We have had terrible experience with these! First one died while being powered from a 5V USB and was replaced by Feelworld, second one died during a fw update and they wont replace. We switched to Viltrox DC-X3 and not looking back! Much sturdier (alu) construction and a much better UI. I would stay away from the F5 ProX!
didn't show us how to tap focus work my friend. we can see what's inside the box if I just go to amazon and what the specs on the monitor. please show us Wireless Transmission how does that work.

I have a A6400 and just picked up the fx30 two weeks ago and I love it. Found myself doing more video so went with the fx30 and I get to use my glass that I got for my a6400. 18-105 G F4
Can you attach this monitor to an articulating arm, or does it have to be attached directly to the camera? If it can be attached to an arm, what kind of cord would I need to get to plug it into the camera. The cord that comes with the monitor may be too short.
Question, if I don’t have any luts installed in the monitor but I have my luts displaying in the camera , will the monitor display that? Or will it display slog3

@@JasonMorrisphotocinema Ah, mine just arrived and it doesn't power via AC like my Portkeys monitor. Not sure if it requires a different voltage cable or if my monitor is a dud. First thing I noticed is that the image isn't nearly as nice as the Portkeys. The menu system is far superior though.
Very limited. Portkeys have a couple but touch function is not amazing. You can use your phone with sony cameras and monitor & control app that is the best for that
I had their other relabeled version(F5 v4) which is essentially the same thing minus some programmatic changes to software... it lasted 6 months MAX and wouldn't turn on ON SET! FeelworLd tried to tell me to send it back to them(a week or so to get to them and they would send another back(A WHOLE OTHER WEEK)... I trashed it and going to spend a wee bit more for an Atomos ninja or anything different maybe Viltrox. I wouldn't recommend this model/Brand at all.

Back in the early 2010's, this monitor would've been close to a 1000 dollars. Crazy how affordable gear is. Wonderful time to be a filmmaker/Creator.

Go with Viltrox, we had two F5 Prox units fail on us, its cheap but i wouldnt trust it for anything!

I don't believe there is tap to focus unless I somehow missed that feature

Stick to apsc since you already have one

This has the advantage of the power pass through on the back if that is what you need

Does the Waveform, Zebra and False Color show the image with LUT or the Log image?
it will read the screen as is. If you have a LUT if will read the LUT exposure. I always recommend expose with the LOG footage to be safe
How come when I plug it into my a7siii the screen doesn’t take up the entire screen? I have messed with some settings but still no luck

Very good question. I honestly don't know when It was initially released. if it is the same model number as you're thinking then it must be the same

Very similar. The biggest win for this is the pass through power on the back
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema aluminum vs plastic, SDI vs HDMI only, 2000nits vs 1600 and also terrible UI vs usable.
Using it with my xs20 and dont Like at all. The colours are Not Great and are changing a lot when looking on it from the side
oh really? I have found the colors to be fine once I changed the white balance on the monitor. I did not like the 5600k setting

Same experience here, two of these failed, one on set the other during fw upgrade.
