see you in a beautiful flowing kaftan. It would be fantastic with your animals on it. The colors and art work would explode in vibrant colors. There’s nobody doing that anywhere. There’s mu- mu’s and a few things like that but not with your art on them in large bold colors. You could have your own line. Your terrific kiddo. I wish you the very best.
