I think the mindset tips are really important. I used to have A LOT of limiting beliefs about making money but I'm slowly learning how to move past them and come up with new beliefs that are more positive and empowering.
If your investment experience is less than 10 years start with a 5-6 portfolio. Don't bet big on any single company, learn the process first... Initially diversification is not that bad, it worked for me in initial year's, remember that protection of capital is a must.
Market crashes are an opportune time to protect capital in the sense that one can gain a year of growth from the bottom of a crash in a matter of months. The last crash provided over a decade of growth in the majority of stocks. Always be ready to jump at these opportunities.
Money lessons to know in early 20s 1. Understand inflation. 2.know the diff. Btw good debt and bad debt. 3. Learn about crypto currency. 4. Start investing early 5. Growing up poor, I do have a bit of advice I learned later in life. It is easier to manage money when you have money to manage. That being said, I have taken steps to grow my money. I invested $100 ( took me a while to save it) in Johnson & Johnson stock. After 3 months I made $.66 in dividends. Having $5000 in my emergency fund only made $1.23. I won’t give up my emergency fund because I did use part of it recently and it was great having the money to do that. I will be investing more money into dividend stocks in the future. I’m 60 and I wish I had learned this when I was 20!
@@calmlife4187 I actually talked to a financial planner at Edward Jones. It was free. She set up a debt (credit cards) repayment plan. What I need in savings. What I have left over to invest. You will need to get on a budget, but you can do it. Michelle really helped me start on that path.

This is such an important topic. Being first generation in the United States I felt and still sometimes feel like I'm playing catch up. For the longest time it was difficult to find easily digestible information regarding money and investment.
I’m curious what people think of crypto future. I remember reading in the book of Hararri that the reason why money has become the main mode of transaction is the fact that it is easy to understand and easy to use. I feel like crypto is none of these things, but I may not be educated enough. As of now, I view crypto as just a play field for investors
I am so impressed - you seem to be so wise on money matters, and yet you are still so young - your maturity gives me hope for the future generation. I am 68 and wish I knew what you do when I was your age!
I truly had no idea about bad debts and good debts because I was told that ALL debts are bad. This video is so packed with information! Thank you so much!
So well explained ! In fact, I should have known some lessons almost 18 years back. When starting one's job or Business life, one should start building an emergency reserve and yes, my own experience with Credit Card Debts has been bad and learnt the lessons the hard way. So anyone seeing this video should appreciate this one.

Start planning for your retirement now

It’s a genuine threat to banks and governments and so I think it’s only a matter of time before it becomes so big that it’s banned and made illegal. It’s also not very environmentally sustainable considering the amount of energy it uses. I think it will be a bit of a boom and bust. But still worth learning about.

I use to be weary of credit cards since growing up my mom had a hard time with credit card companies. But now as I'm older I found credit cards to be essential for every day purchases. My two rules with credit cards are not to spend money that I don't have in my bank and to pay off my cards every time I get paid. There are perks to using credit cards for everyday use like getting cashback or getting points for hotels or travel. I also feel more secure using my credit card for purchases since if money is stolen from my credit card I can cancel card and get the money back quicker than if it was my debit card. Plus the money stolen isn't my personal money from my personal account which gives me more peace of mind. I realized that my mom had a hard time controlling her spending and paying her bill on time which now I understand that credit cards aren't for everyone.
Thank u so much for this video! Im 18 currently and I'm trying to save money as early as possible. Im thinking about doing stocks and shares and maybe get a credit card to build good points. This is perfect timing!

Thank you so much for this video, I needed to hear that! I would love to hear you talk more about this kind of topics, and giving us thoughts and knowledge you got from non-fiction books you recently read.
I'm feeling some resistance to the comment about owning rental properties as "passive" income. If you own the building then every single maintenance problem is yours to deal with. That's an active job or you have to pay someone else to do that active job so you have to be willing to give up time or money. I live in a community where absentee landlords are common, squeezing money out of young college students and low income residents and never being there when the mold is making your child sick or the basement floods. I'm sure that's true in other communities, but not universally true in all housing markets. I have faith that the Laviloves wouldn't be that kind of slumlord, but I hate the thought of someone thinking of making "easy money" when in fact they have so much responsibility.
I am young right now so I don't think about that much like retirement but after watching the video I learned a lot that you have to make good enough money so then you can live happily
Hi aileen I just wanna say that you motivate me a lot. You make me believe that nothing is impossible if we try and I'm so happy that I found your channel last year coz you help me a lot in improving myself. 😭
I don't trade, I invest with a professional assigned by a crypto company that trades for me and returns profits on weekly basis for me and you can invest your capital and get weekly Returns of investment (ROI) without any extra fees attached
Aileen, thank you so much for these tips!!! If I could turn back the time, I would have invested all of my Chinese New Year red envelopes into Apple stock pre-iPhone and start with crypto early. But now is better than never! Trying to do my best right now to save and invest while paying down student loans. Love your videos and the calming auras you provide for all of us!
Credit people =creditors also with real estate keep taxes and upkeep in mind because we just liquidated our 3 houses and are going more with our investments.
I paid off all my debt when I was deployed last year and when I came back I bought a house. That’s the only debt I have now, I really want to start investing my money. I just need to understand it. I tried understanding it back in 2018 when Michelle Phan tried to explain it lol but I was still lost in the sauce.
"no one has more time than young people" is a flawed sentence. that's for (already) wealthy young people, who don't have families to feed so they work part time jobs. this video has interesting information that i'll definitely be meditating on (even if some of it probably doesn't apply to me as a non usamerican person). id' like to say, however, to the younger, more impressionable people watching, that it's okay if you don't have neither the time nor energy to invest, or learn about crypto, ESPECIALLY if you've got mouths to feed. to say that everyone will be using crypto in the future is the same as saying that everyone will use electric cars. some of us, the wealthier people, do, some of us, the less wealthy, don't. & that didn't bring any fundamental changes to our society. so please don't burden your mind with stress you don't need. always take information, even from well meaning people, with a grain of salt. & always look for communal support
i'm saying even if you're not wealthy, you can still learn to invest $20 while you're young and yes, working hard to support yourself & your family. you don't need a large amount of money to learn about investing & how it works - so it helps to start young. also, it depends on how far into the future you're talking about, but I do personally believe that everyone will use electric cars in the future lol. (you really don't think so in 100 years?) but that's bc I already have one and i see the trend happening fast in California. fossil fuels are not the way to go for the future. eventually we'll be able to use solar power for a lot cheaper than it is now, so electricity will get cheaper & cheaper over time :) but i also agree with you to take all advice with a grain of salt, because ppl come from so many different perspectives and backgrounds.
Wow Aileen.. Happy to see you with a new video. This is very helpful to me because I was struggling with saving money. Thank you so much for these tips. Also, Congratulations for 1.5M again.😃🥳💖💖😍

I love this video. Thanks. But I have reservations about crypto because it's very polluting. People don't seem to know this but, mining for crypto takes incredible amounts of energy. That energy has to come from from somewhere. Where I live there are huge data mining companies that now want to build large power plants to increase their crypto mining speed or volume. So maybe we should think twice before wanting that to be the future of our money
It's so true that how you grew up and the generational mindset can have an impact. I've never started investing because it wasn't a "thing" back in my day. Now everyone is talking about it and I'm starting to gather information, etc. on money tips now that I have a better job and some savings. I used to be very poor and it was hard to save any money..

Ever wonder why most companies only offer a 3-5% Raise and you’re still poor? They only give you a raise to match inflation.
and sadly, inflation may rise faster than salaries, and the salaries simply fall behind over time
So companies give lesser than 3 percent ...

The fact that I can invest right now when I'm young was the most interesting one for me❤❤❤❤❤❤ thank you I loved the video
I am grateful that I took financial management major in college and one day I will be like you sharing my insights in a financial matter
please tell us more about limiting beliefs about money😇
Thank u so much for this video! Im 18 currently and I'm trying to save money as early as possible. Im thinking about doing stocks and shares and maybe get a credit card to build good points. This is perfect timing!

Thank you so much for this video, I needed to hear that! I would love to hear you talk more about this kind of topics, and giving us thoughts and knowledge you got from non-fiction books you recently read.
Thank you Lavendaire, every time I watch your videos I am so uplifted and inspired! You are wonderful :)
Would be able to do a video on starting or getting in to crypto as a beginner
You literally are my big sister. My life would be seriously different if you didn't do youtube. You are an angel on earth ❤️
Regarding investing in cryptocurrency, do you have concerns about the environmental impact of crypto mining, Alieen?
All tips are very vital !
Thank you Lavendaire. Your info is useful at any age and of course better to know from a young age
what about the environmental impact from crypto from all the energy it uses...
I am young right now so I don't think about that much like retirement but after watching the video I learned a lot that you have to make good enough money so then you can live happily
your future self will thank you for it :)
@@lavendaire and then it's gonna remind me of you
Hi aileen I just wanna say that you motivate me a lot. You make me believe that nothing is impossible if we try and I'm so happy that I found your channel last year coz you help me a lot in improving myself. 😭
what is the best way to make money from investing?💥💥🔥
I don't trade, I invest with a professional assigned by a crypto company that trades for me and returns profits on weekly basis for me and you can invest your capital and get weekly Returns of investment (ROI) without any extra fees attached
The professional is Ms Roseline
yeah that's right I think the best way is to invest with a professional, at least it saves the trauma of too much losses
This just surprised me because I also invest with Ms Roseline
Wow! I made a lot of money last year trading with Ms Roseline
All tips are hundred percent really helpful thanks for making this video! ✨
Thank you @lavendaire for this video.
Love you videos so much they have inpired me to start my own chanell so thank you
Good Advice
Aileen, thank you so much for these tips!!!
If I could turn back the time, I would have invested all of my Chinese New Year red envelopes into Apple stock pre-iPhone and start with crypto early. But now is better than never! Trying to do my best right now to save and invest while paying down student loans. Love your videos and the calming auras you provide for all of us!
What software do you use for your videos?😊

Time is the most valuable thing. Thank you for sharing these useful tips! I am definitely excited to invest more. Many blessings and much gratitude! 💛
I really liked the idea of investing as early as possible...cuz it's not late yet...I should get started 😄
I paid off all my debt when I was deployed last year and when I came back I bought a house. That’s the only debt I have now, I really want to start investing my money. I just need to understand it. I tried understanding it back in 2018 when Michelle Phan tried to explain it lol but I was still lost in the sauce.
I always get refurbished or the iPhone SE and it saves me hundreds of dollars 🙌🏻
Thank you for sharing this video with the world 🎉🎉🎉
Hi, sis. Thank you for your videos. They have helped me to find my real me
I'm 17 years old and i'll do this💗
You’re genuinely my inspiration
(you really don't think so in 100 years?) but that's bc I already have one and i see the trend happening fast in California. fossil fuels are not the way to go for the future. eventually we'll be able to use solar power for a lot cheaper than it is now, so electricity will get cheaper & cheaper over time :)
but i also agree with you to take all advice with a grain of salt, because ppl come from so many different perspectives and backgrounds.
Thank you so much for this video!!!
You're amazing girl!!! I love your energy and most of all I love how sweet your voice is 🥰🥰 your voice is perfect for meditation❤️

I'm sure you changing so many lives❤
Thank you for this video Aileen ! It was a true moment of enlightenment ✨
Aileen this video was unique! It felt like you are my elder sister talking to me 💓 I'm gonna learn all about these things now on ✨
Only if you were my Finance teacher.. Such an important video. You are amazing 🥰
Do something today that your future self will thank you for. 💚☺️
Another great vid, thanks Aileen! 🥰
Great information for people of all ages . Def keep hearing about crypto
Yeah, I wish I could do crypto-investing but I'm from a country where crypto transactions aren't allowed... :(
10:40 is true. I go to my guy friends when I want to talk about stock market investing, my female friends...just don’t.
these were amazing!! thank you so much💞
It's so true that how you grew up and the generational mindset can have an impact. I've never started investing because it wasn't a "thing" back in my day. Now everyone is talking about it and I'm starting to gather information, etc. on money tips now that I have a better job and some savings. I used to be very poor and it was hard to save any money..
Can please someone recommend me finance books other than the basic ones.... Because I have readed most of them.... 🙏🙏
thanks for this, I took notes and will think this serious, hope I'll do some actual things too
