    Seeing your "mirror finish under any microscope would give you nightmares. Those shears were in much better condition before you began. They didn't have deep 320 grit scratches 1/4" above the cutting edge. If your going to be working more than the edge make it look factory. Better yet, only hone the edge. That was more of a rough re-profiling of the relief angle.

      @@cattle_dog please consider this is a video to show you from 320 grits to polishing. I am not able to find anything like that online. Normal progression is 600 and then going up. You can go as little as 200 grits increment until you think you want to buff it. Sharpeners in the field need something quick and easy. We adjust the pace as we need to. I am not the best in sharpening. I share what I think my sharpeners wants to see.
