Very fun though used to fly around corners and roundabouts. Never felt embarrassed but I realised people would laugh especially girls. You need to have confidence to drive this haha.

They were not cheap on insurance when I paid for my first year. £4000 my insurance cost me as I was a young male driver on my own policy. Brilliant little car though, I loved my little micra.
If the young driver declares to the insurance company the modifications they either won’t get insurance or it will be very expensive. If they don’t declare it their insurance will not be valid.
Martyn Lewis depends who you're insured with mate, I'm 19 and always modified my cars since passing when I was 17. Declared everything never had any issues, wasn't even that expensive either. All depends on who you're insured with.

I do like the mod scene of these cars. Cheap to fix too. Needs some sort of turbo or engine transplant to get decent power from these. Also love the paintwork by the way
I had a Micra facelift... I slammed that on 8j minilites 😎 chasis rails use to scrape absolutely everywhere and cost £250 all in, but for a ridiculously cheap daily they can be fun... only blew a ht lead the entire year of abuse was pennies. 😅😅

Got the k12 version, year 2004 1.2 liter 80hp...not fast at all, but it's so much fun to use on twisty roads. Btw I always wanted to put wheels like yours and slam it all the way down, and also wanted to remove the back seat.
Did you get a fiesta zetec s? To be honest best to get the mk6 or mk7 fiesta zetec s with the 1.6 diesel engine. Have a 1.6 diesel mk6 zetec s and it's cheap to run. I don't really work so need a cheap runabout with the sporty exterior which this car works for me 👍

Micra's class old retro had a 1.3si (1999) with 4 branch manifold and cherrybomb exhaust -sounded like an impreza. Ultra reliable cheap motors.
