Do you think it's possible to replace the motor only? Can I find any specs about the motor and replace it with a generic one? I first need to confirm that the motor is malfunctioning but I'll appreciate if you can help me with some thoughts.
Hi, yes you can replace the motor only. You can test the motor by injecting a small voltage to see if the motor runs. The motor can be found by using the search engine. gr. Jim

My Sony DSC-RX100 does not work. The lens stays out when camera is off, and when I turn it on, the screen is either blank or it's zigzag 'snow' (artifacts). What is the problem? The cable seems be good..
