This week I am combining two cake trends to make an epic colorful cake. We will be tiering three cakes using my vanilla cake recipe and my American buttercream recipe. I coloured the cake a beautiful tiffany blue teal and painted the edge of my icing using gold luster edible dust. After marbling my frosting I used my piping bag to pipe really easy gorgeous Russian piping tip flowers using my favorite piping nozzles. To create a simply stunning cake perfect for baby showers or bridal showers. This cake would even make the perfect center piece for a birthday party!

I love this raw style of video! It’s really helpful if you go to recreate it to see the process and the bumps and the uncertainty in action. A lot of baking videos pretend they just birthed it so easily and then you feel like a failure when it doesn’t work out. Thank you and love the video and the cake!!

Is it just me or do you get kinda sad when she takes of the caramelization? In my opinion the caramelization is the tastiest part of the cake! I just hope she uses the cake humps for something

I always loved baking since I was young, but then I went to school for other subjects. Then one day when I was watching RUclips videos (and supposed to do hw) I was like, “I know I can do this!”. Then I ended up going to culinary school instead and it was the best decision of my life!

Good look I've always wanted to have my own bakery too after a lottttttt of persistence and hard work i finally made enough money at the farmers market and built up my reputation to get my own bakery (i live in ireland btw, so i don't know if you have farmers market where you're from but anyway) so if a broke 13 year old can do then so can you

I absolutely appreciate that you use icing instead of fondant. My mom decorated cakes as a side business my entire childhood, as did my aunt professionally, and they made gorgeous cakes with no fondant.
I'm teaching my daughter how to frost and ice as well. She's 12 and we are addicted to making our own sprinkle mixes but we also have gotten into the flooding techniques with royal icing.
Our friends and neighbors love our experiments LOL
So glad people like that still exist in the business. Anytime I see a beautiful cake that was made largely with fondant I get so disappointed. The stuff is easy to sculpt and holds it's shape well but what is the point if it tastes gross?
That would look amazing as a geode/crystal filled fault line cake with the crystals having the same color crystals as the icing and then an ombré affect in the layers of crystals. You are very talented.

I love the cake it's completely beautiful you've done it just like I saw it done before the very first fault line cake done by Cakes by Lynz. to me it makes more sense when you're doing a fault line to have a smaller cake in the middle so that you can do a nicer floor design and not worried that it's going to get scraped off. I hope what I'm saying makes sense to you I'm just so happy to see you back and happy and in your new home I am so happy for you. I guess that's a lot of Happy's LOL. Keep on caking.and if you ever feel like buying another new home I'll be glad to take the one you have off your hands LOL free of charge LOL 😜a recent widow with children doesn't have a lot to give except for my undying love and support I've loved you from the beginning you were the very first cake artist I ever saw. you took my grief and turned it into something that I could look forward to doing creating something from just a few ingredients and making a beautiful cake. After watching this video, I saw a bunch of other fault line cake videos recommended to me, and I genuinely feel that you had the loveliest idea in terms of color scheme and inner flower design. It's the perfect mix of elegance and bright color. Just so beautiful and lively and fun.

I'm new to your channel but I'm happy I found you! I love the cake, I didn't think I would like the gold on it but it's not bad. I was thinking maybe put the gold around the bottom too?
By no means a baking, cake decorating, or color expert myself, but I was thinking maybe if it was a less yellow shade of gold it might would have looked better. Not sure about if better or not with only the middle gold or adding the bottom. I do like that she didn't smooth down the "peaks" on the top. Definitely gave a geological/geode vibe. A flower-filled geode.
