I attempted carving a frozen cake! I wanted to make a magic winter wonderland cake with gorgeous simple snowflakes made of frosting. I used an Italian meringue icing recipe to frost the cake in layers of pink purple and blue. Then used clay carving tools to turn a simple cake into a beautiful frozen birthday cake. Watch how to do it yourself!

Not sure if anyone commented on why the blue colour changed, but it's because the touch up icing was given time to develop in colour! :) But gorgeous designs, I got the pottery carving tools too and I'm pretty excited to start trying some designs!
You should turn all the left over scraps into desserts and drop them off at your local homeless shelters. You would make their day!

Ya, I found the huge waste of cake kind of cringey. Those domes are avoidable by using cake strips, and you can easily cut each of those layers in half, and freeze half of them for a whole 'nother cake creation.
At my local shelters you can’t donate homemade or unpackaged food or any type or products unfortunately
I've been trying to teach myself how to bake for quiet a while now and I've not been good, but watching your videos restores my faith in baking. You inspire me a lot and I wanted to thank you for that ♥️

This is so cool!! I’ve heard if you bake the cakes at a lower temperature for longer it helps reduce the dome on top!!

Amazing handmade cake design !!
Reminds me of the town Pyrgi in Greece. This is similar to the technique they used to carve the decorations on all the buildings (except with white on black plaster obviously the town isn't made of buttercream unfortunately)

This cake looks really tasty and she did such a good job with the curving but I thing that the layers of cake are a bit too thick and there is very little buttercream between them. Also I didn't see her use any simple syrup to get some moisture in those cakes so aren't they going to be a bit dry? I'm not trying to hate and I'm definitely not an expert. I'm just really curious cause what she did is different from what I'm used to making or seeing other people make. Anyway the overall result looks delicious so keep up the good work.😄

Have you ever tried those cake bands? They keep the outside of the pan cool so the cake cooks more evenly and the outside doesn’t brown much or get much of a dome
