Dawn and Peter another fun informative video. I watch for y’all to release a new video. Love you two. Peter do not change the red thread it adds so much to the piece. I will be adding that touch to my pieces. Have a blessed day everyone!
Thank you for your tutorial. The sew-tight magnets are a game changer- no more death grip needed by my poor hands! Plus the tip on using the magnifying lamp. And using a milliner’s needle; the needle entering the fabric at 90 degrees; and permission to make my stitches a bit further apart! Wonderful practical advice!
Dawn…can you please give me the name of the magnifying light you used in this video. It’s just what I’ve been looking for after a recent diagnosis of macular degeneration. I’m not ready to give my sewing up yet. Does your store carry this light? Do you ship? I’m in NY state…all the way north on the Canadian border. thank You in advance for your reply.
I enjoy English paper piecing. Those new patterns look like fun. Can’t wait to see you make your bowls. I’ll have to maybe get the pattern and make one with you guys.
The center is a pentagon - 5 sides. A hexagon has 6 sides! The side of a hexie measures half the point to point through the center - 1” side is 2” from point to point! And so on! I’ve been working on a 3/4” hexie project for years😁😁😁. And thanks for the hint about the 80wt - it’s more difficult to find where I live but I do have a shop about 50 miles away that does have it.
If I ever want to venture into EPP I know where to go for a tutorial! You make it look easy, Dawn! I did not knot/nod off during the video. 😂 Looking forward to seeing the bowl tutorial with Dawn and Peter!
This is the only video I have watched from you that I didn’t enjoy. So many things stated as fact that are just personal choice. There was nothing wrong with Peters’s stitches. Knicker knot!

Your welcome!
Enjoy your demos. I believe we painted together way back when! Love watching you.
Oh thank you!
You make it so clear , I have been unsure about how to do the stitches and gluing. Time to give it a try!
Thank you!
Dawn…fabulous tutorial. Would you consider doing a tutorial on how to attach the diamond shape to the hexagons please!?!

Hello!!
I’ll be watching for your bowl tutorial. Thank you for sharing this. I’m still in the rookie’ stage with EPP and loving every stitch! 🧵
Do you have tips for protecting skin? I use a thimble but have dry skin .. my hands, nails and cuticles take a bit of a beating … Help, please!
Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
That was a great lesson. I needed to make sure I was doing it right. I really enjoy paper piecing. It's a great project for the winter. Thank you.

you totally have to
I like to put my broken pins and needles in an M&M tube with a flip top lid. I love the fun banter with the camera 🎥 (video) man!
That's a great tip!
Thank you for such wonderful tips and tricks
Most welcome 😊

The mirror-test is a great tool !!!
It is so fun!
Great video! Joined your channel!
Thanks for coming! We are so happy to have you here!
The bowls would make great ort containers for cross stitchers!
That's a great idea Tina!
I saw a lot of those lights at my cross stitch retreat.
This is so helpful! I’m not seeing the starter kit online.
Please email orders@alwaysinstitches1.com so we can stay in touch when we are finished making up more kits.
Love the video & am excited to see bowl demo.. bought the kit quite awhile ago and just dug it out. Are the paper pieces easy to get out?
Yes they are!
Great video on this topic. How do you remove the paper?
Just lift up the edge of the fabric and peel the paper out.
@@alwaysinstitches5388 Sounds simple enough. I have not yet ventured into EPP. :)
Video close ups are to blurred
The 5 sided piece is a pentagon, not a hexie/hexagon (which has 6 sides)
The diamond shape is a rhombus.
Where can I order one of the kits for the paper piecing? Would love to learn paper piecing.
We have kits on our website. You can also email orders@alwaysinstitches1.com
The big hexy is not a hexy ,it calls pentagon…hexys have 6 points, pentagon 5🎉😊
Thank you!
Lick your finger and the thimble will stay on your finger until you take it off.
Video kinda makes me dizzy. In and out.
