Merry ALMOST Christmas!!! What's your favorite Holiday tradition?? Thanks so much to Intel for sponsoring this video! Learn more here: intel.ly/3BcBovN #IntelEvo #IntelAmbassador #ad
Our favorite tradition is bringing out ornaments that have been handed down from generations and talking about family that we miss and sharing funny stories about them. That instills a sense of family in our children and let’s them know that even relatives that they never met always knew that they would be a part of our family one day and they saved ornaments for them. Just a fun flashback- a time of reflection. ❤️ Merry Christmas!!
You should order a cake from a bakery and say it’s for a video and then have one of your friends order a cake with the same budget and category and compare them. I think it would be interesting to see if they only make you special cakes because it’s going on RUclips. 😂
@@jasperclydeinsd592 But even if they did, what difference does it makes for them? She never says who is it from so if the cake is amazing it wont get credit or get people buying from them, the same way, ifthe cake sucks, they wont lose clients for it.
The baker who made the reindeer one really went above and beyond! But I really think the Santa cake deserves more credit. The palette and the way he's designed match the way *I* visualise the Christmas spirit, whatever that means, the best! Although to be honest, the spinning sleigh is probably what would grab my attention if I looked at them in a shop. I guess this means they're all great!
Austrian here we actually put cookies and Candie especially gingerbread on the tree for decorating and to have something to snack on so the second cake could be inspired by traditions like ours
@@MissLisaSwann Mississippi, USA here. My grandparents and great grandparents put salt cookies, real candy canes, popcorn, cranberries and dried citrus fruits, too! yeah, i can see why she wouldnt want to advertise like, a 1 star bakery she orders to see how bad her cake is from, but at a certain point youre just using other peoples work for content.

@@realemaskye286i agree that she should advertise them, but tbh i wouldn't argue abt it being immoral not to considering the numbers she's paying for these cakes.. they're hers now, she can use them for whatever she wants
The santa does make sense - In a lot of countries they bake gingerbread cookies for the tree, so the cute little cabinet is a cute piece of furniture in Santa's lounge room where his tree is. I know everyone is going to vote for the drunken reindeer, but my favourite is the North Pole with Santa flying around.
The baking Santa has fabric looking gingerbread men on his apron, hat and tree. Then he has a cookie in the bag. The cookie is thicker than the fabric ones and doesn't have the bumped up look. The candy canes are on the tree and in cookie form on the cupboard. It's like he made cookies to match his tree decor. That's my interpretation anyway.
I thought the same thing! It's clear that the apron has a textural pattern throughout. And the Santa eyes were beautiful. But I liked the last cake the best because it was whimsical, perfectly executed (no reliance on cotton candy), and embellished throughout. But I wouldn't turn down any of those cakes - or a taste of each flavor!
You guys have never baked cookie ornaments? You're not supposed to eat them but they have that cookie smell it's amazing!! You should do a video and try it.
You CAN absolutely eat gingerbread tree ornaments. I make and sell them. But you can only hang them on your tree for a week or two otherwise they will go soft and stale. There is no reason why you can't save them for future years but obviously they will not be edible.
@Carol Luscombe The ones I've made you can't eat. But they still smell like gingerbread and you don't have to worry about the kids or pets eating all of the ornaments off your tree lmao
The reindeer one’s filling was so creative, not only the eggnog but the funfetti - like he’s celebrating the start of his holidays with confetti-type thing! So creative!
I love these videos. I don’t think I will ever get sick of them! The third cake is my absolute favorite, but, in Santa’s defense, if you need a backstory, my take on it is… Santa is at home baking his favorite cookies and decorating his tree, and he’s in his living room so the beautiful chest makes sense. He just put the candy canes down on the chest while he was working on his tree. P. S. You and Kevin are obviously perfectly matched. His absolute calm versus your anxiety are so cute. You both crack me up! 😂
So sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad this year too. When my brothers and I were kids we always wanted Dad to be Santa for his company 's family Christmas party. Hugs
You're getting a vote for "Baking Santa" from me. For the record, we have an edible tree every year, and gingerbread cookies are frequently used as decorations for Christmas trees.
My parents had a baked gingerbread ornament that one of my older siblings made in school. Last time I smelled it I could still get hints of the spices they used, and I'm 32. Baked gingerbread ornaments are absolutely a thing.
This is the best cake off i have seen so far!! They all brought their A game here! I loved every single one of them and was shocked at how creative they were
Ginger bread ornaments are totally a thing lol, just made them today actually!😂 1 cup cinnamon 3/4 cups applesauce 1/4 cup glue and any added spices for smell😊
Okay, the last cake does it for me, it’s everything and more. It’s like you asked for a Christmas gift. Didn’t think you were gonna get it and then got something better.😂
The reindeer cake is absolutely amazing. It has to be the best cake I've seen! The first one...nope. the second cake had a good story behind it but wasn't executed correctly. The reindeer cake made my day.
Growing up my mom would bake gingerbread cookies with us kids and we would hang them on the tree like ornaments. Whenever we wanted a treat we would just grab one from the tree. Definitely doing that with my future kiddos!
Loved this video! I'm so glad you are back Laurie and that you had a good vacation. Can you show us the third cake being cut and all of them being deconstructed?
Santa, cake #2, is definitely selling those cookies (or gingerbread ornaments lol)! Maybe saying $2, maybe asking if they want 2. The "baking station" is totally his stand for selling them! Wish the cotton candy had stayed put, but it is a stunner!
The 3rd baker is the absolute BEST!! And so are YOU!! ❤❤❤ Thank you for taking TIME for YOU! SELF-CARE is vital to success!! I love these cakes so much! Sweet Archie!! I’m a dog mom to 5 -yes 5!!!- Doodles and they are the best!
These are sooo cool! Would’ve loved to see a deconstructed version of each cake - like, how did they get the infuser to feed through so many parts of the cake?? 👀
I was SO excited to see a new video from you pop up! And a CHRISTMAS one!!!! YAAAAAAY!! Welcome back!!!! Glad you took a much deserved rest. It was hard to wait, but you are worth it, for sure! And those cakes are unreal!! They were all great in their own way, but the drunken reindeer literally had me laughing out loud! The steam, the reinbeer, the calendar and slippers--so many touches that just kept me giggling. Glad the flavor lived up to the design. And your reactions are just the best; just kept the laughter going here! Love you guys! ❤🎄❤
I agree with you because if obviously Santa is baking so his "baking stand" should have a rolling pin, flour on the surface but powdered sugar to give the resemblance of flour and maybe even some utensils, a small pan. All could be made from molding chocolate. I just feel like it was a missed opportunity but still amazing.
Santa was my favorite as far as what I would like for a celebration. For story, I loved the world one with Santa flying around. For technique and overall wow factor, the reindeer hot tub was phenomenal.
All 3 of these cakes are beautifully done, but my favorite is also the reindeer cake! 😋 I wish I could taste it as I do like eggnog, but only a small glass. Actually a glass of eggnog with some liquor in it sounds really good right now. Thank you for this video! This series is my favorite no matter what holiday it is. You and Kevin make the videos so fun, and I am so glad you have a wonderful husband like him! 🥰 Have a great day and happy holidays 🎅🏻🤶🏻⛄️🎁🎄
These are all incredible! I feel like they are worth even more than $700 with the effort and creativity that goes into them. So the businesses get their names out there so people can order from them if they liked a cake and want to go to the basket for something?
I love the reindeer cake! The facial expression on the reindeer is so good. The airbrush-colouring just adds so much dimension! The work looks super clean. I love the colour of Santa’s eyes.
Love them love them love them!! I’ve missed your videos so much!! Bravo to an amazing couple who seem like so much fun!! Best wishes with everything you are working on! I don’t follow anything baking, cooking or anything like this, but can’t get enough of your channel!
8:42 You CAN bake Ornaments. My mom made an ornament from food. Made the place smell SOOO GOOD! But I have a feeling that whatever she used to make it sturdy and able to stay for years within rotting might've made it inedible… IDK. I know the house would smell amazing and it was really sad when we couldn't put it up last year because apparently it'd been eaten up by bugs or something while it was in the garage.
I would love if you reacted to Cake Boss. I think it would be so interesting to hear your insights 😊 I watched this when it came out, but was watching cake boss and had the idea 😂 So I’m back now!
Thank you so much for describing these cakes. I always love watching your videos welcome back that’s number one number two I’m also visually impaired person so you’re describing these cakes it’s really good
Really loved this episode! That final cake 🤯 I think maybe it'd be good if the clips from the bakeries were edited into the footage rather than watched through the laptop? Either way so glad you're both back, hoping you're doing well, sending love 🥰
OMG this made my day, I was so excited to see a new video... Welcome back. I love the drunken Reindeer and all the anticipation that Kevin used to build that up. I love seeing you but honestly, it's watching the 2 of you working together. You mesh so well.
The first cake is so cute. All the cakes are funny and I would be super happy with all of them, but the first one remember me images inside christmas books I used to read as a child... So warming 🥰
I love watching you squeal when Kevin teases you. FYI... my husband learned the hard way, not to give all your secrets to the client. I won't go in to details, but that can and does bite you in the behind. These cakes are amazing. Drunk deer is my favorite. Happy Holidays from NC.
It's probably too late for this year, but I'd love to see bakeries do non-christmas holidays like Chanukah, Kwanzaa, winter solstice, etc. I feel like it's easy to find inspiration for Christmas but would be more of a challenge for the other winter holidays
I absolutely love the reindeer cake! By the way, I wonder if the reason your dog was sulking was because the cakes were making humming noises from the mechanical aspects? My dog picks up on that kind of thing and hates it even when we don't notice a sound at first.
So by now do these bakeries know who they are making the cake for or do they think it's just an ordinary person bringing it home?!? As this series keeps going it keeps getting better and better I really wanna know if they know its going to be the icing artist ending up with the cake or joemaryann lol I've been wanting a video its nice to see you guys back 💜 Happy Holidays
We usually do bake gingerbread men (and other fun shapes) and then use them as ornaments.. Sometimes we save them for next year as well (we don’t eat them 😂 and of course we then bake another batch for eating). But I thought it is pretty common and was not confused by what this Santa is doing at all 😂 … I am from the Czech republic - Europe for reference 😂 🎄❤️
WELCOME BACK!!!!!! I hope you are feeling better positivity/mental health wise. I love this video but I was surprised to know there are people in the world who don't like mint flavours... It's so refreshing and tasty but that's just me. Anyway I agree with visual favourite. Don't know which I'd choose flavour wise. I love mint but I find choc cakes can be too dry for my liking usually. I think it has to do with the cocoa in it. Plus I don't think I've every drunken egg nog. I know of it but I've just not drunken it. I think the closest equivalent I've had is zabaione. I do like that so maybe I'd like egg nog. Since Australia is summer for Christmas, egg nog isn't as popular.
The creativity is phenomenal and they just keep getting better. This video also makes me realize I have been a subscriber for a year now cause this video last year was one of the first I ever saw
My Favorite is the reindeer also! That is very creative. My favorite Christmas tradition is purchasing a new ornament each year that speaks to the year we have had. It is nice to see you back!!!

Glad your back love all the cakes .The reindeer’s going round and round look like they were going in your mouth couldn’t stop laughing 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
This video reminded me how much I want to be your best friend! And not just for the cake. 😅 Thank you for your squealing and laughter! 🎉
It might be a European thing because we do it as well and I'm British
Ppl did this In America too lol I was wondering why she was so fused and I thought that was an old school over! Not just a countertop
@@CM-pf1xc I thought it was an old school oven as well. I remember my great grandmother's had the smaller side doors like that on hers.
I love the second one! I think they nailed the theme and creativity.
Laurie, you just need to know that you are absolutely amazing and we love you so much!!!
These holiday cake videos are my favorite !
QUESTION : what do you do with them when you’re done?
the 2nd cake's santa is clearly a youtuber posing for a thumbnail
The reindeer cake is amazing. They all did great work.
The Santa flying around your face was so hilariously distracting 😅
The creativity is phenomenal and they just keep getting better. This video also makes me realize I have been a subscriber for a year now cause this video last year was one of the first I ever saw
I think it’s time we elevate this series and have the bakers all in one room and baking together competition style
My Favorite is the reindeer also! That is very creative. My favorite Christmas tradition is purchasing a new ornament each year that speaks to the year we have had. It is nice to see you back!!!
These cakes have really stepped it up from a few years ago..(I'm referring to the foam reindeer head cake which was beautiful, but not creative)
