    Iminstalled one on my 2017 Tacoma. It felt good until it caused my truck to malfunction. While driving, I heard a "Thunk" the transmission disengaged, the motor cut off and I had warning light come on the display. Not a fun experience. I removed the device and sent it back. Thank you very much.

      Sorry to hear about your experience, we have installed Sprint Boosters on many Toyotas and have never had this problem.

    Is This better than pedal commander? I currently have the pedal commander on my 2014 chevy ss sedan and it works great havent had any problems. Had it for 1yr already

    How does this differ or improve the already available ECT mode, which adjusts both acceleration and transmission mapping? Thanks

      This will not change the existing ECT function, the Sprint Booster will only improve the output signal from the potentiometer at the pedal giving you the ability to tune pedal sensitivity to a fine degree or at least until you find 1:1 pedal ratio.

    I installed this on my 2019 tacoma yesterday. I’m very disappointed. I was under the impression that this would fix the lag from the time I press the accelerator to the time the engine responds. It didn’t do that at all. The only change was that it takes less of a pedal push to get the same response that would have taken more of a push before. The lag is still prevalent. I’m sending mine back. 300 dollars to make the accelerator push more with less effort is a complete waste of money in my opinion. Not to mention the check engine light comes on with it and won’t go away. If this was 50 dollars I wouldn’t have a problem. 300 is way too much. Nice vid though. It sold me.

      We would recommend troubleshooting the issue with Sprint Booster USA directly. If the Engine light is on then the unit may not be working at all. You can always return the unit I'm sure Sprint Booster will have no issues with that but writing off a product without diagnosing the issue might not be the solution. We've installed hundreds of these in our shop and certain installations did require some technical help from Sprint Booster USA.

    It might be nice if the company who sells this actually had any sort of customer service. They do not respond to emails and never answer the phone. The voice-mail is always full and goes to a private persons voice-mail not a company voice-mail. The card is charged to a company called "johnston research"

    I was looking at the one and also the pedal commander ? Does it mess with your engine and transmission I seen where codes come up on the dash just want it to be safe for my 2019 runner thanks

      We have had no issues with our programming for the Toyota platforms and have been testing them for years with no apparent engine code errors appearing. We also back our product with a 3 year warranty.

      @@cedricmiller4370 Although there are many replica's of Sprint Boosters technology to attain a 1:1 ratio of response, what sets the Sprint Booster apart is its compact size, pedal lock and valet mode features, and the wide range of adjustability in one unit.

    Does this lower your gas mileage, or put more strain on the engine? How does it actually work, it just feeds more gas to the truck than it usually would for the amount you’re pressing the gas pedal? Forgive my ignorance... I have a 4runner and want to give it a boost but don’t want to kill gas mileage or lower the overall life of the vehicle.

      I have one on my Chevy Colorado and I love it. No loss of gas mileage. On the stock truck, when you hit the gas pedal, the throttle body opens slowly. With the Sprint Booster, the throttle body butterfly opens more quickly in response to gas pedal input, more like the mechanical throttle linkage of many years ago.

    Don’t understand how the door being open reset the computer

      It wont reset the ECU, its just a default function built into certain CAN equipped vehicles that allows auxillary bus to be reset. Some CAN protocols are different however so although this might work with Dodge trucks for example, it will not work for Lexus vehicles.

    The test was bogus you didn't start the truck in the same spot. You finished in the same spot though.

      Yea it definitely works and it’s not just for performance. When you need to just get one car ahead on highway on stock throttle you have to go past 70% throttle for it to do anything then you over compensate and it kicks down. With the sprint booster you just give it 8% throttle and it does what you would expect. Some people claim it saves gas this way however I drive too hard to notice that. When I’m towing a boat this problem just gets amplified.

    Pedal Commander is way better and adjustable and has been out longer

      This is the original and the race pro's choice because it is faster than others. Pedal Commander is a cheap knock-off that is overpriced for it's performance, cheaply made in Turkey and has useless gimmicks.

      You forgot the In My Humble Opinion because to make statements like that you need data and facts. If you do a comprehensive, scientific test of the 2 side by side I'd be more interested - otherwise.......
