Watching this video every time I saw a picture of her I caught myself smiling. In a good way. I just thought she seemed like a genuinely good person who got mixed up with the wrong people and died way too early.
I remember Carol Wayne from the 1969 episode of Bewitched where Uncle Arthur does a trick with Tabitha's white rabbit that she got for her birthday, where in his incantation he said, "Lo and behold, a cottontail bunny!". The incantation goes wrong and out comes a "cocktail bunny", played by Wayne. This episode of Bewitched is one of my favourite episodes and in my opinion one of the funniest (Samantha's reaction is priceless!). It also stars a very young Danny Bonaduce (the Partridge Family), and Bernie Kopell (Dr. Bricker on The Love Boat). Regarding her death, just going for a walk on the beach and ending up dead offers no explanation of what actually happened. I'm speculating, but she could have slipped on a rock and fell face down into the water. You don't need any more than a few inches of water to drown, so 4 feet of water, as you said, is plenty. Or after the argument with her douchebag boyfriend, she could have become so despondent and contemplated suicide and gave it a try, not really knowing that she would succeed. One of her last known appearances after her Playboy spread was on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. To me, on that show she seemed to be much more extroverted, when she had always been known for her quiet, shy, demure personality. I wonder what she would have been like if she had survived, and we would have been able to enjoy her career much more than we got a chance to. We'll never know for sure.
I had always wondered who this actress was having seen her on so many sitcoms from that era. She was very talented and should have at least been part of the main cast on a sitcom, if not the star. Her death does sound extremely suspicious and should have been investigated further.
Drugs alcohol, could have caused her to pass out, face down. Most so-called life preservers do not turn body's face up. She could have passed out face up, then as the body settled, turned face down. RUclips self proclaimed experts are rarely knowledgeable about what they are claiming to be knowledgeable in.
“LSD” addiction? I haven’t heard that One yet, but I certainly got those flashbacks. To quote Orsen Wells, “that town doesn’t have a good track record”
I have read that LSD is not an addictive drug. I've always thought about trying LSD, but I'm afraid of an 8 hour trip - afraid it might be a bad 8 hour trip!
I remember when that was in the news. Art Linkletter was quite conservative. He wanted to blame his daughter's death on anything other than suicide. After that happened, he went on a crusade against recreational drugs, specifically LSD, blaming the manufacturers of it for murdering her.
@@histubeness Art was also a control freak: a friend in Univ. was in the film biz and told me firsthand Linkletter had private det. following his daughter. For someone ALREADY PARANOID and struggling, it wouldn't have taken much to push her over the edge. Inotherwords, it was suicide all right, and her father played a big role in it.
@@mjp29 LSD brings out what is ALREADY there. If you're paranoid, it will get worse (a bad trip). That's why LSD was usually taken under a Psych. observation in case something went wrong. Then it hit the streets.

I’ve been swimming in the ocean, not far from where she drowned and the current or rip tide, whatever, was incredibly strong! I ended up having to swim a little farther across the current to get back. I know at 4 feet deep, I couldn’t stand up, the current was too strong. Also, a women drowned in the same spot I was swimming just a few days later. She had been in the water since the day before, they thought, as the tide had brought her body to the beach.
The rip tide there is incredible, mostly due to the intense drop off in depth nearby. I remember red, green and yellow flags posted daily to advise swimmers. And this happened at night? Currents change intensity constantly. But the other evidence is also compelling. Too many coincidences. The exit to Japan appears calculated and purposeful.
@@thomasbratus8185 Apparently she wasn't a good swimmer, in these comments is a guy who says he was friends with her and that just week's before she was "at his house learning to swim in his pool", someone with that little experience swimming doesn't stand a chance in currents like that, I've swam in them and they're treacherous, experienced swimmers get killed in them, someone who just week's before was in someone's pool just learning how to swim wouldn't stand a chance.
Read that she died in water in Mazatlan.I know that water. I almost drown. I'm a masters swimmer and currents and rip tide is very strong. Every time I tried to get out of water, another wave slammed me back, rolled me under.over and over.i crawled out of water and was exhausted. I was a triathlete at the time.
Need to open a cold case. No way was this an accident. Can’t believe it was not fully investigated. Instead of keeping her character off the air for a year Johnny should have hired private eyes to get to the bottom of that case!
I never knew about her death. I always wondered what happened to her. I remember her from an episode of I Dream of Jeannie, it was hilarious. She also had a small part in the film, Savanah Smiles. After that, I never saw her again. It's evil what ppl get away with. It sounds like her boyfriend did the deed. If he ever comes back to the states, I hope he's apprehended and taken to prison. When it's murder, there are no stautes of limitations.
Why was she the last person you'd expect would drown? She had no experience as a swimmer and just week's before going to Mexico was at a friend's house "learning how to swim" in his pool. Anyone that inexperienced at swimming wouldn't stand a chance in tides like that, I've swam in the ocean and know how treacherous the tides can be especially around rocks, there's two guy's in these comments who were talking about how they've both been to the exact area she drowned at and say the rip currents right there are exceptionally bad and one of the guy's said a woman drowned at that exact spot the week he was there. Someone who was just learning how to swim in a pool wouldn't stand a chance in something like that.
My memories were of her on Carson. Always great entertainment. Johny could always make you think and even fantasize. Always in good fun. Not aware of anything else, so I'll just stay with the good memories from a great entertainer. Johny is long gone but watching his reruns is fantastic. This dates me as it dates many Carson fans, it was a great time for TV.

Very suspicious!!! In 4 feet of water with those 2 life preservers holding her up!!! I think not...
I just found you
Yes i subscribed and will follow you guys
I like the narration thanks

Yes, OMG Carol was a cutie.....always thought she was murdered
...she probably was...
She was
@@kbchaffin53 iyep..I agree
I seem to remember reading somewhere that she had a genius IQ.
Are you talking about Jayne Mansfield?? She supposedly had a genius IQ
I subscribed.
She was a professional and wont be forgotten
I remember her! She appeared on some game shows too.
If she had no overwhelming reason for suicide, it has to be suspicious. Its always a shame when these beautiful vivacious ladies die young.
She played a bunny 🐰 on Bewitched really well 👌
That was supposed to be a family show. I always turn that episode because it is not.
Loved the "Tea Time" skits.
Delightful Character
Thats very sad, such a lovely lady.

Apparently she wasn't a good swimmer, in these comments is a guy who says he was friends with her and that just week's before she was "at his house learning to swim in his pool", someone with that little experience swimming doesn't stand a chance in currents like that, I've swam in them and they're treacherous, experienced swimmers get killed in them, someone who just week's before was in someone's pool just learning how to swim wouldn't stand a chance.
Edward Durston moved to Japan to run from the possibility of being charged for possible charges. One accident maybe two is extremely questionable.
yeah, definitely highly sus
I just subscribed "🔔".. looking forward to viewing your channel.. RIP Miss Carol
Need to open a cold case. No way was this an accident. Can’t believe it was not fully investigated. Instead of keeping her character off the air for a year Johnny should have hired private eyes to get to the bottom of that case!

thank you!
Yes , she wanted to travel the stars and planets......mars , Venus ,..... JUNIPER
The narrator states that Carol Wayne's boyfriend, Durskin, died in 2007.
@@douglasdixon524 it’s weird how people don’t pick up clear details in such short videos.
i believe it is in God's hand's now🙏
Death is a limitation on murder. Durskin died.
She was the absolutely the last person I'd expect to hear of drowning. However I expect she did make it big in Hollywood.

That's true, she should have bobbed face up you'd think.
They were already staying at a hotel. They argued about where they were going to stay that night. Carol went for a walk on the beach. Durstin checked out of the hotel, went to the airport, left her bags at the airport. Report doesn't say he took a plane anywhere. The entire story is suspicious.
Ron Spector's murders were thought to also be accidents, until the last one that had too many holes in his story.
