Every Star Wars Video Game Ranked From WORST To BEST

- A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
LucasArts and other third party developers released a solid 100 Star Wars games over several decades. From the likes of Star Wars Arcade and Super Star Wars to more recent titles like Star Wars Battlefront 2, Star Wars: Squadrons and the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, there have been some real Krayt Dragon pearls hidden amongst some rather more scruffy-looking titles. Fortunately, we're here to separate the kyber crystals from the bantha poodoo. Here is every Star Wars video game ranked from worst to best.

What other franchises would you like us to rank from worst to best? How far down the list do you expect LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga to be when it comes out and dates this video horribly? Should EA stop making Star Wars games now that there's a nice round hundred? We want to hear all your thoughts!
Xbox exclusives but not limited to stuff like ‘Halo’, ‘Gears of War’ etc. ANYTHING that has been an exclusive to the Xbox Family since the first Xbox.
Skywalker Saga looks like a hearty 8th or 9th place
How about every Bethesda game?
Pls do all the game with gold for the xbox
Every Harry Potter game ranked from worst to best.
It's impressive that you were able to talk about Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles for 45 minutes.
Underrated comment
Can't wait for a person to top it with talking about the L button or something on 1+ hours
I love Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles on GBA and PS1
I think you mean 45 seconds.
I was like "this won't be that long" then they said number 100
2 hours well spent
@@Crazy_Gamer_OG yes
I’m guessing you somehow missed the obvious 1 hour 45 minutes on the screen
I literally thought it was a joke then I moused over the video to look at the length
He did them all!
Republic Commando was amazing and unique.
it deserved a sequel long ago. Deserves a remaster at least.
Unique ? Thats an average halo
I'm kind of disappointed that you never mentioned the fighting game aspect of Episode 3 on Xbox/PS2. It was the only reason I played it. They could've just made that a game in itself. Also, the OG Battlefront 2 should have been higher on this list. At least in the top 10. Other than that though, it was a great video and I enjoyed watching it.
Totally agree with you, Episode 3 for Xbox was great and also OG Battlefront 2, i still play it to this very day. Way better than EA's Battlefront
@@SoleilPhoenix thank you for being a fan. That was a tough development and we were forced to do it in less than a year.
The 1v1 fights in that game were fucking awesome.
I had a ton of fun with that game’s 1v1 mode and it still holds up well.
They also put the force unleashed way too low. This is a terrible list
I got Jedi Outcast and KotOR on the same Christmas. That was a hell of a day.
Indeed!
Man that puts the quality and amount of Star Wars games today in perspective
That's a got'em
You're a lucky man! I might have to replay those games soon lol
I asked for jedi outcast one Christmas and got KOTOR. not knowing what I had, I was disappointed. tried to play it once, got frustrated by what I thought were clunky controls (because turn based combat) and didn't touch it for several years... decided to give it another shot one day, realized my mistake and never looked back. amazing game. still play it every now and again.
I was going to study, but this seemed important.
Same, also I've played games shorter than this video.
I was gonna sleep but this seemed important
Same for medical school but this is important looking
Yea I was in the middle of a surgery but I got this notification so I had to break the news to the family
I didn't read the comment but I saw Micheal ❤️
Kudos for putting Rebellion as high as you did on the list! In my opinion one of the most underrated Star Wars games out there. Even as a child I had a deep appreciation for how complex the strategy portion was. Nothing super controversial from my perspective on the games I played either. KOTOR well deserves #1.
Agreed (although it's called Supremacy in my region) - I adored this game in my youth and got it again on Steam for really cheap. I still love it!
I kept waiting for it and waiting for it and was happy it was so high. I spent so much time with Rebellion as a kid with it on cd, plus I think another 100 hours with the Steam release.
Yes!!! I still play it today thanks to Steam!
It was also one of the few games that had so much content from the entire expanded universe
Yep agreed, Rebellion is really good. A game which combined the best parts of Rebellion and Empire at War is what I've always wanted. EAW improved a heap in terms of the battle/combat side of things but the galactic overview part didn't have anywhere near the scale and micromanagement that Rebellion's did.
I absolutely adored the GBA Revenge of the sith Game. I’m very happy it actually made it to the top 20, it looked great and the gameplay was buttery smooth and epic
Oh yeah, here we go; Star Wars time! I've never seen a Star Wars, but I'm going to give it everything I've got!
This is an underrated comment XD
Suuure you haven't Jar Jar
🙂
It's called the Force, Jedi. Look it up.
@matt fahringer ... K den
I actually loved *Battlefront 2 (2017)* but I bought it in mid 2018 for $6 so that's probably why.
Safe to say, it's really good now.
It's a really good game, they ranked it too low because of the micro-transaction debacle that hasn't been relevant for years
@matt fahringer cool story I guess
I also got it for $6. I enjoy the Single player game.
@@Icybubba I'm pretty sure they're just going off the metacritic score and then adding their own commentary as well.
I picked it up for the first time recently and by god it's become one of my favourite games. It's like old Battlefield and it's amazing.
“Attack of the Clones- the worst Star Wars movie ever made” -The Last Jedi would like to have a word with you.
"The Last Jedi is the worst Star Wars film" - The Rise of Skywalker wants you to hold it's beer.
I don’t know if it’s the best but Jedi Knight Jedi Outcast is probably the SW game I have the fondest memories of. Really filled that Jedi fantasy back then and putting g_saberrealistic combat into the console cranked up the dismemberment value made it that much more awesome. Was also the first time I got into modding of a sort. Custom maps for the multiplayer were really popular in that game.
My personal #1...just edging out KotOR.
It's the best. Even the demo is great, arguably better than any of the levels in the main game. And even though Jedi Survivor is a parry simulator I'd have to put it on 2nd, right above KotOR. The combat in KotOR is just way too trash but the story is almost as engaging as in Jedi Outcast.
Seeing Darth Vader get smacked only to immediately turn into a scorpion actually made me laugh out loud. Thanks for that
It really makes you FEEL like you aren't playing a star wars game
@matt fahringer then it isn't a star wars game. It's a game with a star wars paint slapped on it. I'm still correct by your definition.
“Luke, I am your father, and I’m also a fucking scorpion”
@@gbx4858 scorpion dad is best dad
The developer has since spoken on the reasoning behind Vaders Animorph lol
Battlefront II (2017) got much more than a little update. The game now is fantastic and worthy of the name for sure. All characters are unlocked, and tons of modes, maps, and even a campaign chapter were added for free.
Fantastic video, but you did my boy dirty, lol :)
Unfortunately some people will never give it a chance and actually see that it is far better compared to what it was.
I still prefer the og battlefronts
@Cyberpunks Witcher Should rank it on how it is now rather than what it is was at launch since its a multiplayer game dude
More of a multiplayer game than a singeplayer game people only touch the story mode once or twice than they play arcade or multiplayer so yes they should rank it how it is now since thats where most of the content is
@Cyberpunks Witcher It's absolutely how it should work. The antiquated idea of how games are at launch vs. how they evolve was left behind a generation ago.
EA battlefront 2 really changed with updates , the game launched as a cash grab , and became a great game with a lot of content and a strong community. It’s a real shame that EA moved all the devs to 2042.
Especially since 2042 was an absolute flop
@@time2shine919the same thing happened to 2042, both don't deserve any recognition
@@Ratchetti That's modern Gaming, y'know.....
That mission with the Falcon in Rebel Assault II was the first lesson I recieved in my childhood about frustration and anger management.
YES 🤣
Finally, a video about Star Wars games ranked from the worst one to the best one.
Now I need one for Lord of the Rings and I'm a happy lad.
I want jurassic park mario tomb raider Harry Potter zelda guitar hero/rock band aliens series the predator series they all have so many games that could be ranked.
Here to see how high my boy Jedi Academy is.
Edit: Number 6 baby. It will always be number 1 in my heart though. I still play the multiplayer to this day.
One of my defining childhood games. I played it so many times back in the day and never got tired of it.
On my way to seeing jedi outcast, i had already poured 1000s of hours into it before jka released, those online communities were amazing though
Lol your boy that's funny man
Campaign was merely alright. MP was definitely where it was at with JKA. Not to say that Outcast didn't start this epic train in the first place, but JKA's multiplayer made it mostly redundant. Our clan still hops on and plays it sometimes to this day.
I will say this though. Jedi Outcast's and Jedi Academy's guns feel pathetic, especially compared to Dark Forces II's. I daresay that if you're using anything except the saber, rocket launcher, or maybe the sniper, you're wasting your time.
@@arnox4554 absolutely agree, we went back to outcast however and didn't stay on academy's online, I preferred the CTF scene on outcast. Definitely the weapons on jk were far more effective than the following two games, it was closer to quake 2 than the follow ups were to quake 3
I quite enjoyed this. I set it up and watch it on loop until i fall sleep. I apreciate no loud noises on the sound mix.
Good list! Was happy to see that you put Rebellion/Supremacy so high, it deserves it. It may look simple but there's so much detail and scale in that game.
This list is only about 20 minutes shorter than the run time of Empire Strikes Back.
The more you know
There is soooooo much I dont agree with in this video. However. I appreciate you making this and I enjoyed watching every minute!
I have a feeling they make these to make people angry
@@Rei322 or its just their opinion
@matt fahringer sorry my fault I should be punished for my sins
@matt fahringer yes they are very quiet opinions
@matt fahringer lol
Passive aggressive , overly sarcastic … and didn’t know what you were talking about most of the time . Great vid
Everything about this video just hits, music, commentary, content. Thank you for amazing videos!
Darth Vader turning into a scorpion for some reason is one of the stupidest, awesomest, best worst ideas ever.
The AVGN reaction to it is priceless!
They always put weird animals in games back then I've noticed. Like mario land for gb.
You missed something incredibly important on the revenge of the sith tie in game. Its the single best star wars fighting game. The multiplayer (can be played against bots) fighting mode is amazing.
Exactly!!!
What number did it end up at? I was scrolling through and missed it. It’s by far, my favorite Star Wars game of all time

1 of your best videos! Now do a version of the video for the Harry Potter Games & The Lord Of The Rings Games! 😍
1999: "HEY, lets make Anakin children's game for our Star Wars children's movie!"
2005: *Anakin murders children*
Ah, murdered children in 2003, too.
He didn’t mention Star Wars: episode III’s ARCADE MODE where u could do 1v1 fights!!!
@Ben Shapiro”hypothetically if u were to play Star Wars, let’s just say for the argument u were to, it would in-fact be lit”
As someone who grew up with the Phantom Menace PS1 game, ranking it above Revenge of the Sith and The Force Unleashed is nothing short of laughable.
Oh man the nostalgia of this video is just amazing. I love it. Thank you for this :)
I pretty much agree with this list, but for me Battlefront 2 Classic is the definitive star wars experience. It has lightsaber and force power action, memorable ground skirmishes and epic space battles and to top it all, Galactic Conquest.
The game is still very much alive with online servers and insanely good modding community.
Yes but it was missing one thing that was important, a grand story set in the Star Wars Universe :)
Battlefront 2 Classic is decently number 2 for me after KOTOR.
And the mods are amazing
@@hayatojin2886 surely if you look at it from narrative perspective. I'm playing kotor 1 & 2 on switch atm 🙂. Great re-releases!

I would actually love to see that
@matt fahringer there are 30 plus of them actually
Yes please!
@@eliasstubbs2593 Dreams do come true.
I think Fallen Order deserves more credit than it’s given. It’s a beautiful game and interesting enough. It’s just that the story hasn’t been fleshed out enough. But I’m very interested in Cal Kestis
Really impressive edit. The storytelling and engagement of the Katarn Trilogy keep it at no1.
Currently enjoying Fallen Order.
If Favreau and Filoni get into game design though, I’d get divorced.
It kinda feels like the Battlefront 2 (2017) entry was written by someone who played it on release day and never played it again, and that the Squadrons entry was written by someone who just doesn't care about it and has never played it.
agreed.
@@xxdrumtardikxx I agree as well
I understand there's a lot of games to get through but a lot of these ranks miss the whole point of some of the games and their key features. Can't really rank much off base level play time
Squadrons was rad
Battlefront 2 (2005) better be at the top 3. I never get tired of that legendary game
Best Star wars game ever.
I think I'll buy that on steam today it's only $5. That was a good one.
Right?!?!?! I was... very unhappy with it's placement
WATCH THOSE WRIST ROCKETS!!!
Its good, but i much prefer the original. I was never a fan of adding the jedis
Love how this man just casually talks over Chewbacca shooting boba fetts jet pack, setting him on fire, pulling out the bolt and stabbing Boba with it. Good god THIS WAS A CHESS GAME
Awesome video. Such great content. Loved playing Shadows of the empire on N64. That Hoth battle was great. Also Star Wars Dark forces for PS1.
The Force Unleashed is far too low, especially since most of the things over it are unplayable
I was a massive fan of the story and the gameplay wasn’t as bad as they made it out to be..
I was a huge fan of God of War at the time too so if you’re not a fan of that “hack and slash/ hit x when we tell you to” genre I could see why people wouldn’t like it.
And I always wondered ‘how did the rebellion form?’ I thought the writers did an excellent job doing this in a way that makes sense in canon. (Not an easy thing to do)
It was way better for the PlayStation 2 and Wii, the gameplay is so much more fun and they included extra levels from the Jedi temple
Exactly! That and definitely ROTS
I think it's an overexaggeration to say "most," but it definitely should be higher
how is Battlefront 2015 so high???????? HOW DID THEY RANK THESE
New Battlefront II needs a revisit. After getting rid of paying for loot boxes it deserves a much higher place
I actually very much enjoyed Yoda Stories - as well as Indiana Jones and His Desktop Adventures - for the PC, not the GBC. I got them both at the same time, when I was 9 or 10 in 2000. I remember as there’s “new millennia” memories attached to those memories around that time. I think for a young kid, they’re not _that bad_ but, I should probably try to replay them and see what I think now that I’m 31!
I have become addicted to your channels exhaustive videos; Your writers sense of humor is wonderful. God help me!
There was a typo for The Force Unleashed. You guys had it at 60 and not 6.
I'd EASILY trade its position with Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.
AGREED
,Yes I agree played it on 360 and the DLC playing as Luke was fantastic too, also you got to play as Darth Vader easily the best of the 3rd person 3d action games including fallen order which is a badly optimised mess on PC.
I think TFU is pretty bad.
@@PeixeKing no u
Battlefront 2. Hundreds if not thousands of hours into it and the turn around that game did is beyond insane.
the pandemic one?same here
Yeah, sadly it won't be remembered for what it is now. EA did Pandemic dirty!
And it's objectively better than the first new Star Wars Battlefront now. It deserved all the criticism it got when it released just as now it deserves all the praise it gets from people who actually take the time to try it.
@@kikiphallin Completely agree. Was a mess when it came out but left as something special.
Duuuuude BF2 2017 is a masterpiece now, Top 3 favourite SW games.
You done revenge of the sith dirty here, i know its quite a simple, easy game. But the fact it had the optional ending for Anakin to be the guy to com out on top with obi wans death was such a cool aspect of the game. Aswell as you could 1v1 if you played 2 player, always slaughtered my brother as Anakin lol
Boushh is the name of the bounty hunter Leia was pretending to be while trying to rescue Han from Jabbas palace.
Ah man the force unleashed rated so low. I consider force unleashed to be at least top 50.
They were probably going off the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC releases of the game. It’s by far my favorite Star Wars game for the PS2. The gameplay was so much better on that system and the wii version. It’s practically a completely different game in comparison

@@DrEcho yeah I hadn’t watched that far when I commented. The game is still in my top 10 favorite Star Wars games.
Lmao
Star Wars Battlefront 2 for the PS2 was the height of my childhood. I attribute my love for video games specifically to that game.
facts
I absolutely adore the “Super” Star Wars games. Love them, this makes me want to fire it up on my SNES right now lol
I actually enjoyed Jedi Academy quite a bit. It was the right game at the right time. I was really getting into Star Wars as a franchise and just cool movies. It was a barebones game with a simple story that was mainly an excuse to visit other planets and fight. It's like a one trick pony that knows how to do its trick so well it doesn't get old.
Jedi Outcast has the better story, but Jedi Academy has the better gameplay. More force powers. More lightsaber combos. More enemy and location variety.
How is the clone wars lightsaber duels for the Wii ranked higher then the force unleashed?
I’m just wondering because I’ve played both and the Wii game is just not good and I’m not saying the force unleashed is perfect but it’s at the very least better then that Wii game
@@alexbattams6068 in my opinion, this might be because it wasn't as competitive as the other action adventure RPGs. I think games like God Of War and TloZ: Twilight Princess are more fleshed out as far as combat and environment are concerned.
Plus, Starkiller is a bit of a male Mary Sue: he gets SO powerful SO fast in an universe where even Sidious, the most powerful Force user of the universe, had to train DECADES to master a single technique. Still, game was a lot of fun and I loved using the full extent of the Dark Side. I would've ranked it a bit higher too.
Because force unleashed wasn't very good. You play it once and never go back. I remember how ridiculously easy that game was even on hard mode.
@@shaymorcormick8743 actually this is the most accurate comment about force unleashed I remember thinking holy shit this game is incredible to never pick it up for like 8 years tried it again and I was like ehh
Great video! Loved the jokes and references, and Peter's impressions of Palpatine. However, I was surprised by how low The Force Unleashed games were ranked, and was aghast to see that Battlefront 2 for PS2 didn't even make top 10, when I was so certain that it would be one of the contenders for the top spot.
Agreed
I also agree. I have always been a fan of the movies, but never really into the games. I am not a PC player so never got played these games. Friends tried to get me to enjoy them, however to me ( just my opinion) playing with a keyboard and mouse is completely annoying and takes you out of the game. Too many buttons and not enough control. I understand it's a rather unpopular opinion, but it is mine. It wasn't until the lego then force unleashed that I started to enjoy star wars games. There is just too much to these PC games like Kotor, I didn't have the time or patience at the time to play those types.
I used to have Star Wars Rebellion a long time ago. Being a guy who is more into the strategic aspects of warfare (I'm not good at it, I just like that aspect more), I thought the game was a blast! Winning planets to your cause via diplomacy, building the right number of mines and refineries, keeping that total up so you could maintain your forces, exploration for a good system to eventually build your new superweapon, that was a fun game.
It's not for everyone. But if you are like me, give it a go. I'm glad you guys gave it the love I think it deserves (#13). I might not have rated it above the SNES Star Wars and Empire, but it is definitely a game worth playing.
Republic commando is still to this day, my favorite video game. I played it again when they brought it to ps4 and then beat it a 2nd time on hard. I'd love to see more of delta squad
I respect the hell out of these lists. The amount of time that has to go into researching, actually ranking, writing, recording, and editing is absolutely insane. This is your biggest list yet, and I think it’ll be a difficult one to top, at least, in terms of sheer length. I will always enjoy watching these things all the way through, and I hope you guys keep making them. Still waiting to see you guys rank every Mortal Kombat character to find out if Mokap ranks above or below Bo Rai Cho. In any case, I hope the team at Triple Jump keeps up the incredible work with videos like these. I look forward to the next one!
Disagree, it seems very surface level.
@@Clay3613 Okay, that’s fair, but I’m willing to cut them some slack for the fact that this whole thing was written by one guy and that there were 100 games he had to cover. Could they have gone deeper? Perhaps, but I will give them credit for going as deep as they did.
Nah dude I dont agree with him. STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT 2 IS WORSE THAN THE FRST ON LIKE TF! If he knew how good the game is now and saw the redemption of the game then he would put this game higher than the first. sure the start wasn't so good with the micro transactions but then they put Ani Obi Grevuos and dooku plus two clone wars maps, They also did stuff for the rise of skywalker movie! SO SHUT UP. sorry I'm just a little mad that game got me into SW so I'm a little sad people cant see how good it is now
@@guruzilla5163 I don’t know why you’re mad at me. I had nothing to do with this video. And like, you liking it is not a problem. I feel its place was more based on what the game represented at its launch with EA’s cynical intentions when it first launched, rather than how it played. If you like it, more power to you, I’m glad you like it. But this is a subjective list written by one guy, and he had to cover 100 of these things, so there were bound to be some things everyone disagreed with. And yelling at random people in the comments because you disagree is not a good look.
@@michaelanderson6394 I love Peter and Ben and they do a fantastic job. I’ve watched this list many times it’s actually really relaxing. And I’ve purchased a number of games as a result of this list.
I do agree that they messed it with Battlefront 2. It should be near the top. 2017? Definitely not. But 2020? Absolutely.
Also Squadrons was way too low
I think you’re a little harsh on the new Battlefront II. They really removed a lot of the Micro-transactions and within a year it was a completely different, well playing game and extremely fun.
I couldn't believe it was below the first EA Battlefront game. It's better in every way now and has been for a long time. I agree it was terrible on launch, but they did a huge amount to fix it (because they had to because of high profile it became)
@@Keanine It’s extremely commendable what they did.
Even by the time this video released, BF2 finished it’s content releases and it was SOOOO good by the time the devs finished working on the game. I don’t think these guys actually played the game tbh
Thank you for appreciating Rebellion/Supremacy. It was my introduction to more advanced strategy games, and there weren't a lot of games with that kind of complexity in the late 90s. I'll take ambitious-but-janky over polished-but-safe anyday.
15:27 - I beg your pardon?! 15:57 Damn. Caught out before I finished writing lol
I really enjoyed the force unleashed 1 and 2, probably wouldnt as much if they came out now but back then, the story was cool and you had never gotten to use force powers like that before. Number 1 in my heart.
Facts!!!
The force unleashed is the main reason i bought a ps3 back then... it was a lot of fun for me definitely not the 60th spot in my list...
They are a slog to get through though, very repetitive and super boring.
You pull a star destroyer out of space! That alone. Made it amazing. Replayed recently and it was still fun.
@@hayatojin2886 i wouldn’t go as far as boring, especially the first game, but linear and one dimensional for sure.
I think the Force Unleashed 2 gets a lot of undeserved hate. Was it as good as the first one? No, but it was still entertaining, and in my opinion, should still make it to the top 20, and the first one is in my top ten.
Same. Really sad to see it so low. Maybe objectively it isnt so good but goddammit me as a kid loved it and played it just as much as I played the first game. Still love it
Agreed. I rarely play games through more than once, but I've been recently replaying both Force Unleashed games. They should both at least be in the top HALF of this list, if not top 20. These reviewers seem to prefer vehicle games though. Pod racing and Tie Fighters over Lightsabers and Force. I'm the opposite.
TFU has many flaws that got never improved, other games are much better at what they do and at being a good SW experience. You can enjoy the way the force works in TFU but that doesn't fix how unplayable the game sometimes can be.
@@JambelBandel It obviously isn’t unplayable at any times to them
@@JambelBandel can’t be that unplayable I completed both games multiple times maybe you need to git gud
I was actually a contractor working as a GM or as they called it CSR for Star Wars Galaxies for a while until SOE decided it was cheaper to largely move their in game CS team to India. I remember getting another contract in the same building, so when their Rage of the Wookies expansion came out all of the sudden there was an all hands call for anyone who had GM experience to come down and help because people in droves were falling through the world and needed to be rescued lol! So much potential wasted trying to compete with WoW.
in my opinion the problem wasnt that they tried to compete with wow,... they tried to be wow....when they patched the classes out, and made everything "like" wow...that was the straw that broke the camels back....i mean its been a few years but what was it.. 36 or something like that classes down to 12?
Fallen order was one of the best star wars game I’ve ever played. I loved every second of it. Can’t wait for the sequel and eclipse.
Okay, you lot have clearly not played Battlefront 2 since it came it. The microtransactions are comepletely gone, the gameplay is good and it's actually fun to play
Hurray, it's the game it should've been 3 years ago. I think its ranking is appropriate, considering the maelstrom of problems that both EA and the game had in 2017 alone.
@@MrHawkelement its been a good game since about 2018, you dont say that no mans sky is a bad game becuase they fixed it. Yes you need to take i to account that if wasnt good from launch but its a incredible game now. And you need to take into account ghat aswell
@@josepy_2156 Games like that live and die on their multiplayer, so launch and first impressions are extremely important, because many people don't care if it gets patched; They want what they paid for on launch, which has affected the player numbers of Battlefront 2. If I promise to give you a chocolate candy on the first of December, and instead, you're given a wrapper with chocolate stains, but then three years later, I try to give you a chocolate again, saying "No, I swear this time!" Some will accept it, some don't much want chocolate anymore, because they wanted it 3 years ago.
@Tom FfrenchI Personally don’t stand for games that go “Oh don’t worry about the state of the game now, we’ll patch it later.”. If the developers are going to be that lazy and cheap with their games and prefer to just things issues later, should not deserve my money regardless of how good the game is now. All it does is just encourage other developers to take the cheap and lazy route of game development and testing.
Just because I can't smell the wine coming from the carpet doesn't mean the awful stain isn't there.
Its principle at this point. I have a friend who has tried to get me to play it, says the microtransactions are gone, its fun, mostly balanced, real dopamine hit.
But im not going to support a game that had the audacity to be made with the sole purpose of squeezing as much money as possible from every single one of its players. Even if the game itself has changed, EA hasn't. The bulk of their money comes from pack openings for FIFA, a recycled copy and pasted game every year that relies on fans spending tons of money in a virtual slot machine to get the best players. Crazy how that's still going on, today, all approved by EA.
For Revenge of the Sith you forgot to mention the dueling multiplayer! That was actually the only part of the game I remember because it was more of fighting game. Good work on the list btw 👍
I wonder how many people appreciated and caught all the double entendres in Republic Commando, done on purpose, or not. One of the best reviews, in my opinion.
You could even hear how it was impossible to stop the double entendres, even when they hit the next entry, Battlefront.
The beat switch at 42:49 is epic 🤣
Some of these ratings and reviews were random and puzzling, but I forgive you for making the correct choice on number one.
Right, well, that's my evening sorted. Cheers lads!

"I'm joking, of course."
Had me laughing!!
-Puts BF2 low for having microtransactions (which it removed, and also had free DLC expansion packs)
-Puts BF1 high even though it also had paid DLC
Just sitting here and waitng for Knights of the Old Republic...
BTW I quite enjoyed Yoda Stories demo back in the days.
Think the demo worked better than the full release. It was cute!
I think the part they are not quite getting is that Yoda Stories wasn't designed for long sessions. It was a small program meant to be a quick boredom killer at the office etc. Sorta like how people play solitaire.
@@DrLeatherface Words of wisdom, you've just said DraLeatherface ;)
I enjoyed yoda stories.

@@hta1803 Except for Dead Souls because there's a reason why it hasn't been remade or remastered yet
Yes! So glad Jedi Outcast ranks so high, such a great story-driven single player experience, great lightsaber battles too!
Is Star Wars Monopoly for Windows 2000 here? I remember playing it, it of course was all narrated by Anthony Daniels. And every time you rolled the dice it would take at least 40 seconds to show a super compressed clip from one of the films (this was before episode 1 came out)
I feel like it does bf2 2018 a disservice to not mention all of the post launch love it received. Dice seemingly really put their heart into fixing the game, and I would argue they did a wonderful job. From removing the pay to win microtransactions to reworking and tweaking the game play systems to be less grindy and more fun. Along with a whole heap of content on the way. Its just a shame that E.A pulled the plug on the game this year.
Its more than a disservice. This was an outright lie about the games current state. Either they were so butt hurt that they never returned to the game after launched. Or they simply ignored all of the good DICE did, just to air out their grievances
Agreed. I find it was disheartening to knock the game down solely on the lootbox controversy over other concepts that they use to grade games (graphics, environment, content, game gameplay, etc.).
@@alex_spartan1805 Still one of the best looking and best sounding games of last generation
Only 20 minutes shorter than watching A New Hope!
But I would never watch ANH at 3x speed and enjoy it.
My Personal "Top-5": 1) Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast; 2) Knights of the Old Republic; 3) Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II/Mysteries of the Sith; 4) Battlefront II (classic); and 5) Republic Commando.
P.S. A special "honorable mention" goes to Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords (with the Restored Content Mod installed).
Star Wars has actually had pretty good games compared to the majority of Licensed games out there. Star Wars Kinect is criminally underrated. It is a great dance game with Wierd Al level parodies and the emperor participating in a dance battle. That is hilarious. Yes other parts of the game are basically unplayable but there is some real fun to be had.
Agree! The dance battles are straight up hilarious. It's overall not good by a long shot but watching clips of it cracks me the hell up.
Oh yeah, here we go, LONG LIST TIME!!
I know that the Battlefront 2 microtransactions are wrong but as someone who didn't buy any, I think the game is actually pretty good
yup i like it too
I like it too but as someone who has a spending problem, it's really annoying having microtransactions in every game
@@sydneytomlinson if it's just cosmetic like in Battlefront 2 I'm fine with it in my opinion
@@sydneytomlinson I definitely agree with you. Thankfully I didn't play a lot at the beginning and didn't feel the need to buy anything

Star Wars Dark Forces in a nice respectful place. Loved that game growing up. Really felt like an adventure, the level design was varied quite a bit
Amazing video!! Extremely detailed wow very high props to you, only one game however I think you missed, and it's Star Wars The Old Republic Mmo Rpg, also made by Bioware and EA
Battlefront 2 is insanely low. It feels like you haven't picked it up since it first came out. They have made dozens of changes & have built a great game that doesn't require any microtransactions whatsoever. Feels like you all just hit on the same cliche points about the game. Shame.
The game is good now but it launching that way is just unacceptable
@Patrick Bannerman Wait how do you compare games and movies lmao
I was looking for this comment! Sure BF2 was horrible at release but DICE did a lot of work to make it the good game it is today. Also Episode III and the original force unleashed are one of my all time favorite ps2 era games
@@mattmortar1325 On the day before release, EA disabled microtransactions entirely, citing players' concerns that they gave buyers unfair advantages. They stated their intent to reintroduce them at a later date after unspecified changes had been made.
They were never re-introduced, the complaints came from the beta, so this affected 0 players who paid for the game.
@@mattmortar1325 yeah but pretty much every game is released like that these days, you can't blame them for that. Blame the entire industry

Just gonna put this out there - if Gary Kasparov did play chess with a bunch of mini Gary Kasparov pieces, that would be incredible. We have the technology, it would be fun as hell, and it's not illegal, so let's do it
Even though it is an "expansion pack", Mysteries of the Sith is an excellent stand-alone game. Being able to play as Mara Jade was so much fun.
All these children whining that Force Unleashed was too low...only real ones know about Mara Jade and Kyle Katarn. Those Jedi games are classic.
@@Rschr101most people complaining about that are late 20s early 30s so you're a clown
EA Battlefront 2 should be higher. Yeah the launch was horrific but man did it bounce back strong.
No template. Just LucasArts telling us we had to get the game done in less than a year. BTW, the game's not just "walking down narrow corridors" and it actually has a fight game in it that blows Terra Kasi out of the water, but thanks for the coverage!
Peters voice sounds like if Jack Sparrow was actually a nobleman and not a drunken pirate
I actually kinda like Squadrons. It's so much fun in vr and its cheap. Its also getting more content as time will pass.
Have you guys not played Battlefront 2 now? It’s a freaking blast and not a single microtransaction in sight!

I'm sure that is true, but the game became the poster boy for why EA is terrible. At this point, it is what it is famous, and it will be the game's legacy. If that pisses you off . . . good! Make sure to let EA know how mad you are at them foe destroying the game's reputation in order to prey on whales.
The top two choices are right, switchable dependant on mood :) KOTOR defo a more chilled, varied and immersive experience with a good storyline, with Outcast giving a great action experience with awesome Jedi powers in real-time. Decent story as well, but more of a straight line than KOTOR. Outcast was tough though; Level 2 get your Lightsabre, cut through your enemies with ease for a short while. Then hop out on a ledge and almost instantly get cut in half by snipers which use some weapon Lightsabres don't block. Forces you to use guns again and not for the only time.
Yoda Stories on PC is one of my most nostalgic childhood games, so I'm just happy to see it mentioned, bottom of the list or not 😋
NGL, that "number 100" is really surprised me, then i look at the video duration
Had KotR at #1 going in, wasn’t surprised when it topped the list. That game is my favorite piece of Star Wars media - movies, games, shows, etc.
It’s kinda sad there hasn’t been more Star Wars RPGs especially considering it’s fanbase.
I've got a personal preference of kotor2 above the first but I love them both so dearly
@matt fahringer they are old games. It's worth checking out if you can get past the dated mechanics and poor streamlining. The storys are great though and replay ability is high
