Battery life gets A LOT BETTER after the first week or two weeks, about 48 - 55 hours with normal usage, same as other users reported on reddit galaxy watch forum
@@gabrielsouzaperes1084 I generally put it on charging in the morning while I get ready for work and have breakfast. Since full charging takes about 2hrs, so given that watch still has 30-40% juice left after 24hrs, 1-1.5hrs charging everyday should charge it fully. Set this daily routine, and no worries ✌️

This is VERY misleading in some parts. Several times you compare simply Galaxy Watch 4 Classic to Galaxy Watch 4. Without more clarification. Both watches have two variants each. GW4C has 46 and 42 mm size and GW4 has 44 and 40 mm. The 46mm GW4C and the 44mm GW4 have exactly the same internals, same SoC, same battery!, same display and resolution! Same goes for the two smaller sizes. So the bigger variants of both have exactly the same battery. Thus saying GW4C has a better battery than GW4, without clarifying which size variant you are talking about is simply wrong and pretty misleading. I like your channel and otherwise a nice review and a nice video and if you write this clarification in your description or with notes on the screen, the video will be much better and much more accurate. :)
Anybody with common sense knows larger models (bigger mm on watches or plus, pro, ultra on phones) equals better internals with electronics. So its kind of just a given fact that the larger mm of the newer one will have a better battery.
I purchased the 46mm in black 3 days ago. I had worn a Tag Heuer diving watch everyday for 20 + years & finally decided it was time for a change & since I have the galaxy S21 + I thought I'd give the smart watch a go. First thing I did was go to a local watchmaker and choose a matching black metal strap with a closure similar to the Tags. The 44mm Watch 4 actually has the same battery capacity as the 46mm Watch 4 Classic. I much prefer the 44mm version because it's slimmer and after putting a case, if becomes a guide for my touch bezel. But nothing beats a physical one.
I still got my gear s3 frontier from the stone age lol and works like a charm. It lasts me with light use for around 2.5 days with always on display turned off. It also has sleep tracking and auto detection for workouts ..... so no need to upgrade for me.
I just purchased the same 46mm classic version for less than $150 brandnew from the local vendor of samsung here in my country and I'd say it's pretty damn worth it considering the non sale price is $400
I have the original Samsung Galaxy Watch 46mm and I have the New Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 44mm. The screens are exactly the same size as the extra 2mm is in the bezel not the screen. I enjoy them both as my Samsung Galaxy Watch 46mm looks big and beefy unlike the more anemic Samsung Watch 4 46mm "Classic". My Samsung Watch 4 44mm has all the guts of the Classic only its more sleek and slim. (Especially with my 3rd party Mesh wristband. ($10). And yes the 44mm is as big as the Actual screen gets. My original Samsung Watch utilizes Tizen OS while my New Samsung Watch 4 utilizes Wear OS 3. There is no comparison. The Wear OS along with the new faster internals is much more fluid and user friendly. Additionally it gives you the long awaited use of Google Play store which is not available on the Tizen OS.... Only Samsung App Store which is a bit of a let down. Overall, I like both my watches but prefer the New Galaxy 4. Save yourself some cash and get the 44mm Model. The 46mm Classic just isn't worth the extra expense because again, you get the same size screen. It's not much Bigger and the internals are Exactly the same. Finally, the SGW4 44mm has a virtual rotating bezel that works just as good or better than the "Classic" actual bezel.
No, the virtual bezel of the GW4 is not as convenient to use as the physical bezel of the GW4C. I have both watches and I find the virtual bezel of the GW4 can be over sensitive at times and scroll past what I want or fail to register my touch if my fingers are damp - I have no such issues with my GW4C I'm not saying the virtual bezel is bad, it's just not as good as the physical bezel.
Does it have all the features if you have a Samsung phone not from the Galaxy series? I.e the rugged phones that Samsung offers are not called Galaxy, so do you still get the ECG?
Cheers for the review. I have the 46mm GW4C. The snore detection is disconcerting but pretty accurate. Over half the 16gb memory is used by the OS and preloaded apps. Just wish GA would arrive. Blood pressure would be good too but not essential.
Is it possible to disable the bezel so I don't go to the menu when I turn or rotate. I want the bezel even when turning not to go to the menu, I need to stay in front of the poinsters to use the tachymeter
It's always great watching your videos, it's always a comedic affair... I had a feeling you'd be zapping the watch in this one, I'm so glad you did 😂😂😂
My Galaxy Watch 4 Classic got wet in the swimming pool and stopped working. The Samsung website mentions that my warranty expires in November 2022, but Samsung said that as the watch got wet, my warranty is VOIDED. Hence, I have to pay $ 198 to repair the watch. I told them NO and my Galaxy watch is being returned to me WITHOUT any repair being done. So the IP 68 rating is only good until it gets wet, after which one is screwed.
Been using this watch for a month now, love it, swapped the band's out straight away and now it fits perfectly round my wrist, highly recommend. Strava didn't work which kind of sucked but the Samsung health app seems to be better with the watch. I have the watch paired with my oppo a54 5g but kind of do want a Samsung galaxy to have the extra features.
Excellent fun review as always and can confirm all your points. Due to the less than 2 day battery life, it is the most frustrating of devices. I have had the Active 2 since launch and that lasts over 2 days comfortably on same settings. But let us not be surprised, it is Google after all now. I just wish I could turn off Sleept Tracking as even with the extra features 'off', it still cnsumes more battery than in the day with AOD on. I have also bought the Amazfit GTR 2e during mad sale, but despite the fabolous batterly life, the miniscule fonts and texts, quirky and inconsistent message receipts are even more frustrating.
The do not disturb sync is definitely not working on mine. That is probably my biggest downfall for the watch. If I set my phone to do not disturb, the call still goes through to my watch and I get both sound and vibration, waking up to lovely spam calls at 8am. I have no idea how to amend it.
Can I set/make the watch track and alert me live by the followings during workout session: - High heart rate notification, - set heart rate range notification min-max values, - set pace alert, - set duration, distance, pace, etc? Same for biking, etc. Like in a cheap fitness band like Xiaomi Mi Band 4-5-6 etc Thank you for your answer!
Quick question, I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic - Wi-Fi version (not LTE) and I was told that if my phone and watch lose Bluetooth connectivity and my watch is still connected to Wi-Fi I would be able to make calls from my watch via my Wi-Fi connection. This feature is not working! I'm very frustrated, is this or is it not a thing?
I have a Watch 4 for just under a week. It's such a beautiful watch with lots of new features. An upgrade from my Gear 3 which I had for about 4 years. I'm really loving it 👍🏻👍🏻
Great review, absolutely spot on 👍👍. Its also great to watch a review and understand all whats being said. If you know what I mean. Would this watch be any good with iPhone 13. Thinking of getting one. Do look a great watch ( samsung classic 4)
Upgraded from the Active 2 (40mm) to the Watch 4 classic (46mm). My battey life is was bad at first, lasting less then a day, but after some updates battery life is great, and could even go on to more then 2 days with light usage. Still some bugs, like calls being at a really low volume and id have to lower the volume and put it back to max to get the proper volume. also the speaker is not as loud as i'd like it to be. my watch 2 and my partner's gear s3 have a stronger speaker, which is weird because when I play music from the watch it does get louder then taking a phone call. UI is smooth with a hiccup every once in a while, which didnt happen on my active 2. I think it is currently the best android smart watch, and i believe it will get better with future updates, and google assistant (by the end of the year hopefully)
Got this for my gf as a bday present and really not impressed with the battery. I have an huawei p30 Pro and so also a huawei watch and that can last about two weeks between charging. Not even 2 days is ridiculous, I'm contemplating giving her the money instead for a watch so it's on her! Haha!
"Rocking out to a little bit of metal or god forbid ed Sheeran" new subscriber because of this! Lol. Funniest review I've seen, loved the assistant part. Just got this watch and am loving it! Also, what is a fortnight??
Hi, my my problem is, that my watch is overheating within two minutes or less of calling with the LTE function. Also the battery life isn't that good. After five ours on my table, because I left it at home accidentally it lost over 28% (maybe that's normal I don't know 😅, but it seems pretty much). Now my main problem .. I can only return my watch in the first 14 days after buying. That means, if I use my watch longer and the battery life and the overheating doesn't getting better, I won't have a chance to return it. 😬 Without that problems, the watch would be fantastic. 👌 Should I try it? Best wishes very nice video. (Sry for my English if there are any mistakes)
I always charge my watch prior to bed while watching TV at night. I still have the original Galaxy Watch which is finally starting to have issues. The 4 classic with the bezel is the only affordable option in Canada right now. I have everything Samsung and I love that my workouts (Samsung Health) are paired with my Samsung OLED TV. I can pull everything right up at night on the big screen instead of relying on my phone. Now is the band on this watch the 20mm as I've heard or is it the 22mm band? I want to upgrade my band if i decide to purchase this watch on sale. However it doesn't tell me the band size, only the watch size of 46mm. Any clarification on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and I absolutely love your humor in your videos. Im glad im not an apple person because the square watch is just ugly to me. 🤣
You should charge it before you go to bed, it takes like 30mins to full charge if on 40~50% and then wear it to bed to record sleep in airplane mode and then its on like 95%+ when you wake up and then you just repeat but great review man ended up buying the watch myself
Is this watch worth getting, I've been checking reviews for months and people are saying it over heats?battery life is to short.. if you leave the hr monitor and ecg monitor on all day what would you get out of it?is the hauwei gt 3, metal strap a better buy at £299?longer battery etc.. or should I wait for the samsung watch 5?????🤔🤔🤔
By chance did you try the 42mm? What might battery life be between the 2 classic versions? I bought the 46 and thinking it is a bit big on my wrist.thx.
Cheers for the review. I've got the S3 and it is still my daily driver, I won't seriously consider an update till Google Assistant. Frustrating about Samsung's attempted HW lockin though
I mistakenly ordered a 42mm LTE version from o2. Stupidly I wanted the 46mm since previously rocking the ticwatch pro and gears3. Nicely though act nice to people over the phone and they just swapped it over (even though my contract still mentions I'm on the 42mm). Overall loving it and bigger is definitely better the 42 just looked tiny.
Since I lost my watch in the ocean while surfing I bought a galaxy watch active for 60 dollars, I am planning to upgrade in June 2022 to watch active four 44mm then!
Nice review, thanks There is a hot deal now (in Ireland) for 409eur 🤣 but i was lucky and bought it (46mm classic silver) during my holidays in Spain in Mediamarkt for 214eur😉😁😁 on offer, btw the regular price in Spain is ~309eur (~250eur on offer), so still a bargain compared to IRL or UK. See but the body composition is worth it imo. Tells me my muscle mass percentage and body fat percentage so that's awesome
The older watches are the best quality and last longer with battery life
@@brandonball5971 buy a weight scale if you take that seriously..
@@brandonball5971 apparently the body fat is very inaccurate
Don't forget about MST payment type. My Gear S3 just gave up the ghost after 6 years 😢. Verizon sent me a Galaxy Watch 4 as a replacement.
I just purchased the same 46mm classic version for less than $150 brandnew from the local vendor of samsung here in my country and I'd say it's pretty damn worth it considering the non sale price is $400
what about battery?
@@rominnooo So far I'm getting about 1 ½ to 2 days by following some dudes tutorial on how to increase time of usage.
@@DiabolicalSpender is the lte version worth it?
@@THEGM1234 I only got the bluetooth variant. I mainly receive and make calls in viber so I think me getting the LTE variant will make no sense.
@@DiabolicalSpender thanks for the feedback. Also where did you buy yours?
There's also the aesthetics of the bezel though too. I personally think the classic version looks much much better. Maybe not $100 better though.
What's your wrist size?
Thank you so much!
"Bixby is only good to tell you how shit the weather is gonna be" That's hilarious! Am still in stitches!
But it has blood pressure testing ???
@@MrKrueger88 not in the US yet. Supposed to have it once it gets FDA approval. But it can be side loaded
I got the silver 46 silver. Visuals and scroll is epic, super smooth
Is it possible to disable the bezel so I don't go to the menu when I turn or rotate. I want the bezel even when turning not to go to the menu, I need to stay in front of the poinsters to use the tachymeter
Nice review, what do you think it's better galaxy watch 4 classic or ticwatch 3 pro ultra?
Wasn't planning to, but "massive serving of battered bollocks" made the decision for me. Subscribed.
As a fitness tracker measuring hearts rates etc, it honestly sucks... as a smartwatch in general it's one of the best watches imho.
Great video! Have you had the chance to try Ticwatch pro 3? Would be cool to hear your toughts.. pros and cons vs. Samsung watch 4 classic.
I really enjoyed the honesty and the fun review here. I'm gonna buy this on sale to replace my ageing Galaxy Watch 46mm.
I just Traded in my Galaxy Watch 3, To the New 4 Classic! With Google added, It's finally the All in one Watch I've always wanted. ⌚🥰

Awesome as always brother! Any chance we’ll be seeing a fossil gen 6 review from you? 👀

Thanks for nice review! How is Huawei gt 3 active compared to this one?
love the review great info and humour i'm getting a classic.......nothing is perfect
I just about keeled over when Bixby came up, spot on reaction lmao
which is better between galaxy watch 4 classic vs apple se 2?
It's always great watching your videos, it's always a comedic affair... I had a feeling you'd be zapping the watch in this one, I'm so glad you did 😂😂😂
I am unable to use with iPhone 12 pro max . If there is some way, kindly do share it.
Great review and loved the humour!
Is it good to buy now this watch
Finally a refreshing way to review tech 👍
Been using this watch for a month now, love it, swapped the band's out straight away and now it fits perfectly round my wrist, highly recommend. Strava didn't work which kind of sucked but the Samsung health app seems to be better with the watch. I have the watch paired with my oppo a54 5g but kind of do want a Samsung galaxy to have the extra features.
If you dnt have a galaxy jus wait a few months for the S22 models to drop early 2022
When you say that Strava doesn't work, what do you mean? It doesn't run at all? Thank you so much for your time
@@FRamirez1A I'd like to know this, too
Excellent fun review as always and can confirm all your points.
I think you might need to enable it in settings. I could be wrong, i dont have mine yet.
Can I set/make the watch track and alert me live by the followings during workout session: - High heart rate notification, - set heart rate range notification min-max values, - set pace alert, - set duration, distance, pace, etc?
Same for biking, etc.
Like in a cheap fitness band like Xiaomi Mi Band 4-5-6 etc
Thank you for your answer!
Great delivery natural and fluent. Love the cussing lol
Got it, using it, love it ... bigger battery? No but i can live with it. Watch 3 was longer 2.5 days approx, this one is a day and a half about
Enjoyed the video.
Love the concealer bro 😉
Quick question, I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic - Wi-Fi version (not LTE) and I was told that if my phone and watch lose Bluetooth connectivity and my watch is still connected to Wi-Fi I would be able to make calls from my watch via my Wi-Fi connection. This feature is not working! I'm very frustrated, is this or is it not a thing?
I have a Watch 4 for just under a week. It's such a beautiful watch with lots of new features. An upgrade from my Gear 3 which I had for about 4 years. I'm really loving it 👍🏻👍🏻
What about the battery
I heard battery life has greatly improved after last update
Great review, absolutely spot on 👍👍. Its also great to watch a review and understand all whats being said. If you know what I mean. Would this watch be any good with iPhone 13. Thinking of getting one. Do look a great watch ( samsung classic 4)
Will you be review the fossil gen 6?
The actual version don't have google assistant?
Than*
Got this for my gf as a bday present and really not impressed with the battery.
I snagged it for $205 new, should be here in a few days. It'll be my first smart watch, so hopefully i can put it to good use.
Can you use the wear app and change faces even use photos from your phone?
Great review, cheers bud
(Sry for my English if there are any mistakes)
very professional video and doesn't waste time
Does the galaxy watch force you to install galaxy crapware? I spent hours removing stuff from my phone (like Ant+ and galaxy apps).
It only takes 15 seconds for your watch to judge you. That could be the premise for a dystopian sci-fi novel.
Best comment bud!
44m watch 4 for $114 vs 42 watch 4 classic for $185 with trade in..... Worth the upgrade for either from the watch 3?
You should charge it before you go to bed, it takes like 30mins to full charge if on 40~50% and then wear it to bed to record sleep in airplane mode and then its on like 95%+ when you wake up and then you just repeat but great review man ended up buying the watch myself

Cheers for the review. I've got the S3 and it is still my daily driver, I won't seriously consider an update till Google Assistant. Frustrating about Samsung's attempted HW lockin though
Apparently Google assistant can be side loaded 👍
I mistakenly ordered a 42mm LTE version from o2. Stupidly I wanted the 46mm since previously rocking the ticwatch pro and gears3. Nicely though act nice to people over the phone and they just swapped it over (even though my contract still mentions I'm on the 42mm). Overall loving it and bigger is definitely better the 42 just looked tiny.
Since I lost my watch in the ocean while surfing I bought a galaxy watch active for 60 dollars, I am planning to upgrade in June 2022 to watch active four 44mm then!
