I landed my first kick flip in like '93. People from that time say I could pop em' pretty high (although there's no video of me from those days to prove that either way). I got them back 'okay' since getting back into skating seriously again 6 months ago, but they come and go and the pop ain't really there these days. But seriously, this video made me as psyched to go out and skate as anything I've seen - including Mariano's Mouse part..! Thanks for sharing your wisdom, bro. I appreciate you. AjC
I've been skating for over 10 years and have been using videos like this to improve my switch and I must say this was a very well done video and basically the same way I learned kickflips I would use my driveway and do them into the grass to get the grasp of rolling with them too because there's allot of kids who seem to only have flat ground standing still in place (Just like my switch skating lol)
You helped me so much with the kickflip. I haven't landed it yet but thanks to you i learned how to flick my foot up cause before i would flick my foot down thank you though
For me it has been about 5 years developing my kickflip, i can control them and do them several ways, a curb is the highest thing i can seem to do them off of (except a couple times off a knee high drop at the skatepark.)
If you can kickflip off of a curb, you can do it off a bigger drop. It's just commitment and speed at that point since you can already kickflip consistently.
when i skated all the time i lost kickflips when i learnt hardflips and fs flips, it would always turn frontside a bit. Now getting back into it 9 years later and i can pop em great but i cant fully flick to save my life lol fakie seems to be easier for some reason
ive landed my first kickflip 4 months ago and till this day i haven't got them consistent even though i practice almost every single day. ill try like hundred times and land once. I'll always land half-flip or primo with both my feet and it gets really frustrating. I think my problem is my front foot not kicking out far enough. if I try to land with one of either foot I can get the full rotation no problem, but when trying to land with both feet ill not make the full rotation. will ninja kick fix this for me haha
Yo been 4 months how's it looking? I've been practicing kick flips for around 2 weeks and have landed least like two a session, did you ever get that consistency?
@@michaeljimenez239 in these 4 months I’ve adjusted so many things about my own kickflip. well now I can land a kickflip every maybe 5 tries maybe? But Honestly it’s always different, still have problems with consistency, some days I can land like almost every kickflip sometimes I just can’t.
