Its a travesty Honda doesn't make something like this bike but with a real quiet exhaust.

It’s very easy to make a turbo bike or vehicle quiet. You just run a muffler out of the turbo exit. He is virtually running no exhaust. The turbo is the only muffler.
A straight piped N/A engine will be much louder than a straight piped turbo engine. The turbo muffles a lot of the sound.

Honda should do to the mini motos what they did to the rebel and give you unique engine sizes so i can get a grom or a trail that is more capable in the speed department

Edit - a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator might save you a lot of headaches here.

I don't know if this exist for bikes, but for cars that doesn't have a MAP sensor, when people add turbo to it they use an FMU. It basically increases fuel pressure when it reads boost. So the injectors can be turned normally as if it's running on NA, but when the boost come on the additional fuel pressure allows more fuel to be injected.
I remember when you posted on Facebook saying I bought a grom where can I get after market parts and I told you that this is going to escalate extremely quickly they are super fun But things do get out of hand real quick For you seems like it got out of hand really quick Bad a** Grom keep up the good work

Before making any major changes like taking the head off I’d try using a smaller air chamber or boost capacitor
+1 with smaller engines a boost plenum helps a lot.

ha ha dude this is so rad ... i want to do this to a gocart myself lol ... but like how does it feel in comparison to that engine stock to it boosted ? like power response and how is transient on the single cyl?... stuff like this is just so fun and it gives us car guys a toy that is not so trouble maken as a boosted car do lol ... peace and love bro keep it rad stay safe and build on ... ps as for your products from other night i would deff do kits and maybe customized lines if u have time cuz alotta ppl struggle with the an line and fittings unless it bs push-locks just my opinion fam peace brotha .. ps ps include the wifes sweets in orders to advertise lol might work i know i like sweets every now n then n i have 2 kids that love em lol n e ways i stop rambling lol ... love this build btw

You don't have enough exhaust back pressure at low end make a spring operated door in the exhaust before the turbo to give back pressure play with the pipe diameter after the the turbo tack a plate on it with a hole 1" smaller hole watch what happens good luck 👍

I'm with you Hunter; don't chase the top speed fellas. I have been doing that with a monkey and realized that some parts were literally falling off of it at the welds with the performance parts installed and running it so hard on the highway. Do not buy nice things for your bike if you plan on pushing the limits, it will just break off. Also do not use swingarm 'extenders', use a quality extended swingarm if you are running more power. Rad bike, dude!

As someone with a cmx300, I would love to know the specs on the turbo and the process you took to get it there. Been looking into aRacer for the engine management system with all of the sensors before fabbing up something.

You can actually use a map in place of the tps although it's some fuckery.. technically its the same signal but the scaling is different I'm sure you can handle it just don't forget it uses it for ignition too.

You should install a Fueltech on your bike!!! It is compact and can manage the entire system.

I think you probably have slightly to large of a turbo and your either out of cam or need to modify the intake some how.

sounds like you're from minasota, buddy.
Couldn't you add a map sensor, or MAF ?.
I'd personally just swap a 250-700cc 2 Stroke into it, huge reduction in weight, more power, runs much better without needing all that extra tuning, and cheap maintenance.
You can buy a built CR500 based 548cc 2 Stroke that'll make over 100hp and over 70lb-ft of torque, even a stock early CR500R engine would make more and weight less than half of what you're running here..... there's a guy running an RD350/Banshee 350 twin 2t in his Grom and it's a God damn monster, let alone a 100hp+ 548cc CR based 😅
sounds like an angry lawn-mower at low revs... damn funny thing and who wouldn't want a high hp Grom? It's why I bought a cb300r.

I'd try playing with your timing in regards to that hesitation in first, - 2° and see if it makes a difference (not sure if you can tune by gear with aracer?) How much boost is it making when its breaking up?

does the ecu support a map sensor or will you just have to keep the alpha n tuning?
Because it's a single-cylinder engine it probably won't run well with a map sensor because it will have huge vacuum spikes and have a super unstable reading at lower rpms. With single-cylinder engines, you have to tune them like they are ITBs and run alpha n. There is a way to have a mix of the two and have alpha n on lower rpms but that might be hard to do with his ecu.
@@nickschwartz7589 Could probably hack it with a little vacuum chamber hooked up to the intake through a tuned orifice. Make it just small enough to smooth out the vacuum spikes a bit. It doesn't matter if the reading strays some from actual, if it's consistent and proportional it can still be tanned to.
Why would you install a turbo without a map sensor? doesn't make any sense. fueling will be off every time, except idle

It’s still limited by gearing, so you just get to 65mph a little faster and it looks and sounds way cooler

@The Chad you have no idea how any of this works. A cbr250/300 with its factory 14t front sprocket and the back wheel from a grom with its stock 130/70-12 size tire and stock 34t rear sprocket will do 80mph at 10k. The math doesn't lie, a grom with nothing more than a cbr250/300 engine swapped into it will do just shy of 85mph at its 10500rpm limiter with the stock cbr front sprocket and the stock grom rear wheels setup and sprocket.
