It's been 5 years since this video has been produced and I am curious how long the diamond plate has lasted and how many shears you have serrated?

Thank you for this video. I am surprised at how few have seen this. CBN and diamond resin wheels and stones need regular maintenance to perform correctly. I tend to use abrasives embedded in a rubber compound for daily maintenance and SIC on glass for flattening. keep up the great work.

Keep in mind a 9 micron diamond abrasive is nothing like a 9 micron water stone. Or a 9 micron aluminum oxide. Or a 9 micron ceramic. The particles are shaped very, very pointy on diamonds and they tend to leave a finish that is several grades lower (rougher) than their micron, grit, or mesh ratings would seem to indicate.
